If you walk into this business they automatically accuse you of stealing. My bf and I walked in looking for some hinges/screws for our RV door that broke. Took us a few minutes of browsing to find the right isle, and look through the drawers to see if anything was what we needed or could use. We then heard a man on his radio talking about us and that he needed someone to come find us because he accused us of stealing. We couldn't find what we needed and immediately became infuriated and uncomfortable. We walked down the isle to leave to which a worker was walking towards us with this smug look of disgust, then proceeded to follow us, almost running into me. Didn't say a word but gave me a god awful look. I have never been to a business where browsing/looking for what you needed was automatically met with you're stealing. Not once did anyone ask if we needed assistance finding anything, or if they could help in any manner. This store and their employees are a complete joke!! Do better. Take your business elsewhere.

Prices seem a bit high and 1/2 the staff is lazy, the other half very helpful. Noticed a couple of the younger women playing on the cell phone or sitting around with a long line at the counter. Selection is pretty good here. So, 3 stars it is.

Great selection of tools, bbq, and backyard supplies. I've never seen a hardware store with a deli/bakery inside. Super awesome place for strange people like me.

It's paint time And there's no better place to get paint needs than my local Friedman's. To make your paint project easy, check out Graco paint sprayers, They have a great assortment. And they sell KILZ primer which will make your paint project look professional! Great store great service check it out

Obviously I went back and rechecked, oh man I bought Dewalt needed the blade to fit. The lady said it's on the wall, there was 45 different sizes and applications. Had to call manager for help. Quess what? No help on Dewalt blade. Had no clue. OMG!!!!!

I love hardware stores. The employees here are always helpful and friendly. The 15% off this weekend was a good time to open the wallet for a few wanted items.

We shop at the flagship store often. We have visited this location a few times. The store is always clean. Unlike the flagship, this location has never been busy when we have come. There is far less selection here than in Santa Rosa but it always seems to have what we need when we are in town.On our most recent visit, the woman who checked us out was particularly grumpy but, thankfully, that isn't normally the case.

Staff is quick to advise if what you want is in stock. Everything organized and easy to find. Getting checked out quickly is somewhat slow from lack of cashiers at times. Overall I continue to shop here.

I had a power tool that stopped working and was under manufacture warranty. They kindly exchange the product out for a new one. Great customer service with both my exchange and my paint purchase.

Sure...they have most of the things that you'll need for your home improvement chores.What stands out about this location is the customer service. The staff is always helpful! In particular, Steve is very knowledgeable and thorough. He's helped me figure out both electrical and plumbing issues and saved me many hours of watching tutorials. They also allow dogs!

Ordered pavers. Came with packing slip but no invoice. I paid by credit card. Tried multiple times to reach anyone at Friedman’s in Ukiah over the phone. Was shunted off to a recording telling me to email customer care because they could not accommodate my call at this time. I phoned well within store hours. Seems way too hard to reach a live person. Where is everyone?

I love this place. Every employee makes you feel important. And you dont have to chase anyone down like at home depot which is never a good experience. I recommend this store to anyone. Fantastic customer service and prices.

Best place for Home Improvement. The staff here are great, and plentiful. There's always somebody nearby that can answer your question or call someone who can. I always shop here first before trying Home Depot. Prices and inventory are comparable, but the service is where they beat their competitor.

I usually shop Home Depot because it's closer and I thought better, I was wrong. Great selection, easy to find things, prices are good and it's easy to find someone to help you. Prices are actually better on a few of the items I purchased.

These guys did poor job on my truck, there was oil spilled on the side of my engine which the fan spread and made the compartment quite a mess. The waiting room was messy and employee's were not concerned about people hearing their foul language. I will not return to this business,nor would I recommend anyone to take their vehicles here for a lube.

Walking into a giant home improvement/hardware store like Friedman's can be confusing. But I have never failed to find a person to help. The store has two info desks and service is almost immediate. And almost every person in the store is knowledgeable about the location of most goods, even if they work in a completely different department. I hate navigating a giant store, unable to find what I need and nary a staff person in sight. This never happens at Friedman's. Plus, they always give a 10% discount to military personnel, active or discharged. A great family oriented store.

Friedman's has a huge selection of home improvement supplies and they deliver to the Mendocino Coast. As a bonus, they have Schat's Bakery where you can sit and enjoy a muffin and an espresso drink.

90% of the positive reviews for friedmans are written by there own employees .I come from ukiah ,have an account because I'm a builder and have purchased materials there for 15 years because its the lesser of two evilsPrices are competative however the staff is much to be desired.The staff inside are ok at best but the staff in the yard are the most obnoxious ,know it all, lazy,rude individuals I've ever dealt with at a lumber yard and thats pretty bad,I've dealt with a lot of lumber yards worldwide.You are treated like your lucky to be shopping there.over the years I've been treated unprofessionally and unfairly by these people on numerous occasions to the point where I get a knot in my stomach when I want to go there for something and find myself paying higher prices at home depot just to avoid them and drama.If you complain to management about this type of behavior they will almost always side with there rude employees believing any made up B.S. they recount about the incident to save their jobs.In short,shop here if you have no other choice and rememberYOUR REALLY PRIVilEGED TO GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO SPEND YOUR CUSTOMERS AND YOUR OWN MONEY HEREMake sure you remember that and if you forget you'll be reminded,each and every time you shop.

Yesterday, May 26, we experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly at this Ukiah store. Tried to buy a Green Egg BBq which took over over 1-1/2 hours to do. Sales people in that dept tried to assist us to get us a sales order. After over 40-minutes we did get confirmation that item was in stock and with nest (stand). We paid and proceeded to pick up at storage yard. Storage personnel very helpful in trying to find item for us, again, a lengthy process. To our chagrin could not find nest but Bill was very friendly and helpful to check the box with the Green Egg. To our disappointment, and his, when new box was opened it did not have complete parts. To shorten this story, I went back in to get credit, while waiting at the counter for 15-minutes to get credit Bill followed me in and asked if we would consider the floor model. We walked over to BBq and met, Anita, a very nice and helpful person who was happy to accommodate us with the old floor model and give us a discount. Bill and Anita walked me over to counter to explain to woman manager that we have waited over 1-1/2 hrs to complete this transaction and would take the floor model if we could get a discount. Woman manager in a huff said "Absolutely Not" its still a good unit. So, with my wife and my 95-yr old mother-in-law still waiting in car, I cancelled order and left. No more purchased at Friedman store for me and I would encourage friends and family not to either. Good employee's Bill and Anita they have better people skills than current manager, please give them the job and I will return.

I purchased some gopher repellant, followed the directions and applied it. Reapplied it and reapplied it again. I had no luck with the product. Being used to Home Depot and Walmart(whose policy is customer satisfaction ) I proceeded to take the empty bottle and the receipt into the store Sunday to ask for a refund. The manager informed me Noone else had ever returned it and refused to give me a refund, nor did he offer any other compensation. Needless to say they have lost this customer. I will be going to those stores I can trust to not sell me a product that fails to perform and then tell me 'too bad '.
