We disappointed this bakery store. We are visitors from Seattle. We wanted to eat a fresh bakeries and coffee in the morning. I had a hard time finding the location of the store. I found a delicious bread pudding so I ordered it. But it was horrible taste, cold and hard. We asked to warm it up. And almond croissant is no good too. We're expected to have a fresh bakeries.I wouldn't recommend this place.

I ordered my wedding cake through this bakery and everything was absolutely perfect! I sent them an inspiration picture I had in mind and they nailed it! Turned out even better than my Inso pictures. Communication was great and everyone loved the cake. My guests said it was the best cake they ever had. We did a plain vanilla cake with buttercream frosting with strawberry filling. Thank you!!

Im a sucker for Almond Croissants. They had it, I tried it, but nothing like what I had in Paris or Monterey. But this place doesnt claim its french bakery, so if I think of it as American bakery then it was great. It was fresh, just not what I was used to.

We arrived after 11, so we missed out on trying the cranberry orange loafs of bread as they were all gone. We tried the chocolate and ham and cheese croissants. Both delicious. The cranberry orange muffin wasn't as moist as I had hoped and was more dense but yummy if you like that. Apple Danish was delicious too. I did think it was a little pricey as the muffin was $3.75.

Might be the best lemon meringue pie I've ever had. 5 stars just for that. Meringue was sooooo good. Also tried the key lime pie and the pecan pie, which were good but not amazing. Definitely will come back to try the strawberry rhubarb pie and some other pastries.

Cozy, family owned business. All the items sold look amazing! We got the blueberry muffin and cinnamon roll. The cinnamon rolls are baked in the shape of a muffin and have the cream topping on them. So tasty! Coffee is great too!

I placed an order for my daughter's sweet 16 birthday cake and was very happy with the quality of the cake and the customer service. Adrian was very helpful and provided excellent customer service. They made sure the cake was exactly as the image I sent to them. We ordered the peanut butter frosting and it was a huge hit. The price is worth the quality and service. Thank you guys for making her day special.

My wife and I recently got married in South Lake Tahoe, with a wedding cake provided by Sugar Pine. Every vendor we worked with in the area had recommend them to us, and I’m so glad we listened!We walked in and met Anahi at the shop for a tasting, and within minutes we were served up a bunch of yummy cake samples. We ultimately decided on a couple of different flavors, that had never been made into a cake together before, and the team at Sugar Pine was more than happy to make a custom cake for us around those flavors. We also ordered several dozen cupcakes for our wedding, which were a HUGE hit with our guests.Great service, and even greater cakes. What more can you ask for? Highly recommend!!

Sugar Pine Bakery made our wedding cake for our Tahoe elopement. We wanted something simple but elegant. Wow! When I picked up the cake it was absolutely perfect! I coordinated everything with Anahi by email since I was from Oregon. She even offered to add the flowers to the cake but my daughter did that for us the day of the wedding. The two flavors of our cake were strawberry shortcake and chocolate raspberry ganache. They were both so yummy! We also had a few gluten free cupcakes made for a guest w/ celiacs. Those also got rave reviews! I would definitely use Sugar Pine Bakery again and plan on getting a cake from them anytime I go back to Tahoe!!!

Angel is a true baker (confectioner). And we the German Guys were not only there once. Spent many months at the LTH. If someone has claimed the opposite of producing food, they have little idea or clue about how much sweat and work it is. (It's not mass-produced) Its baked goods are very close to our bakers. He is a baker with passion and does his job, he is not just called Angel, he is also a good hearted angel as well as his whole family. I hope we meet again soon. Allison and Mary Sue keep asking about his delicious cakes, and the Bagels a poem as well as his cappuccino there is nothing to complain about. Worst experience.The custom cake I ordered was not ready to be picked up when I arrived. They did discount the cake, which I’m glad they did, the fondant was cracked and had elephant skin. I would have been upset to receive that it I paid $300.The second cake I ordered was cancelled a week and a half before the date of the birthday. Every where is already booked. You cannot get a custom cake in less than two weeks.

I ordered a cake here for my dad's 65th birthday. We were celebrating my dad's birthday and retirement, along with our first time visiting Tahoe. It was definitely an eventful weekend and one we will never forget.I decided to order from a local bakery, because why not? Help local businesses and try something new.Placing the order was easy and the people who worked there was super helpful.I did a 2 tier cake for 20 people.1st tier was marble with chocolate ganache2nd tier was strawberry shortcake with vanilla custard.Surprisingly, everyone loved the marble with chocolate ganache the best.I really want to go back and go to the store and try they're baked goods.We did a delivery but drove past the store while sight seeing. Unfortunately, they were closed already.

We were celebrating my son's first birthday during the summer of the pandemic. We were lucky to find this bakery! We had a very small gathering of 4 people and they were kind enough to make the cake for his "Wild One". The cake was perfect - better than I had hoped. Tasty with just the right amount of sweetness.Everything from placing the order to pick up was smooth.Little one loved the cake too - he dug right in!Thank you for making our day so special!

