Had the OMG burger and wow. Such a different and unique flavor profile.... the ginger lemon is really balanced out with the cream cheese and onion fries. Really good!Garlic fries were ok and better with the ranch. The potatoes are tossed in alot of minced garlic. A fun try but not needed.Lots of interesting burger options. And a great view of Shasta from the patio. Service was fun.. they give you funny names to retrieve your order (vs order numbers). Great stop!

This place is awesome. They have plenty of parking and seating both indoors and outdoors. Crystal was the best she was so kind and helpful. She made great recommendations that were extremely delicious. The food was fresh and so good. We ordered the breakfast burrito the everything bagel sandwich. They even have a bathroom. The Yak merch is super cute and well priced. The peanut butter latte was surprisingly good the snickerdoodles we good and made with cream of tartar. I can wait to go back on our road-trip home. If I could put ten stars I would ten out of ten totally recommend this location.

The fam and I went to have lunch and Yaks Shack was the place in mind. While we’ve visited Yacks on the 5, we’ve never had tried yaks shacks and wanted to take a short drive and I’m sure we did! The food was fantastic as well as the atmosphere. It was a brisk 41 degrees and cloudy. Unfortunately we had no view of Mt Shasta but it was a great vibe nonetheless. If you’re planning on driving through I-5 and do yourself a favor and plan on visiting and grabbing yourself a bite. You won’t be disappointed, I know we weren’t! My daughter and I ordered the Bacon Asiago chicken sandwich, my wife ordered the Cilantro Bomb burger and my son ordered the Make me wanna cry garlic obsession burger with garlic fries. Fan-freakin-tastic!!! Their food and service never fails and has a fun atmosphere. Happy eating fam!Wheelchair accessibility: For those needing ease of access their patio opens right to the sidewalk and one could pull up to a table outside.

This is a strange little place. They only have outdoor seating, you counter order inside a small space, and pick up outside at a window. The food was ready fairly quick, and smelled amazing. It was good, but not WOW. And for $52 for 2 burgers, upgraded with fries instead of chips, and 2 drinks, it was just OK. Not a place I would go to twice.

Food was alright. Got the bacon breakfast burrito, some cookies for the kids, and a scone. I didn't care for any of it, but that's a personal preference. Other people with me liked their food.Drinks were good. The coffee drinks were exceptional, but the smoothie wasn't much of a smoothie and I wouldn't recommend it.The atmosphere was very nice, but keep in mind there is no interior seating, just on the patio.

Wow. Incredible burgers and fries. Extremely generous helpings and so tasty. Their coffee offerings are great too.The service is so helpful and friendly. And you're given a hilarious name they call out when your order is ready.There is a big patio space outside on days when the weather is nice.Can't say enough about this place!5 x 🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔

Pricey but they must take pride in their product. Cute way to pick up your order when it's ready. Tried the OMG, it was okay. Would recommend it if you enjoy sweet and mild flavors with a crispy texture. The cream cheese is an interesting touch. Very filling. Fries are good. The coffee was fair, not strong or overpowering (the cappuccino was a little watered down and the mocha tasted like chocolate milk, if you like that sort of thing) salad, burger, 2 Coffee, tip = $50.

Excellent food. Yaks was the best sandwich place I have ever been to. One person in our party thought it was the best breakfast she had ever had from a restaurant. Delicious breakfast burritos. They also have the option to put your breakfast burrito in a bowl, to be gluten free. All the bacon any of us had was the best we ever tasted:not too greasy, and not too dry. If I could rate it 6 out of 5 stars, I would.

Stopping by Yak's Burger after reaching Mount Shasta was a true delight! Despite the chilly, windy atmosphere, the 'melt your tongue' burger and garlic fries were exceptionally flavorful. The snowy view of Mount Shasta added an extra layer of magic to the meal.Parking: Free street parking is available.

