Called 5 days before our reservation and were told we could reschedule our reservation for another weekend due to unexpected rain and not lose our deposit. When we called back with our next available dates we were told a different story that a manager was going to have to be asked. We received a voicemail later stating we were welcome to still come up and enjoy our reservation however they will not be honoring what they originally told us about rescheduling our dates. Poor communication on this parks end, dont tell customers something that your not going to honor, were now out $180 after booking your nicest camp site and dont even get to enjoy the campground because we were under the impression we could reschedule due to you telling us we could. Poor communication, fast / loose / shady customer service. Our friends and I will not be making reservations to camp with you ever again.

The front desk had closed early (we got there at 4:30 sign reads Closed 5 p.m.) when we arrived. Our registration envelopes were conveniently hanging out front amongst other expected guests. The posted instructions to go to the front office to complete the registration the next morning. Front desk was helpful and friendly. However, walking back to our campsite (compared to many other rv stays we experienced), we found that the guys driving around the small electric "golf" carts aren't too friendly. I guess we are used to having staff zipping by and always either smiling or waving; not here. It would have added a welcoming touch which this location neglected. I also noticed none of the newly vacated sites were ever groomed by staff. I usually been to other campgrounds were maintenance would come by, check/switch off the power, rake or sweep up the vacated site, basically tidy up; not here. The pull thru sites are very close to one another. The hookups are located almost in the middle of your rv site; meaning you may find yourself directly in front the your neighbor's sewer/dump connection. We like to hang out/cook right outside our rv. Given the narrow rv site, the ridiculous view/sometimes smell of the sewer would occasionally put a damper on our spot. It basically felt like we were going to eat/or hang out with an open toilet in front of you. Lots of very fine dirt so be prepared; at times if felt like camping in a dust bowl. Everytime a vehicle drove by, a cloud of fine dirt kicked up; not too good when youre eating or relaxing. I recommend reserving your rv site along the river. Those sites seemed to have more room and definitely a better view of the river. If you are planning to arrive at after sunset, it is absolutely dark. Great if you are already settled in. However, after dark, site numbers are too small and hard to spot. One side of the campground (office side), there are two port a pottys. It was a Monday morning, I decided to make use of them. There was hardly any chemical liquids in either one. Both had poop pyramids stacked almost toilet lid level. It was "clean" equipment but the waste was ridiculously disgusting. There are two, single person shower-only facilities nearby with an outdoor sink for washing dishes as I seen tent campers doing earlier. The opposite side of the campground (near the river) has fully functioning toilets. The campground's location is very good. Although the main gate is near by, the trek up the mountain from the main gate to the Giant Forest Museum was about 40 minutes. The trip to Visalia is in the opposite direction and could be from 40 to 50 minutes away. That town has all the comforts that you will need. Good place to visit. Cell phone service is very weak at the campground. The campground's Wi-Fi showed as excellent yet it was too weak to stream movies. I had better service here if I disconnected from the wifi and relied on my spotty network. The river was very nice. I saw kids playing in the water. Lots of small business/restaurants near by. This place was okay for our immediate needs but I can't say we will come back.Footnote: One of groundskeepers came up to us and asked us if we had e-bicycles? He continued to say that for the past year, someone is coming to the campground and stealing them for the past year. We don't have bikes of any kind, so beware. One pic depicts neighbor's sewer hookup setup directly in front of our door/awning area. It's closer than it looks.

We arrived on Memorial Day when the park emptied out. We had an electrical problem. I caught staff driving by on their golf cart and he helped us! Excellent customer service! Thank you Tim! The river was ripping which made it awesome to listen to but terrible for the kids since they couldn’t play in the water. The creek in the front had water though so they spent some time catching minnows. We didn’t use the bathrooms or showers so can’t rate those. Laundry was $1.50 wash $1.00 to dry but it’s a walk! Excellent location to Sequoia. If we’re ever back I’m definitely staying here again!!

