I would like to share with you our experience with this property. We booked and then canceled for different reasons, although the refund deadline had expired, the structure still credited the cost of the booking. This deserves a 5-star review, I'm sure that even if I haven't been there the facility deserves the same stars because if the owners are like this I don't see how the place could be any less. Highly recommended.

What a lovely place close to Sequoia National Park.We stayed in a cozy little lodge room with easy access to the garden and the river. Our boys loved the place. We had booked 2 nights but chose to stay an extra night. By the way, the employees were really nice and very helpful. The warmest recommendations from us.

My son and I just got home from our Sequoia Park vacation, and one of the highlights of our trip was our stay at the Buckeye Tree Lodge. Even though I have stayed at amazing hotels around the country and the world, Buckeye Tree Lodge is easily one of my favorite places I've ever stayed. Honestly. The rooms aren't fancy, but they are clean and comfortable and cosy. The customer service is top notch, and the people that work there clearly care about the property and their guests. I think that is one of the reasons our stay was so memorable. At night, we loved borrowing DVD's to watch and board games to play from the office. We even did a sound healing session at the yoga studio across the street one evening. But the best part of the lodge is its location. It is right on the Keweah River, and the property is breathtaking. My son and I spent a lot of time down by the river climbing on rocks and playing by the water. We also had a ton of fun on the rope swing. The entire experience felt like you were stepping into another slower and more peaceful world. I really hope to get to stay there again someday.Nearby activities: Sound bath healing at the yoga studio across the street.Great breakfast at the Gateway Restaurant next door.

This place is simply wonderful. The location is fantastic, the service is superb, and the rooms and cabins are cute and cozy. Stayed here for the second time, a year after the first. We were in the Hummingbird cabin this time, which is a perfect cabin for two. Both times I stayed I was able to request plates and utensils so that we could heat up food we brought in the in-room microwave. They also have charcoal available for grilling outside. The staff are more than happy to make sure you have what you need. And on top of all this, the location is probably the best in the area. If you want to visit Sequoia, it's right there. Want to spend an afternoon resting and relaxing? The river is right there and they have chairs and tables set up right at the river. Three Rivers has some great shops and restaurants to visit and the Lodge isn't far from them either.A truly great place to stay to experience this part of the world.Rooms: The rooms and cabins are as advertised. The microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker are so nice to have. It is easy to keep the temperature comfortable. The WiFi and TV work great.Nearby activities: The most obvious is Sequoia National Park, but there are other things to do as well. Check out their website, they do a great job summarizing and recommending activities in the area.Walkability: Apart from a restaurant right next to the lodge, you'll need a car to access anything else. Three Rivers is sort of spread along a long winding road through the river valley.

Unfortunately, they did not honor my room resvervation. They did not apologize and tried to offer a measly discount for the mistake. I called ahead of the trip to correct the mistake, and was told there was not any King rooms left. I questioned why our room was given to somebody else, and if there was anything they could do to move us into the room I booked, but the attendant simply stated that my room was not given to somebody else. I settled for a 20% discount.I mentioned in my booking notes that I was planning a special birthday trip. When the lodge called to confirm my reservation, they not only gave me the lesser room, they also made no note of my request.

Exceeded our expectations. The rooms are quaint and perfect for our little family. We stayed in Cabin #9 -2 adults and 1 teen. The pool was perfect after a hot day exploring Sequoia. Just a few minutes from Sequoia NP entrance. Fully equipped kitchen for cooking quick meals. We didn't use AC but opened the windows, and the sound of the river next to our cabin was perfection.Bonus: As a coffee lover, I especially liked the fresh beans and grinder we had access to every morning. ☕️

Stayed two nights.Amazing location just right outside the entrance of Sequoia Park and next to the main road. Our lodge was very cosy with a nice bathroom and very well equipped kitchen - coffee beans and grinder provided.Staff was nice and as we were late left our key outside the office. We tried the restaurant next door, quite expensive but it reflects the prices we ve seen around the National Parks.

This place definitely exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean and hygienic. The wifi was good as there is no network in this area.Located in the midst of the forest, this place offers a spectacular view of the river. In the backyard there is a small path that takes you straight to the river. We found this place extremely peaceful and a perfect gateway for a vacation. The drive to the Giant forest museum takes about 50 mins and there is restaurant nearby which makes this lodge a suitable place to stay when visiting the sequoia national park.

Exceeded our expectations. We stayed in Aspen which was just lovely. This cabin is shared with Alta but there wasn't anyone in there for the night we stayed. So it's also a shared deck but we had it to ourselves. Had a lovely feel to it. Comfy bed. Easy check in - they leave the key and instructions on the board out front but the office is open and staffed if you need to chat to them.Location was excellent. We had a cabin with a deck so was great to sit out with a drink and listen to the riverFood & drinks: We went to the restaurant and bar over the road. Really friendly owner and great drinks and there was live music. Had a great night

The location and view is amazing! It's so peaceful sitting by the river amongst the large boulders. Room 7 could use some sort of container in the shower to hold shower items. In-room coffee grinder is an excellent touch! We visited one of the pools to cool off and thoroughly enjoyed it! We saw a bobcat and hummingbirds while sitting by the river. There's a wonderful restaurant next door called The Gateway. I would highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful place and very friendly owner and staff at front desk. We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Location was perfect, right by entrance to the park. Rained 1 day and they had movies and games for us to borrow. My boy fished in the river and the family enjoyed the pool. A+ in my opinion. Our room was clean and had everything we needed!

