Only downfall was casinos under construction and hot tubs were not available and also bowling alley and jumping arena are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so plan around that if you plan to take your children. Free shuttle to and from casino to hotel. Absolutely zero parking up front due to construction I will be back though once it's done. Only 15 mi more from Chicken ranch casino and it was well worth it this is a smoking casino though I repeat a smoking casino so get ready for that cloud of smoke as soon as you hit the door.

Restaurants were amazing, and the casino seemed clean and well maintained, but finding where you were going was a little difficult. Smoking is allowed in the casino, so if you are smoke sensitive be aware. We never did find a kiosk or signage to indicate where to purchase the cards to play with, so we just used cash on hand to play some slots. (Not big gamblers anyway) I'm sure we eventually could have found someone to ask, but more clear signs or a map in the hotel room or lobby would have been really nice. Overall, it was a nice weekend getawayRooms: Large room, a bit austere. Comfortable bedFood & drinks: Both of the restaurants we ate in were delicious, some of the best venison I have had in a while. And the breakfast portions were huge at the cafe.

We had dinner in one of the not so expensive restaurants. The waiter was very nice he asked us several times if we needed anything, and he even brought us a beer because we waited a while and no bartender.Different store out on casino floor where I could get a drink of water hell I am not a big spender but I lost $350 which went fast no payback at all the other two people I was with had zero luck as well.That was the second time that I had been there lost the first time to. I did get a players card because it was my birthday and received $5 in free play.Overall, I would score it 3,I don't think I will be going back anytime soon, plus it is a 2 plus hour drive for me.

Just commenting on the Arcade on the Family Fun Floor, not the rest of the Casino. Nearly half the games are out of order. Every time we visit there are more that are broken and never fixed. There's no point in coming here just to tell your kids the game are all out of order.

Some of the players club staff associates are rude. I have called twice just to make sure there was no mistake in my hearing. When they answer they either say HELLO!! Or they are being rude with information. Please work with your employees to provide positive feedback back when they learn how to associate with guests in person and over the phone.

As an old man get away right outside town it’s great. For families, which might be irrelevant to some but is atrocious compared to the opening. I went with family and was saddened by the arcade and bowling alley. The arcade games were all out of service or broken somehow and also, not very good. The bowling alley is dirty like you’d rather not take your shoes off in there. Casino is nothing special but good, rooms the same good enough. Don’t plan to take kids and it’ll be great, take kids and prepare to do nothing but entertain the increasingly bored kiddos

I used to love coming to this casino as a kid, in middle school throughout high school I would come almost every weekend. It has gone downhill so much in the last few years. The arcade is so expensive and over half the games are out of order. The prizes are insanely dumb these days so don’t even make it worth it. (Had wiis and cool toys when I was younger). The mill has was absolutely disgusting the last time I went and the bar is bare bones. Went to the cafe and made a reservation days in advance for my family members birthday for 20 people and got there to be told they don’t do reservations even though they had a paper with my name and time of reservation next to the register. We waited almost 2 hours for a seat with a 6 year old and 2 older people who were tired. Once we sat down our waitress brought out wrong cuts of meat and then argued when we asked about it. The manager Gayle was ridiculous and did not care about the reservation issue or the fact that we were a very large party trying to spend money there. I have now tried calling and leaving messages for upper management and still have not received a response. It has been almost a month… all I have to say is as a local and so were the other 19 people we will not be going back. I cannot believe the lack of customer service and common decency that this place has showed. I have loved this place for so long and have had so many childhood memories here and wanted to give them a change to make it right and the fact that I can’t even get a call back is so beyond rude.***UPDATE***I ended up getting in contact with another manager in the response to this review. They sincerely apologized and were embarrassed about the way everything had gone down. They are making it up to our entire party and we truly appreciate the fact that they are going above and beyond to continue to keep locals happy and make them want to come back. Definitely appreciate it and is the way I remember Black oak to be.

This review is for casino only.1-kids and family area isn’t open every day so we couldn’t play long because my kids were waiting in the car! and there was not any other area that kids be allowed to go and waiting there.2- some slots machine don’t have decrease bet button so if you accidentally increase your bet not only you can’t decrease it but also you can’t cash your money out and your only option is just to play that bet.( kind of the scamming that you can’t pull your money out before play)!3- they offer you beer but then they ask you for money! Only water and soda is free not beer!