Cute little park with a good location about 20 minutes from the entrance of Sequoia. The river behind our spot was very pretty. The park doesn’t really look maintained and our spot was sandy dirt so it was a bit messy. Had a mix of good and bad experiences with the staff over the phone before our trip and while we were there.

Stayed here a couple nights and the scenery and location is very nice. Everything is definitely in driving distance. We had an rv that would not go up the mountain. Luckily express rental in Visalia came and picked us up in a little rental car so we could visit the area. (Very nice of them). The owner of the rv ranch was very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend.Walkability: Will need to drive for anything but not far at all. A little off the path which is nice and the point of camping.

Staff were great, went in winter so not crowded at all. Easy location into sequoia. Will definitely be coming back

Not bad for the price. We went in late November. This place *could be really really good. Main gripe was the spots are really close together. On our last day there were a few campers that were playing their music extremely loud. I shouldn’t hear your music from 6 spots away. This is no fault of the resort. We did witness staff go by and make one party’s lower their music. So that was good. There was a bear go through camp just about every night and throw trash all over the ground. Why not have bear proof dumpsters? Staff was very quick to clean up the mess. There is a mobile home park on site and a camper storage, which makes the place look junky, sorry to say. It is very close to the national park so that was great. Not sure if we will be back. The more you camp in RV resorts the more you want to just boon dock because of the fellow campers with zero camp etiquette.

I don’t like giving low reviews but….We would only rate this park a 2. It was OK. The best part was the easy access to Sequoia national park. Unfortunately most of the park was closed. We arrived after hours, they did leave our space #47 on the board. There were no signs indicating the numbers of the sites, and when we did find the numbers, they were so small, it was hard to see them. The site was big, but it was in a dust bowl area. Our site had very little gravel, mostly very fine dust. It covered everything. And because of cars driving through the park the dust made it uncomfortable to sit outside. This park has so much potential, but we felt like it needs maintenance and updating.

We have stayed here several times. It is always quiet and clean with friendly staff and guests. The dog park has plenty of shade, grass and water and people are very good about cleaning up after their pets. We had a spot right on the river, which right now is a small creek, but it was still beautiful. We saw about 6 or 7 deer in a small group and wild turkeys.

We have been going here for a few years now and we like it. I don’t know too much about the amenities because we usually stick with our group and the campsite and don’t use of them, however it is right on the river and there is a swimming hole a short walk away that has clean, clear and cold water. The do get the occasional bear rummaging through the trash bin and coyotes are near but nothing bad has happened. Overall, highly recommend.

Amazing camping spot for rv and camper vans! Mikey was an absolute gem, we showed up past the time the welcome center was open. We were a little confused trying to find our spot. Mikey was more than accommodating, showed us to our spot. He then gave us some local knowledge where to eat shop and what to see. He made our stay great, give that man a raise!

We had a back in spot right on the river and it was perfect. Campground was large enough you aren’t on top of each other but also there aren’t endless rows of rigs. Only downside of this campground is a small old people trailer park right at the end. All in all it’s worth a stay

Full Disclosure: We did not use the showers or the bathrooms. This was our first camping experience. We're empty nesters with a 22' travel trailer and we opted for a riverfront site with full hookups. We also brought our two boxers with us.We had an excellent experience and loved it so much we can't wait to go back. We stayed two nights and found the place to be clean, the staff and other campers very friendly. We absolutely loved the dog park!! The trails were wonderful, including the trail along the river. I love the citrus trees planted in and among the campground. The fire rings were well done, each offering different and unique features. The picnic table and horseshoe pits were great, as were the benches conveniently located around the property. The first night we had a very large family with many kids running through our site and loud music. They did quiet down before the posted curfew time. The second night was peaceful and beautiful! :)

Friendly staff! Thank you for letting us check out early, we appreciate this!! However,, sites are over priced and they have coin operated showers. The bathrooms and laundry rooms need to be updated and cleaned Campground is also a mobile home park. Which is not pleasant to look at. Also no sewer hook ups if you need to dump they will have someone come out for &10 or you can drive to the dump station on site. Probably not going to come back.

