I highly recommend Dr Singh and Somis Vet! Dr Singh is very kind and his front staff is helpful. The prices are reasonable and there is usually pretty good availability for appointments as well. I’m fostering a litter of rescue puppies and they received very good care. I also love the online portal they have because all of your records are available with just one login.

I have taken my pets here in the past, but my last visit was less than satisfactory. My cat had a diarrhea issue so I took him in. He mentioned the costs of said treatments, but when it came time to pay, the amount was significantly higher than what he had told me. When I questioned it, he became irritable and said that he could no longer see my cat because he had fleas, which to me is an absurd thing to say coming from a veterinary hospital that treats pet ailments. I simply asked for a breakdown of what was being charged to which he asked that I never return. If you choose to continue coming here, please make note of what you are being charged for. He over charges in some instances hoping that the customer will not catch on.

Dr. Sing is very gentle and knowledgeable. We arrived for our appointment and were seen almost immediately. He could tell what was going on with our dog the minute he saw him. Instead of putting our dog on an examination table, he sits on the floor with him. So much less stressful for our dog. The staff is friendly. He took our dog in the back room for a wound cleaning, nail clipping and a couple of shots ant the whole thing took less than 5 minutes. I really like this place.

We all have our 'bad' experiences with vets at one time or another, but then there is Somis Vet. I recently called to see if I could get my dog in to be seen for what I thought may be an infection on his toe/foot. He had the same thing about a year ago. They were completely booked and closing early due to short staff, however they asked me to email a picture of his foot, which I did. He was given antibiotics and spray and I was given all the instructions I needed to feel that I was helping my pup even though he wasn't technically 'seen' in office. This was a huge relief and I truly appreciate the fact that Somis Vet cares about the animal, not the profit. I will continue to be a repeat customer and want to thank you all at Somis Vet for caring and helping our fur babies.

Had some bad experience with small animals vet so have only one that I truly trust but he himself is sick so when an emergency happen I called a couple of local vets everyone was busy so called Humphrey Giacopuzzi & Associates Equine Hospital my large animal vet and they recommended Somis so glad they did I walked in they grab my baby and in a second they are running into surgery ... their care for animals above all is just amazing most people would be shocked from just no talk and would think bad bed side matter I just thought was incredible how they quickly took care of her ps as I am writing this review I got a call to let me know she is in surgery and they will update me as soon as she is out ! He has earn my respect ! Highly recommended prices is beyond fair and since her surgery Dr.Singh spoke with me 3 times to let me know she is fine

My experience was wonderful. My dog was seen the same morning and after examining my 2 year old dog. The vet said the good news his illness was not life threatening. Dr Singh said to givr him 1/2 a tab every 12 hrs for a week. He also gave me 3 cans of dog food to help him get over the diarrhea. I couldn’t believe my charge was only $90. Unlike other vets that run every test ( cat scan, ultrasound lab work) Dr Singh said he was very confident in his diagnosis and if he didn’t get better call him back for more testing. He was better the next. Day.**** update, I called Somis Vet hospital and asked if I could get a prescription for the medication to have on hand in case diarrhea was to become a problem in the future. I was told I had to make an appointment to bring a healthy dog in before veterinarian would write a prescription . What a rip off!!!!

I’ve been going to this vet for almost a year now and every time I go I have a great experience. Not only is this vet super affordable, but you can tell the vet loves what he does, he cares for the dogs, and wants the best for the pets instead of the money. When I went with my dog I asked him about what is happening to my dog and he told me sincerely that he can give us medications and I will have to use them for the rest of my dogs life and he will make money but he isn’t going to do that instead he gave me simple alternatives that I can do at home to save money and still get the results I need. Thank you Dr. Singh!

Worst vet experience over the years. Gruff and treated like everything I did was wrong. Thought I couldn't complain because the prices are so good, especially for vet care but glad I've moved on. Some of the recommendations (like not needing any heartworm prevention) were just not healthy or in my pets best interest. At the end of my time here I couldn't even get through on the phone and daily hours are so short I could not get my dog in for emergency care in any kind of timely manner. Not sure why I put up with it as long as I did, besides just being more affordable.