Awesome cabins for a reasonable price. I advice to rent them through their website for cheaper prices instead of Booking, etc.We stayed in the Aspen CabinClean rooms, nice people and the location was excellent. One mile away from Seqouia National Park entrance. Next to the door there is a restaurant for breakfast and diner

The room we stay in has a small patio and the view of it is absolutely gorgeous! With the price and the closeness to the park, nothing to complain about! The only bad thing is that the water flow of the shower is quite small so if you have long hair, it would be a hard time washing your hair. But overall the experience is great! Would recommend if you don’t wanna spend too much money on housing but want to live closer to the park!

We stayed in the Buckeye lodge in August 2022. The receptionist was very friendly and we felt at home immediately, she didn't need to see all our documents, but did give us some nice tips Room was nice and clean with a nice balcony and sight on the beautiful river. Had a great diner in the restaurant next door, but what was the nicest was that i lost my wristwatch and they immediately contacted me and took care that it was sent to my next hotel on our road trip. So very honest people and great service. I can definately recommend this hotel / Lodge !

We really enjoyed this place. It is located within seconds, literally, of the entrance to Sequoia NP. Plus it has a vibe that fit us well, and a lot of nice little touches. We stayed in a cabin. Technically, the cabin we stayed in is the downstairs of a two story building. But on the inside it is what you'd expect of a cabin in terms of wood finish, decorations and the feel. (the kids wanted a cabin and they agreed it was great). With the pandemic, they don't provide daily housekeeping in the cabin. They have an easy check in, check out system. For specific details, inquire with the lodge. We used many features of the cabin: both pools, ice machine, the grill/BBQ (complete with outdoor sink), the coffee bean grinder and coffee beans, and we cooked all our meals here on the gas range and used the full sized refrigerator. The place settings and utensils are good. They provide salt and pepper... Bring your own spices. We ate outside on our picnic table most meals. This visit was a pleasure. Enjoy!

The Buckeye Tree Lodge's cabins and rooms are rustic, a bit modern, and cozy. The rooms have beautiful views of the river. The Kaweah river runs along the back of the Buckeye Tree Lodge and is beautiful. The views and the sounds of the water from the river crashing against the river rocks is therapeutic. I highly recommend staying at the Buckeye Tree Lodge and getting to know the Kaweah river and the Sequoia National Park.

It’s a good place to stay, the location is really beautiful and like others have said it’s really close to the park! They are right at the edge of the river so you see and hear water from some of the rooms. It’s peaceful and there is a fuller restaurant on site which is pretty convenient. You can dine there with a view of the river! Other things about the cabin were great, like they were plenty of towels and the kitchen came fully equipped. We stayed in the River House which is their largest cabin. I stayed in the room in the back of the house which has one queen and accommodates two people. So I’m speaking from my experience sleeping in that room. The mattress was very uncomfortable and I felt like an air mattress. That room has a door to the street and a door that connects it with the house. The door that connects it with the house is not a full door. It was missing a glass panel it seemed, and it had a piece of cloth neatly arranged covering it instead. This room is very close to the kitchen and one of the two bathrooms meaning you can hear everything that happens outside of your room in the kitchen and bathroom with almost no buffer. This room also has a sky light in the ceiling directly above the bed. It cannot be covered and the unfortunate location of it meant it was super super bright in our room super early in the morning. Honestly the combo of these two things made it impossible to get a good night sleep.

Had a great two night stay here in mid May 2022. Very clean and comfortable room (9) on the ground floor with just a few steps up from the car park to the room. Very good communication with the team at the lodge, and concise instructions on collecting room key whilst front office was unmanned. Within minutes of the entrance station to the park and very happily stay at Buckeye Tree Lodge when next visiting.

We stayed for 4 nights and this lodge was highly recommended by several people. It was only 1 mile from the entrance to Sequoia National Park which is convenient. There is a restaurant next door which we went to twice. It’a over 5 miles from town so having the restaurant and mini fridge & microwave in the room were helpful. They have a charcoal bbq that we can use and wish that it was gas bbq. It was over 100 degrees when we were there and it was not ideal to be outside bbqing. The pool was nice and refreshing. The lodge was located near a river and had a nice view. The hostess was nice. I mentioned over the phone that it was my husband’s birthday on Labor Day, which was the day that we arrived. There was a welcome basket with goodies and muffins with a birthday card. It was very thoughtful.

This place is a hidden gem! Just a couple of miles from the park entrance. The staff were great and friendly. The backyard view of the rocks/river was perfect . Very tranquil! A great way to unwind from the busy city life and embracing nature. They even wrote a happy birthday note and thanking us for staying with them. My husband and I intend to stay here in the near future!

Great access to Sequoia Park entrance. Stayed in the Eagle cabin. The Cabin was quiet, with little road noise at night. Lots of room for a couple. Basic kitchen (compact electric range microwave, refrigerator/freezer), some pots, pans, utensils, glasses + plates -three of each. Bring any spices, oils, condiments etc, that you would need for cooking(salt+pepper are there).Wifi was great, as there is no cell service in the area for Verizon, or T-Mobile. The Staff are very friendly and helpful. The Cabin has an outdoor patio with grill, table, umbrella and chairs.