Nice and quiet place. People were so friendly. There was a fat black bear around while we were there. Didn't bother us.

It looked like a place people liked. It has a great rating so i am hesitant to post my review. I assume people enjoyed it, but that wasn’t our experience. It looked to me like they didn’t even care what condition this place was in. We were very disappointed and glad when our stay was over. The place was dirty. The employees were hard to find after 4 pm which is probably when most customers arrive. The little pond was cute. The redeeming value of the place.See the photos and judge for yourself.

It was good and bad similar to other reviews. My family of 5 visited for two days in early June 2021 to see the big sequoia trees which were totally worth the trip. However, we were tent camping and the closest bathrooms were a few of the nastiest portable toilets we’ve ever seen. It’s even possible that we got scabies from them. We just don’t have any other explanation but how do you prove something like that. I agree with other reviewers that the owners could do a much better job of cleaning the place up by getting rid of junk campers parked in one area and piles of brush and other debris. That being said, the swimming hole was the best part. There are fish and tadpoles and the water is clear and refreshing. The views aren’t too bad either. It was a little annoying that folks keep their lanterns on at night though when you’re trying to look at the stars. I can imagine the bathroom situation improves dramatically if you actually have an RV but I can see others points about signage and space being an issue. Also, the coyotes are very LOUD at 1am and the whine and scream at each other for about 30 minutes. Fair warning.Overall for the price it was probably worth it but for tent camping you might be better off somewhere else.

I have stayed here twice, once in my dads trailer and once tent camping. It is a great place for both. The prices for tent camping are affordable, the atmosphere is great and they have a very accommodating staff who work with you regardless of what time you show up. Also love that you can reserve spots online. I recommend this spot. If you live nearby and want a little getaway this definitely does the trick or if you want to go to Sequoia and everything is full or you dont want to pay to stay in the park this is definitely a great choice. I would return.

Very disappointed with our stay! After booking, my husband was told that spot #5 was much better than the one he picked along the river so he agreed to change per the staff recommendation. Spot #5 has views of a storage facility and permanent mobile home park. There was no staff on site when we arrived Thursday afternoon. We had to drive back to town for quarters and firewood, which we thought we could get from the office. Bathroom facilities consisted of portable outhouses and the bathhouses were full of spider webs and there was no hot water for the coin operated showers. There was also no hot water at the dish cleaning station. WiFi was spotty at best! It was also unnerving that the trash receptacles were not bear proof. On our last morning, trash was scattered all around the area and 3 large mounds of animal feces were within feet of the dumpsters. Other than the grounds’ close proximity to the Sequoia National Park entrance, this facility provided little convenience or comfort. I don’t recommend this site or stay here again.

Loved this place. The river sounds so good at night, the breeze near the water is so fresh. We went a little early 5/31-6/2/19 so the water was freezing. Can't wait to come back. If you have a First Responder in your family it's $12 Off. We had space 30 facing the river, it was a great passage way to the river. Full hook ups! We had our RV rental delivered here from outdoorsy.com for under $400 for 3 nights.

Nice RV park close to restaurants. I camped in my tent here. Showers are nice. However they don’t have real toilets and portapoties were in need of emptying and not a pleasant experience having to use them at all! But location was good and it’s a calm and quiet park.

I was very upset! My camp sites did not have trees. I stayed in dry land campsites T4 and T5. I stayed there 3 days in the summer with 100 degree whether. I asked the staff if I could move to another camp site that had a tree and they did not make an effort to help us out. During the day I was not able to cook in the scorching heat. Why would they not warn me my campsite did not have shade from a tree?! All of the other campsites had trees except for ours. 😡They have bathrooms with flushing toilets but they are far from the dry camp lands. They also have portapotties, when we arrived on Friday they were clean and nice but by Sunday they were already full and gross.

Enjoyed camping on the river. Very friendly staff and quiet campground. The only thing that was a negative is that bathrooms and laundry was over in the permanent site area and you felt like you were intruding on them. Great location for Sequoia National Park.
