Had a bad first experience. My order wasn't ready by the time frame I chose. Decided to give them another try, placed an order, arrived thirty minutes after the window opened, called to let them know I was here. They told me my order would be out in 2 minutes. Then they called me and told me there were 4 people ahead of me and my order hadn't even been started. Told me it would be another hour.I don't understand why you would offer a spectrum of time for pick up and not be ready for those times.. I also noticed they didn't start shopping for my order until after the pickup window started. If you're not going to have my order ready by that time, DONT offer it? Time is a luxury, and spending it in a safeway parking lot waiting for my order IN the pickup window is not how I like to spend my time.

Stood in line to get a deli sandwich, got turned away when it was my turn. "Sorry they were my last customer". I rolled my cart off to the side and walked out. I had gotten boar's head samples from the boar's head person and was extremely hungry. Off to find a replacement sandwich place and a new grocery store.

They have some awesome weekly deals on meat. Why pay $8.99 a pound for tri tip plus a membership fee at Costco when I can get it on sale for $3.97 a pound at Safeway? Having guests who need to drink poisonous sugary liquid to survive? No problem. Right now you can buy two 12-packs of soda or Aha (if they don’t want good ole fructose) and get three 12-packs for free. Will you pay more for produce? Yes. BUT they have accumulating totals where you get money back when you hit certain dollar amounts to lessen the overall cost. And sometimes they have crazy produce sales too. I just bought a 5 pound bag of potatoes for 97 cents. Not per pound, total.Basically just shop their deals and you’ll save a ton.

Was in here yesterday morning around 830 am and the aisles were still full of ladders and stocker carts blocking already small aisles. I had my AirPods on full blast and could still hear the workers de palletizing bread pallets loudly and violently. The store manager had on a Jerry Rice t shirt and was chilling in the employees only freezer talking to a younger lady when I left. The cash register lady asked me “if there was a game on today”. I told her I don’t watch sports and put my AirPod back in after I took it out to hear what she was asking. I usually turn the music down and read lips at checkout, the usual “hello, did you find everything etc”. This register lady asked me questions nonstop with no regard to my head phones. Additionally I had to go out in the rain and get my own extra cart because they were incapable of packing a cart correctly ie hotdogs in a bag with cereal boxes…when I came back in the store mid checkout all my extra bags were on the store floor instead of the counter. I thought I was on an episode of candid camera. She then asked if I needed help out…I said no then she said “are you sure”? I almost lost it. I headed out, only to get home and look at the receipt and see I was rung up for 5 items I shouldn’t have paid for.

I'm feeling to understand how I visited one store in the plaza and face masks were required yet when I went into Safeway multiple customers no face mask and they're in the checkout line so I won't be returning to this location anytime soon

The worst curbside service ever! They were late shopping for my items. I waited 25 minutes and no one ever brought my order out and I called multiple times and no answer. I don’t recommend shopping here especially for curbside pickup.

Sara is the best part of the store. Her supervisor is a bully, she puts customer service, kindness and professionalism over everything and exercises level of care that cannot he found elsewhere. She and a couple other checkers are the only reason my family and I shop there. Corporate if want to know how how this store does with staffing, accessibility, and customer service please reach out. We’ve shopped here since original construction.

Only giving one star because I have to but absolutely terrible store. Constantly see expired food on shelves as well as cockroaches and other bugs crawling on floors. Certain front end workers are very pleasant while others are a great way to ruin your day.

Nice clean place,Just want to let the managers and Safeway know that while we were shopping homeless people came in and they grabbed things without paying. We witnessed them walking out with the items. Many employers around but they didn’t seemed aware of what was happening…

Nice clean store. Great, convenient location. Prices are high....but they are everywhere. I did self check out. The sale price on strawberries didn't show correctly, so the young man fixed it for me. Watch how things scan or you are giving your money away. That is at any store!

All of the team/staff at Safeway are very helpful, kind and pleasant. The prices are much higher now than they were 6 months ago.I did but flowers (roses) recently which lasted for a month... I highly recommend them.