I used to love this casino when I was younger but in the past 5 years it has gone so down hill I can’t believe this place is still open. I have 3 huge complaints with this place.1: Black oak lanes is a joke. The way they operate is very unfair. What I mean by that is they allow reservations for every single lane, that means on a Saturday night if me and my family make a quick decision to go bowling for some family fun we can’t because they are booked solid with reservations all night long. We arrived at 6:30pm and they didn’t have any open lanes until 9:30… and when they told me that, they had probably 10 lanes open. So you’re telling me that even though a reservation isn’t showing up for another hour, we can’t bowl for that hour until they arrive? That makes no sense. They should only dedicate a certain amount of lanes to reservations and have a certain amount for walk ins, it’s not fair to the family’s who make a last minute decision to go bowling and have fun only to not be able to because of so many reservations… Plus if you make a reservation for 2 hours and you don’t show up on time, let’s say for example your an hour late, you are still able to keep your reservation for the next hour. How is that fair? Some lanes are being held for multiple hours and only being used for one…. Just so ridiculously unfair.2: Black Oak Cafe is horribly managed. First off they don’t make reservations, even when they tell you they do over the phone, don’t believe them because they don’t. We called to make a reservation for 20 people, the employee said they spoke to the manager and the manager on duty said they could do that because there was so many people. When we got there no reservation was made and we ended up waiting a hour and half to eat and we still haven’t gotten a call back from customer service on the matter. They have some of the rudest employees working up front who have horrible attitudes. Every time we go there for dinner it’s a 30-45 minute wait, which doesn’t make any sense because there is always tables open. You may think “maybe there are reservations waiting, that’s why the tables are empty?” NOPE, they don’t take reservations, so why is it ALWAYS a 30-45 minute wait. Even on weekdays, 30-45 minute wait… the food is good but gosh make it easier to eat, find a new way to operate so wait times are faster. And get a new manager, Gail is very rude!3: The arcade is way to expensive, average game costs about $1.50, plus 80% of the games are out of order… The prizes suck, the employees are rude. Just horribly operated!This casino better get better because as soon as Chicken Ranch is open I will be giving them all of my money. Black oak is a joke! I could give 0 stars if I could!

A friend of mine was staying at the hotel while she was preparing for her wedding. From what I saw of the hotel, it was very nice. I enjoyed the scenery as well as the ambiance of the hotel. I did not go into the casino or eat the food.

When I made this reservation, I was not told that there was work being done and the parking was interrupted by construction.Had to walk a distance to the reception area. Then we had to walk to get to the casino. Was sitting very comfortably watching the playoff game. Then a band set up and OFF went the tv with a couple plays left in the game. SO RUDE!!!On the way back it was pouring rain!Not a good first impression at all. Very disappointed.

Great venue for a good time. Lower level has a fun arcade and bowling area for the kids. Clean restrooms. There is plenty to do for the family, downstairs and upstairs. Beautiful scenery. Good vibes all around. Hotel and gas station right next to you.Nearby activities: There are plenty of fun things for everyone. Casino for adults. Arcade and bowling for children.Walkability: Everything is very close together.Food & drinks: Tons of food options and drinks.

Black Oak Casino is a nice place to play when you're looking for a good variety of choices. They have card tables, slots, and keno. You can choose from two areas smoking or non-smoking. Every month they have several different promotions going on. You can enjoy a snack or sit down meal. Plus, they have a bar that serves soda and alcoholic beverages.

Dropped by for lunch of fish and chips on Tuesday. $20 DEAL! Took half home. Waitstaff are down home friendly. My freshly cooked meal took time. The cafe had been closed for months so go search through the casino for the sports pub. It was downstairs where everything was closed up since it wasn't prime hours.Safety: Parked relatively close. Nice and open lot, with green foothill trees around.

I was very disappointed with my experience there we went on Christmas day they were very understaffed the staff that was there weren't very pleasant. I must say customer service was not a priority my wife and I waited to get a seat to eat the told us a hour for us to eat so we were ok with tha we wanted to gamble for a while . We waited for a hour and a half for the to call us for a table but nothing so we went up to the host who was very rude and told your going to have ro wait longer . So we left and went to jack in the box and headed home not a good night

My husband and I were among about 60 FMCA members of The Freedom Rollers Chapter who attended a wonderful summer-like rally in October at the Black Oak Casino Resort RV Park. It's a beautiful setting with a first rate clubhouse. Even though every space at the RV Park was full campers adhered to the rules and it was very quiet in the evenings! There's also a beautiful lake, a large well-kept swimming pool, and just a short walk to the casino and to the store. There's good food at the casino and a busy bowling alley, too! We enjoyed both. We will be returning for more rest, relaxation and fun!