We have had nothing but the best experience with this place. We came to Dr. Singh after a disappointing experience with a vet we have used for several years. Our dog was having seizures and we ended up in the emergency pet hospital during off hours. The next day per recommendations of a friend, we came to Somis Veterinary Hospital which was closed, however Dr. Singh was inside. Not only did he take us on his day off and look at her, but he reviewed the labs, gave us medication and told gave us a follow up time to come back. Our dog was very old and it was her time, when we came back two days later, he helped us through the tough end of life process with compassion. You can tell he is there for the animals, and he cares! I highly recommended him to you if you care about your animals!

I am so grateful to Dr. Singh for taking such good care of my Lovey. Dr Singh removed 8 years of neglect from my dogs mouth. Dr Singh was kind and the office girls are very nice. Aside from the wonderful care Lovey received, the fees Dr Singh charged we're so reasonable, I was sad that I had been to see him sooner. Somis Vet Hospital came recommended to me by the rescue where I adopted my pup after he broke his elbow try to jump down some steps. As it was in the night, I took him to an 24 hour emergency vet and had the worst experience, including getting berated in the parking lot for even thinking about taking my dog somewhere else for surgery. Dr. Singh was instantly kind and accommodating and right to the point on cost and level of care. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of, and they got an ortho specialist from Los Angeles to make a special trip just for my little guy. Dr. Singh charged me less for surgery and care than it did for a night in the hospital for my dog, and they did it with some much more kindness and compassion. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone who needs affordable, compassionate care for their pets.

I work in the veterinary industry and I’m so disappointed with this vet, as well as with the adoption agency we used, Wagmore. Wagmore provides spay/neutering services along with microchipping for dogs they rehome at this vet. After we adopted, we got threatening emails about making sure that our dog was neutered before a certain time, or they could be confiscated. I made sure to schedule his visit at the very last date possible (there’s a ton of literature out there that indicates neutering/spaying should be done after 1yr). I wasn’t contacted by this vet for any blood work that was necessary and instead received an email saying that I could just bring him in. I took him to my vet, got appropriate preop blood work for him and made sure that he looked good for his surgery. My dogs emailed blood work got no response from this doctor, and when we took him in today, he said he would only do the surgery if we insisted, being that he was too small. All of his information including his weight was provided to this vet well ahead of his appointment. The way that he discussed potential for fatality during anesthesia was so alarming that there was simply no choice for me to take my dog back. Now we will have to drive back 3 hours to our home and comp the neutering and microchipping ourselves - because of an inconsideration to check my dogs chart, and an alarmingly subpar vet that was included in his adoption. Please do your homework on these places, if you get a bad feeling, there’s probably a good reason for it.- RESPONDING: I knew to get my dog checked out before surgery because I’m familiar with this field. This Dr did not prepare me, nor my pup by asking for blood work before his scheduled appointment, and clearly did not review his information before we arrived. There were no concerns from his previous vet who have already provided us an estimate for his neutering. The fact that this doctor then made us feel like it was our decision to put my dog at risk because he is a very small dog (5lb) was ridiculous as there are plenty of other dogs and small mammals (cats/rodents etc) that require different types of anesthesia in order for a simple neuter. Obviously I did not leave him there because I thought this Dr would put his life at risk, and we will not be coming back.

I would not recommend Dr Singh and would discourage anyone from visiting the clinic. I felt as if he did not care about my animal or take her issue seriously. I was completely dis-satisfied with the whole experience. He never responded to my e mails after our visit nor answer my questions after I already payed him. He was dismissive to me in person and I felt ignored. He did not take the well being of my animal seriously and offered no solutions to the problem other then wait for the lump to disappear on it's own as it is only yellow fluid. Since then I have found a wonderful clinic out here in Simi Valley who completely drained by baby's lump and it is now almost gone. I will never bring any of my 6 animals back to Dr Singh