Had a breakfast bagel sandwich, a chocolate croissant for later, and an iced coffee. All their pastries, pies, etc look amazing, and I like to support local places when I travel. All baked fresh in-house. Staff was friendly and efficient. Would recommend!

I'm not sure if they have changed something recently, but this was my husband & I favorite place to get almond croissants in Lake Tahoe. On a recent visit, the baked goods we purchased were quite different than the last time. No almond croissants left, so we pre ordered some to pick up the next day at 11 am and tried some other options.I had a ham & cheese croissant heated & husband tried the plain croissant. The texture was seriously that of Pillsbury pre-made dough. It was a strange smooth texture it wasn't flaky & it didn't taste like a croissant it was completely different than when we had been there last time. I was super hungry & my ham and cheese croissant was not heated up all the way through. it was cold in the middle. I still ate it. My husband asked for something different because he truly did not enjoy the plain croissant. We were informed their electricity went out, so that could have affected the baking process...ok, we can tey something else today. So, instead, he got a pumpkin muffin, which was only okay. We also tried a blueberry streusel top muffin again, only okay. Both of these honestly had a texture of day old to them.Upon returning the next day at 10:00 a.m. to pick up our croissants yes we did say we would pick them up at 11:00 but we were headed back out of town and thought Surely with a pre-order of six croissants that they would be ready at 10:00 a.m. and unfortunately, we were wrong. We were we're informed that they were not ready yet since we had requested them to be ready for pickup at 11:00 a.m.. ( we thought for sure a bakery would have already baked all of their items in the morning especially a pre order of 6 croissants ) and with an hour to go until pick up time I'm not sure how they would have been ready in another hour honestly. Baked ,cooled, and stuffed with the almond paste? We asked for a refund which they were very nice about, but it was just a kind of let down since we felt ordering ahead of time and pre paying we would be able to have our breakfast in the car as we drove home & some left over for tomorrow. No. I'm not sure if we will go back again.

I wanted to do something special for my wife's 40th birthday. I planned a trip to South Lake Tahoe from Billings, Montana. I wanted a custom cake to add to the surprise. I searched for local bakeries online and contacted several.Sugar Pine Bakery was one of the first to respond, and seemed eager to assist. Jessica and the team were helpful in the planning and design of the cake for two months. After exchanging several ideas, Sugar Pine came up with an amazing cake.The Sugar Pine team also took part in the surprise. I took my wife to the bakery, and walked in, and there was a custom cake in the display case. I suggested she check out all of the awesome options and then she noticed a cake wishing her a happy birthday. It resulted in the surprise I was after. Angel did an amazing job with the detail and artwork.The cake was beautiful but also delicious. My wife noted that she had never had a cake lined with layers of real blueberries. It was quite special.While we were there we also tried the ham and cheese croissants and they were fantastic!

We got there several hours before closing; yet they were still out of many items. Their website shows pictures of many appealing items. Very frustrating! The girl who assisted us was very understanding and friendly! She apologized. Great customer service, but not much else!

Great chocolate croissants. They make some of the best, if not the best, chocolate croissants I have ever eaten. I definitely recommend it. The coffee ☕️ was really good as well. It's easy to find if you pay attention to the road or Google Maps. Not hard to find.

The scent of fresh baked goodness lured us in. They were out of cinnamon rolls in the display but the gal was able to grab more from the back. It was however…lackluster. I expected a warm gooey pastry but it was hard and globed with cream cheese icing. The gals working were very friendly though.

This place makes fantastic sourdough bread! Truly great. Their sandwiches are generally really good, and they are extremely well priced for the area. Although their grilled cheese is underwhelming and needs more flavor; and sadly, their cookies need a lot of work... I'm pretty sure they make them with margarine and not butter, you can taste it. Also, they sell various coffees and teas for half the price of Starbucks. Worthy of a lunch stop by anyone visiting the area.

My daughter bought a variety of pastries for my birthday. We had ham and cheese croissants for lunch, which were delicious. We also had cheese danishes and apple danishes, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit and key lime tarts, and several other desserts. They were all dense, buttery, and delicious.

This cute bakery is right on Lake Tahoe Blvd and a real find. Obviously a regular for the local population, we were fortunate to stop by this Bakery on our drive out of Lake Tahoe. The donuts are fresh, delicious and melt in your mouth memorable. My husband loved the cinnamon roll, daughter the chocolate cake donuts and me the croissants. All of the pastries are mouth watering and there just wasn't enough time to try each selection, a mistake we will not make next time. Staff was friendly and service was great. Social distancing was well done and everyone wearing masks.

We try breakfast options 🥐 and bagels with egg and ham with coffee. Good price, fast, delicious, and great service! We order croissants with ham and cheese,a pecan pie and a lime pie to go. They served as our lunch in the highway, and they were delicious as well.
