My package shipped the day after I placed my order and arrived 3 days after from Lake Tahoe all the way to Delaware. They included samples from the same company and sent their newest scent which was a very nice touch. The store looks beautiful in person but shipping worked out very well also thanks for the extra samples!

Very unique place! Be prepared to spend some time and it’s worth it. A huge selection of amazing perfumes and colognes. If you are looking for a new smell this place hits all the right notes. I would recommend keeping your children out. This is not a place you want to bring them. Don’t bring a bull into a fine china store.

An absolutely wonderful experience in this store. Easily the best selection and most knowledgeable help getting a new scent that I have ever found. The owner tends to customers personally and is happy to share a vast length and breadth of experience in fine perfumery.The amazing and esoteric products were vastly different from a generic stop at a department store. I left with a great fit, a great education, and a big smile.Best stop in Tahoe, and the big dog that greeted me at the door started the visit off rightThank you, Jana!

Was in Lake Tahoe on vacation and decided to stop into Fragrance Vault to check the collection out and was blown away by the selection of fragrances both new and discontinued. The sales associate (didn’t catch her name) was the most informed/educated/helpful salesperson I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting at a fragrance store. She was not only immensely knowledgeable, but equally as passionate about fragrances as I am (I’m a nerd). This was so refreshing compared to most of my prior experiences purchasing fragrances. I ended up snagging a recommended fragrance and was gifted some samples without even asking. Highly recommend checking the store out if you’re in the area.

I am indifferent about this store and my experience. I love perfumery, sometimes I just want to go and smell different things. Luxury scents should invoke joy before purchasing. I realize this is a business and selling is the job. When I want to smell something that I have read about and it has mass appeal I still want to smell that and make my own judgements. It seems like the owner is a bit jaded by the grey market. Focuses more on selling Independent brands because they may be less likely to be on the grey market. Rather than letting me try the brands and stuff I want to smell. The customer service is great when there is more than 1 person in the store. I just want to smell those mass appeal brands too. I don't care if they are on the grey market. If they invoke joy and I have a great experience I will buy here. However not allowing me to smell what I came into smell and steering me towards indie brands is not a way to get me to purchase. The store is very clean and the people are kind. I just want to make my own choices on what I want.

I rarely feel the need to leave a review after visiting a store. Fragrance Vault is an exception.During my vacation in Tahoe I discovered this store with a close friend. We are both interested in cologne, but nowhere near experts. Immediately on entry we were stunned by the impressive displays and sheer number of fragrances. We were greeted by the kindest, most knowledgeable, and relaxed/passionate worker I have ever met. Mackenzie(hope I am spelling it right) was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome even though we clearly were not as well versed in fragrances as her. After smelling many of her suggestions and some other colognes I was interested in, my friend and I had to leave. However we both agreed seconds after walking out that we had to come back before our vacation was over.Fast forward two days and we returned again. Mackenzie not only recognized us, but she remembered what we had smelled and the fragrances we discussed. We continued right where we left off and I ended up purchasing samples of Virgin Island Water and Golden Green while my friend purchased Atomic Rose and Paragon. We also briefly met who I assume was the owner who was just as welcoming.Among all of the amazing scents, cool bottles, and fluffy dog, what really stood out the most was the customer service. I don’t live in Tahoe or anywhere near it, but the 12 hour drive from where I live would be worth it just to visit this store again. Some places that sell colognes can be very rude and jaded if they sense that you aren’t going to buy or aren’t an expert. Not this store. Our experience here was unrivaled in terms of quality and comfort. Thank you Fragrance Vault for making my friend and I feel so welcome and especially thank you to Mackenzie for sharing your charm and amazing fragrance insight. Amazing customer service. Janice was very patient with me and my group and was extremely friendly. Came during school trip and she was very helpful with my friends. Heard her talk in Spanish to other customers, so good to know if any language barriers might be present. 10/10!

Mackenzie helped us out the whole time and was super patient with us. She let us smell basically the whole store and gave amazing insight. The inventory is crazy and there are so many niche and discontinued fragrances. Theres really nothing like this place.

This place is so cool!! The staff working there, Mackenzie, was absolutely amazing. She had about 30 different bottles out based on our preferences and helped us find some amazing scents! I would highly recommend visiting here if you are looking for anything vintage, new, or rare, and if Mackenzie is there, you will be in great hands!

