The little red house with the grassy backyard was charming, spotless and perfect for us and our dog. We stayed there to visit the Redwood National Park but were pleasantly surprise to find a most romantic beach and restaurant just minutes away. We highly recommend this house for a couple with a small dog.

The house and view was spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Listening to the waves and harbor seals was very soothing. Local Redwoods and attractions kept us busy. The houses decor was nautical and made my wife and I reminisce about our Naval Service. Everything was perfect and added to our celebration of our 31 st wedding anniversary.

Our stay in Trinidad was amazing! The home we rented was beautiful with all the amenities. The deck was gorgeous with views of the Pacific. Loved waking up to that view. Also was well located to several national parks where we saw the amazing Redwoods! Highly recommend!

Renting through Trinidad retreats was great!! The service is unparalleled, truly. They are efficient, kind and it is obvious they really care about your vacation experience. The house could not have been better. It was extremely clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. It was better than advertised and was a great deal for the price. Next time I’m in Humboldt county I will definitely go straight to Trinidad retreats when looking for a house rental.

It's a beautiful, comfortable, scenic home. We were there for our anniversary. We love the redwoods & took a beautiful drive one day. There are some good restaurants close by or there is a nice kitchen. The only disappointment was a late check in & early check out. The place was clean & nice.

The most wonderful and charming little cottage! I will stay again. Beautiful property close to all the beaches I wanted to visit and close to the Redwood forests to the north and south. The town is beautiful and full of friendly people. I could not recommend this place enough.

Such a great place to stay right in the middle of all the different Redwood Parks. We planned trips each day to visit the different parks and hikes, while also leaving a few days to stay close and visit Arcata Redwood Forest trails, that are literally a block away. We had fun finding banana slugs and just absolutely in awe of the majestic beauty of God’s creation! This home feels like you’re staying right in the redwoods! We enjoyed the classic homey space in the rental, perfect for 3 couples with 3 bedrooms/3 bathrooms. Plenty of games and books for downtime, or just relaxing on one of the 2 lovely patios. Very comfortable!

The pros: This clean cottage is tucked behind a living fence of flowering goodness, with comfy beds, welcoming kitchen to cook in, a cozy family room area and located very close to everything we came to see. The cons: A bit of a moldy smell upon entering, ancient electrical outlets not up to safety code in kitchen (GFCI outlets are supposed to be in both kitchen and bathrooms), one roll of TP for 3 night visit (found that out at early our last morning there & was brought extra TP shortly after calling), was not clear at all that someone lived in an attached unit (not a problem, but would have liked to have known instead of being surprised), outdoor chairs were filthy, lots of freeway noise if trying to relax on the back porch, and that TV is impossible to figure out (binder is unhelpful to assess how to simply watch anything) so we watched videos on my phone. Lastly, please update the shower head from that prehistoric thing; a hand shower on a slide bar makes more sense here and is a very easy & cost effective upgrade!! We hoped for a bit more attention to detail given what we paid.

The cottage is clean and comfortable. One of the better restaurants in Trinidad is across the street. Be aware there is no stove or laundry room. Laundry would have been nice after spending a day on the beach. Neighborhood is quiet easy to maintain your privacy

Our stay with Trinidad Retreats was fabulous. Our house was amazingly clean, comfortable and everything we had hoped it would be...a truly relaxing experience. The only caveat that I would say, and this is why we are only giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the water supply for the cabin was not what we were expecting.I guess its fairly common for cabins to have "organic matter" in their water supply when it comes from a fresh spring...only its a little hard to spend a week washing in tea colored water. We were not informed of this ahead of our stay, but rather found out when we thought someone had not flushed the toilet when we arrived, only to look up and see a placard that explained the phenomena. Okay, so fine, makes sense...We then saw in the kitchen that the water from the tap was filtered and not to worry, it was drinkable. Okay great, but after a week of washing with this water, my skin felt weird and we just kept getting a little more freaked out, as to wondering if in fact it was safe...so we looked it up online, and yes, it is...but that didn't help my skin and hair after a week...This is not something that got me on the phone with the lovely people at Trinidad Retreats, but it was something that made me wonder why they didn't disclose this before hand...or why not purchase a filter for the whole house?Regardless, we have a lovely time, but we were glad to get back to non organic matter water!

Loved this place. Easy to get to from the highway and close-by to the beach or just about anything you may want to do while you're out here. We enjoyed a lovely day on the beach after a quick 2 min drive down and ended up outside with the dog. Went to a Redwood park that was nearby and enjoyed a great hike. This was an absolutely fabulous stay. Cozy little red house that was nice and quiet during our stay. Thanks to the owners for providing us a lovely little home to stay in. The dog loved the backyard and couldn't get enough of the outside during our stay. Thanks again!

This studio is exactly what you see in the pictures. Storage was a bit of issue. My wife took the shelves, and I slid my opened suitcase under the bed to use as a big under-bed drawer. The closet is spacious, but only had four hangers. Everything appears to be brand new and there's enough kitchen utensils that we made breakfast on all but one morning. The location is the best thing about this property. A breakfast/brunch restaurant popular with locals is just around the corner. Other great restaurants are minutes away by foot. Even a local baseball stadium is within walking distance and worth attending if it's baseball season. The only problem we had was a tree over the driveway that shed sticky sap and leaves. The leaves stuck to our shoes and had to be scraped off with a knife when we got home. We tried to sweep off the entry, but the leaves stuck to the ground -- until we walked on them. Thankfully, we had a rent car and didn't have to clean the sap off the outside and the leaves off the carpet. This could be seasonal problem, so it might not be so bad when the tree isn't shedding.