Some people here are cool, others not so much. The lines are always ridiculous, never enough lanes open, and the bathrooms are questionable. They get a lot of homeless people coming in to use the bathrooms and they trash them, which is very unfortunate.

Went there because it seems that some of their cashiers are rude and disrespectful to elderly. One being my mother.She had purchased some items that were on sale per her card. And she pointed out that it was not showing when the cashier informed my mother that she knows how to do her job and that she I'll see her savings on the recipe did not have any of her savings information on the bottom. Had this cashier taken a momentWell the cashier did not verify this on her receipt because of this my mother was out almost ten dollars and had to make another trip to address it.Your cashiers are not on an hourly rate and can take the time to treat ALL customers with dignity and RESPECT this is not the first time my mother had a bad experience with this particular cashier. And now checks all lines to make sure she doesn't go to her line again.Side noteMake sure your bakery staff has access to verify prices of baked goods when there are no prices on the item or shelf

Barbara at the deli counter just served us at Vacaville outlets location. She is unbelievably hospitable, thoughtful, and sweet. In addition to making a mean vegetarian hoagie, she shared a lovely anecdote about life. We walked out of Safeway with a spring in our steps.

My husband prefers I only shop at Safeway. Good quality, store is clean and expanded self service, so I am in and out quickly. I try to use their AP before I go, so I can save more.

Clean, well-organized, good quality meats and produce. A large and continually growing selection of low carb foods, as well as a decent selection of vegan "meats" and other vegan products, and not bad for ethnic food ingredients. Late hours to accommodate people who work non-standard shifts. Good deals available on their app for shopping rewards and coupon clipping, etc.

I had a horrible bad experience today 3/12/2023 I was doing a instacart purchase, the lady name jennifer who was bagging, she was throwing bags ona very bad way. I would like to know who the general manager is and report her. Employees like jennifer has no respect to customers and should not be working in safeway. What a miserable service.

Our Safeway Store on Harbison Drive in Vacaville is FANTASTIC! Polite and helpful staff where everything always looks, clean and stocked. Great floral department, seasonal decorations, produce, bakery, dairy, deli and meat dept. Truly a wonderful store... If you can't find what you're looking for it's worth asking one of the clerks, I'll bet they can tell you where it is. 🙂

Safeway was horrible! They ruined my dad’s 70th birthday cake! I wanted cake decorated with kiwi, strawberry and peaches. Big guy said we don’t do peaches, I said ok. I wanted strawberry filling, guy said we don’t do filling. I was like okay, let me just do your way then! Obviously it’s not my first time ordering cake with this Safeway! I know, you guys do! When I was picking up, cake decorated really bad with fat strawberries and sloppy cut kiwis! I kindly asked again, it looks plain in just two kind fruits, could you add peaches? If cake is this ugly, I can make it home ok!!! Girl said we don’t do peaches! I told them I know you do. She was like oh my cake person is not here! Come on, I ordered this cake week ago! Pls don’t ruin people’s special occasion! I also asked if they can load my cake with their card, they said we don’t have cards! I saw bunch of pushable cake cards, pls stop lying! I ended up carrying half sheet cake just by myself! Thank you for kind lazy rude employees! We have 4 kids and we at least make 4 cake orders a year! Congrats lazy baker, I won’t be order again !

No! I’m done. I’m extremely done with this Safeway. Not only have we bought spoiled meat TWICE from them but my mom just bought a can of peaches and they were SPOILED! The date said 2025. I used to love Safeway but this location is horrible. I don’t trust anything I get from there anymore. Our family used to go to Safeway in Wyoming all the time. But this takes the cake. I’m not shopping there anymore if I don’t have to.

This trip we were taking a mini getaway and ended up stopping at this Safeway because of convenience. Safeway is one of the grocery chains that still make sandwiches at the deli counter and so we not only bought our dinner for the evening but were able to order a few sandwiches for our lunch. The rolls were fresh and the sandwiches tasted great. We were also able to pick up some things for a wonderful dinner namely some tender steaks and lobster tail that were on sale along with some bacon wrapped stuffed poppers for appetizers. The staff was friendly and helpful making our experience stress free.