I came across Fragrance Vault during a recent visit to South Lake Tahoe. (One of my favorite things to do when visiting a place is to check out the local boutiques to see if they have perfumes I have never smelled before) After doing a Google search for "perfume stores near me" I found Fragrance Vault and decided to check it out. Once inside the store, I admit I was a bit intimidated by the giant bottles of designer fragrances on display and rare perfume offerings from all over the world. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Mckenzie, who was the only person on staff at the time. As I lifted a bottle of $1000 French perfume up to my nose, she gently informed me that I could not sniff or spray the bottles to sample but kindly assured me she would spray any scent I was interested in onto a sample swatch. She then asked me which types of scents I liked and I told her, Vanilla or anything sweet and nothing floral. She then presented me with several vanilla and garamound options from all over the world, none of which I had heard of, all of which were amazing, albeit most of which were quite spendy. One of the scents she presented to me was Vanille Extreme by a brand called Sud Pacifique. It smelled like the most delicious angel food cake with vanilla frosting I had ever smelled and I pretty much bought it on the spot. It was actually more affordable than the other fragrances she presented which was a plus. Throughout this entire process, Mckenzie was not pushy or snotty and was laid back and knowledgeable on both the product and customer, all of which I appreciated. I promptly started using the Vanilla Extreme perfume upon exiting the store and immediately got scores of compliments from people of all ages and types including my boyfriend who almost lost his mind when he smelled my new scent on my neck. I then called Mckenzie to tell her thank you for the recommendation and service. She was so appreciative of this feedback and even remembered my name when I called. I am super impressed with the selection of fragrances at Fragrance Vault and even more impressed with McKenzie's casual yet highly informed approach to sales and service. I would highly recommend giving this store a visit and a sniff and especially recommend the Vanille Extreme by Sud Pacifique.

This store has a great collection of niche fragrances and lots to choose from. However the older lady with white hair and glasses was very unhelpful and rude. She sat in the back on her phone and did not offer any help with the fragrances, and was rude about peoplePetting the big dog running around the store. Accidentally stumbled upon this heavenly place. The owner is an Encyclopedia for fragrances and the houses that produce them. They presented dozens of different fragrances just to educate me. They packed samples without even asking. Must visit store!!P.S - if you’re lucky you will get to pet Oliver.Love for this place from Birmingham, Al.

The best experience! The owner was about to close but stayed an hour longer to show us what we were looking for and showed us many more niche perfume houses. We told her what types of notes we liked and she nailed it on finding the perfumes. We bought a few and she was very generous with samples. From those samples we already have 5 more perfumes we are going to purchase. Thank you very much Java.

Ordered La Isla Blance and was surprised at how fast delivery was. Can only imagine how the experience in the store would be. Would have liked to see some samples in my box with my purchase as it helps people decide on next fragrance to aquire. But other then that great experience on my purchase.

Clinque Chemistry is my husband's absolute favorite cologne. They discontinued it a few years ago. I bought (4)1.5ml bottles and as a sweet surprise, a 5th bottle was added for free! I gave this to my husband as an early birthday present. Needless to say, it brought tears to his eyes and said that's it! I couldn't be any more pleased with my purchase. It was packaged well and arrived fast!

Went here on a road trip from Oregon to Texas. I was impressed with the selection of #bondno9 cologne and perfume they had! The lady behind the counter was helpful without being too salesy. If I lived in the area or was ready to buy when I stopped in, this would be the place I would buy. Top notch shop!

This is not your regular store. I’m not “shopping” when I’m in there. I’m having a mind-opening, captivating sensory experience. All three of these ladies, every time I go in give me such a wonderful time. They work with me until I find exactly the fragrances I want, pulling out new fragrances based on whatever feedback I give on the ones I’m smelling. They’re just so much fun to talk to and I can tell they’re all passionate about fragrances and enjoy sharing the experiences that each one provides. They are incredibly generous with their guidance and letting you smell their inventory, which is MASSIVE btw. This has very quickly become one of my favorite places. This is a must-stop if you’re in the area. World-class!

This is definitely going to be a regular stop for me when in Tahoe. Also, make sure you give Oliver plenty of pets and loves as he is the best boy.

Entered the store. Greeted from the far back by a woman who never left her chair. Asked whether they sold designer perfumes or dupes- trying to figure out what we just walked into. She said only designer. Explained the quadrants of the store - what’s where. Asked for Coco Mademoiselle- they’re out. Asked for Valentino Born in Roma - they’re out. Asked for Tom Ford Lost Cherry - they’re out.Asked about a line we weren’t familiar with (it’s Japanese) and picked up the bottles to see which one we’d like to smell. “Ma’am I’ll have to ask you to stop picking up the bottles. It’s an insurance thing.” So how do we smell them? She says if there’s something you’d like to smell I will assist you.Never have I ever been in a fragrance store that uses vinegar in display bottles and doesn’t have testers. If that’s your business model, I can accept and even appreciate that but it’s on you to educate shoppers - perhaps get up from your chair????? Would not buy anything here. Horrible experience.

Jana was amazing. I spent 2 hours in the store with her just talking about fragrances before making my purchases! Her customer service was impeccable. Her stock was like no other store I have been to. Designer fragrances, niche fragrances, and vintage. Jana took the time to share her knowledge about each fragrance I was into! I love this store! I go to Lake Tahoe every 1-2 years and just discovered this store on my last trip. If you are a fragrance lover/collector you MUST go here. The selection is out of this world and the owner is so knowledgable and kind. I ended up buying two amazing fragrances and plan to be back every time I'm in the area.

Me and my husband walked there to kill some time before dinner and ended up buying 4 fragrances because of how awesome the staff is! They are the nicest people with passion for fragrances. Jena is a true collector with deep knowledge of perfumes and David is also very professional and friendly. Honestly it’s just so good to be there, we will definitely come again to say hi and try something new!