I had a great experience with Trinidad Retreats. The place I stayed in Arcata, CA was gorgeous, even though it was small. It was perfect for 1-2 people. It was modern, tastefully decorated, extremely clean, had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The team answered my questions promptly. I would happily work with Trinidad Retreats again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Trinidad retreats. The home was beautiful and just as it was shown in the pictures. We had a small issue with the TV, we call and talked to our contact and it was resolved in 15 minutes.When you are coming Trinidad this is the place to stay.

This was a lovely place to stay, a magnificent home base for visiting the Redwoods. We especially enjoyed the outdoor space which included plenty of seating, a firepit and two patio heaters. The total privacy was a bonus. We highly recommend this beautiful rental, and we will return one day.

Trinidad Retreats was easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions or needs we had before and during our stay. The property we stayed at in Trinidad (Ravens Ridge) was phenomenal. We loved the eclectic style of the home and property and the special touches were perfect for our stay in the Redwoods. Would stay again!

Stayed at Parker Creek Cabin for a week with my dog, a great base for exploring the coast and redwoods. Positive experience with Trinidad Retreats, especially Camille in reservations.Fenced yard is steep, grass is slippery when damp due to frequent fog. Quiet neighborhood, noise from nearby 101 freeway noticeable but not bothersome. House has quirks, but some good upgrades. Doors and windows new and worked well, so good insulation. Heat and water pressure fine, grill worked well. Dining room table in pictures replaced with a table and chairs, much more comfortable. Lack of light near dining table as others mentioned. Vintage oven and stove worked fine, fridge is newer. Limited counter and cupboard space. Housekeeping good and didn't smell musty to me.Issues: non-swiveling kitchen faucet, non-rotating blinds, no oven light, stained pots and pans, a loose towel rack, a bed that needs replacing (other bed was new/firm), and a worn-out leather couch. Only one plastic chair, besides the picnic table, so no comfortable seating on the porch.Setup of the toilet an issue for those with broad shoulders or a waist over 40in. Paper roll digs into leg and the heater is close. Someone arrives unannounced to pick up trash (Mon & Fri in summer), landscaping folks for a couple of hours on Thurs. Overall privacy limited by neighboring houses.House is mostly comfortable, and service from Trinidad Retreats excellent. Might not return to this home, but would definitely rent from them again.

The cottage was the perfect get-away location, with breathtaking views, gorgeous landscaping, and dreamy decks. The soaking tub at sunset with a glass of wine was a real treat! The inside was cozy, quiet, and very comfortable for the two of us. We enjoyed exploring the nearby beaches, and picturesque town of Trinidad. All-in-all, a great long weekend!

Sunset Knolls is beautiful at sunrise as well as the house is so near to the beach you can hear the surf. It breathlessly overlooks Trinidad Bay & the whole coastline. Yet it is secluded, private , and safe for your whole family to enjoy from a large deck & large backyard.The house is older so keeps the rental charge reasonable but well maintained, clean , comfortable, safe, & spacious. It has everything & everything works. The host manager Hope M. is one of the few people who actually answers the telephone She was friendly, helpful, & professionalThe location is close to everything restaurants, national parks, redwood forest, & beaches. Of note conveniently nearby Murphys Market. It has everything including fishing license if you want to brave ocean fishing Ask for Master fisherman Mark who is the best fishing guide on the California coast !This was a wonderful & safe vacation for my family including our dog which was very much appreciated as he is family too We look forward to returning to Sunset Knoll & thank the property owner & Trinidad Retreats

The property was fantastic. Very clean and stocked with anything we needed including ample cooking items, cleaning materials, and games/books. The location was also perfect. Very close to the beach as well as into Trinidad for restaurants and shops. Everything about the rental process and the trip was perfect. We look forward to staying there again next year!

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at the Crabbers Cottage. Spacious and clean and everything we needed. Bed was very comfortable and everything seemed new. Perfect location for by visiting our son in Arcata - only 15 minutes away. We loved the nearby restaurant/bakery across the street and walking to the bluff and ocean that is very close. Trinidad is the perfect spot to visit beaches and the redwood forest. It’s a quaint little town that is quiet and not too touristy.

This was an excellent family getaway back to where I grew up! The cottage we rented was perfect! Clean, charming, well kept, and taken care of, with all of the necessary amenities and comforts! The area was quiet and close to Highway 101, Arcata, and other access routes in and out of the area! We were well taken care of by Trinidad Retreats and very happy with their service! I would definitely recommend this location to others, and should we find ourselves back in the area, we will definitely be staying here again!

What a wonderful location and great experience. The house was extremely clean and you could tell well managed locally. We have had several recent vacations managed by rental companies and it was very poor, but Trinidad Retreats go above and beyond. They provide every recommendation possible, the home was well maintained and clean and the listing very accurate. We would love to stay with their properties again.

This was such a cozy relaxing place to stay. I love the Murphy bed And the fireplace And the ambience. It was just the place I needed to rest needed to rest and recharge my batteries for life. It had a great tea kettle and all the tea that I could possibly want. The counters in the kitchen are amazing and the shower was fabulous. I am so going back there someday.

An amazing location. It feels like your are in the Redwood Forest itself. The house is really gorgeous and set up for a small or large group stay. The fishing village of Trinidad is beautiful and charming, and the spot is close to most of the national parks.
