Brought my cat in to get nurtured. As soon as I get him home and out of his crate there’s a pool of blood on my floor from his incision. I was already on edge about bringing my animals here. I’ve heard a lot of negative things about dr Ross. Definitely won’t be coming back:) I will give it to em, brought him back not even 10 minutes later and they’re checking him out and making sure his incision is closed.

Absolutely dislike Dr. Ross he is always such a rude person in my opinion he does not really like animals maybe he needs to retire and get a hobby. These are just my personal opinions I am pretty sure there are plenty of people that have positive opinions of him and everyone is allowed their own opinion

The vet diagnosed three of our dogs with different diseases one he said had staff infection the other he said had a yeast infection and after six hundred dollars we had told him we thought it was ringworm and he finally agreed and then charged me $20 for me to get my subscription from chewy what a rip off

They are the best veterinarian clinic. I live in Lamont so I go to the veterinarians in Bakersfield Taft is by far the best veterinarian and I have been to several in Bakersfield. Bakersfield veterinarians are not even close to Taft veterinarians never had such a great experience.

I moved to the area not long ago and was in search of a new veterinarian.I called Taft Vet. and asked about a certain medication my cat requires. The girl who answered was very rude. Sheesh, sorry I called. I'll drive to Bakersfield, thank you very much.

He did an amazing job at amputating my cats tail due to a cyst that killed her tail. The healing process was really fast and he was super helpful during the healing process if I had any questions or concerns.

Worst Vet ever!He missed diagnosed my dog with heart problems gave me medication for her and gave her regular check ups for about a year and a half.When my other dog died ,after he did surgery on her , i took her to Stockdale Veterinary for a second opinion , THEY FOUND NO HEART PROBLEMS AT ALL !!! Both veterinarians checked her, just to make sure.I even had a third vet check, when she recently got an ear infection.I paid for a year and a half's worth of medicine every month plus check up that she didn't need !

Brought my animals in based on ratings and the fact it's the only office nearby. Was skeptical since one of my cats is absolutely terrified of vets and has had to be sedated, but decided to see how it went and go from there. Their first visit was a minor disaster, but they managed to vaccinate both cats. First off, they only have one scale- a big scale- and you have to put the cats on outside of a room and out of their carriers. This started our disastrous visit, as my more anxious cat immediately made a run for it, into the thankfully empty dog area. After a bit of bloodshed on my part, we managed to corral her. Shots were given with her in her carrier as multiple techs helped distract/restrain her. Since this was apparently a "vaccine only" appointment (I had mentioned wanting an exam, but this was obviously disregarded), I had to reschedule for a week later. Seeing that my cat was not taking any better to this vet than previous ones, I mentioned the need for sedation so they could exam/diagnose her. Figuring they should have some idea what would be required, I accepted the next appointment, though wary of no special time or instructions. Arrived at the office to see a lady standing outside with a huge dog. Knowing that this wouldn't go well with my cats or the dog, I chose to wait in the car for a few minutes until whatever the issue was was cleared up. Once the dog was inside, I grabbed one cat (the less reactive one) and headed inside, maybe 5 minutes after our appointment time. The huge dog was unfortunately in the cat area, so I nixed the idea of leaving my cat unsupervised in there while getting my reactive cat and waited patiently while they dealt with the dog in the dog area and the one in the waiting area with us. 20 minutes later, the receptionist finally acknowledged me and I let her know that I was there with my cats and went to bring the other one in when she said it would be a few minutes. After returning with my other cat, she told me my appointment was earlier (I know, and have been waiting patiently). I explain about the dog issue and she tells me I have to reschedule because I was more than 15 minutes late, although I had been in the waiting room at least 10 of those minutes. Now having no confidence in their ability to be understanding or deal with my poor anxious cats who would have to go through all this stress again and passed that my patience was rewarded with a brush-off and cancelation, I am now seeking a new vet. I would much rather have to drive a bit further to find someone who actually cares about animals and doesn't blame the client for their inability to multitask.

This is my 3rd time bringing my furbabies to Dr. Ross he's a good doctor, he's been doing this for a while & I trust his advice & skill. Jasmine the vet nurse is the most sweetest person ever, she helped me hold my big old scardy-cat dogs lol & they were pretty calm for the most part. Ronnie is very nice & explains the answers to all my questions and, I appreciate their work.

I had my little 18 year old dog put down, she was in a lot of pain and would not eat any more. It was time for her to have peace. I had her cremated and put into a small red cedar box. I have her with me which comforted me a great deal! We are still together!

Dr. Ross put my cat back together when it was attacked and was in pieces, he's good as new. He helped my 14 year old girl thru a very nasty cancer providing excellent guidance to the very end. Years of experience and a voice reason I can trust. I appreciate the direct honest approach with no b.s. making it easy to make the right choices.

They never told me what cause my dogs infection on his cheek. My dog was in a lot of pain and they had to shave around his infected area, they painfully forced him and were not careful. They did nothing but hurt him more and make the hole that he had in his cheek way bigger than it already was. Since he was refusing and defending himself they suggested me that if he continued to be like that for a while they would have to put him down. What kind of “doctor” says something like that just because he was refusing and in pain. Plus they were charging me for stuff that I wasn’t even aware that my dog was receiving when I clearly told them all I wanted to do was the check up for the wound. The receptionist was really rude when I told her I couldn’t pay more for stuff that in the first place I didn’ want and second I wasn’t aware of. Never coming back and don’t recommend this place!!