Yak’s is awesome! From the decor, to the staff, to the coffees, to the food. We stopped in on a whim. Didn’t even look up anything. Just rolled into Mount Shasta Boulevard and smelled this place from across the street. I had a burger which was really good. I wish that I would’ve however told them how to prepare it. It was a bit overdrawn, but I didn’t specify that I would like it medium. The french fries with the Garlic and Parmesan are out of this world! Also, sit outside and enjoy the view of Mt. Shasta!Check it out, NoCal!

Beautiful view, amazing food, great coffee. Stopped in on a Sunday morning around 10 on a freezing January morning. Mt Shasta overlooks this great little local gem. We had a Lassen Assassin burrito and the My Hammy sandwich. Both were exceptional. The eggs are so so good. Well worth the hype and the wait if your nearby. Had a mudslide drink and it was also fantastic. Will be back many times.

Cute little local spot. We had the burgers and they were fresh and delicious. The fries were really good too. No indoor seating, all outside. But the weather was great, so it didn't matter. It's right on the main road, so great views of Mt. Shasta and the downtown area. It is a little on pricey side, but worth trying out.

We were a party of 4. Got a chicken sandwich with bacon and ranch BBQ sauce. Vava vom was ordered as well as lave volcano and garlic burger. We also got garlic fries. Everything was amazing. Flavors worked well together. Only negative I have to say, there was a little to much sauce. Definitely need clean up in isle hands. Chips are the best!Location is on the main street super cute designs. I really wanted a tee but sizes were very limited. :(Restaurant has enjoyable seating area outside. Staff was great and helpful. Location was pretty clean. Enjoyed my visit. Just as fyi meals are closer to the $14 to $18 range.

We picked this spot upon driving through on our way north. What a could pick! Awesome patio (with dog water dispenser! ). The friendliest girl was working inside and quite literally redeemed my hope in humanity after a rough day. She was so sweet and funny. Give that gal a raise. Oh yeah, the burger…it was epically delicious. A little sloppy, in the best way possible. I do wish they were a little larger for the price, only cause we shared one and I definitely wanted to eat more.

Stopped in this small beautiful town on my way to mount Shasta. This place amazed me with a wonderfully tasting pulled chicken sandwich. You heard me right it’s not pulled beef or pulled pork. It’s pulled chicken. It’s so amazingly done the friend Onions, chicken and sauce mix together very well and gives you a unique taste. I have tried many grilled and fried sandwich and by far this is my favorite. The ingredients are so fresh and your can tell that every bite. Thanks to cooking this amazing sandwich. Good Luck with lots of love ❤️Don’t forget sit out and enjoy the views of mountain from the patio

First time at Yaks, driving through town and decided to ski Mt Shasta, definitely worth the stop for anyone driving I5 through Shasta.Food, service, was all absolutely amazing, I most definitely will be back.Had both a burger, Jalapeno one, and a breakfast burrito the next day. It might have been one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had (Lassen Assassin).Beer was fresh with a great selection, and variety.

Worth a stop for sure. This is one of the mostmoist flavorful burgers we’ve ever had. If you’re looking for something a little lighter, the chicken bacon bowl was absolutely delicious as well: warm yummy chicken, cold kale, delicious sauce.

First time visiting this location, expected a larger place like the one in Dunsmuir. Despite no place to eat inside on a rainy, cold day, the food was amazing! Fries had lots of salt and were very warm and crispy. Burger was awesome! It was very juicy with lots of sauce and fresh veggies. Almost to much stuff on it, couldn't keep everything on it and not spilling all over the place! Everything was very good and we will need to make this a definite so every time we come through town!

Highly recommended!Cute little restaurant with outstanding food! Their homemade sauces were creative and tasted amazing! So were the house made bagels - we tried jalapeño cheddar roll/bagel. As if the cute Christmas decorations and amazing food were not enough, Mt Shasta view just added on to the experience. Food, ambience and view were all 10/10.
