I'm here visiting my daughter and I just got to her dbl wide modular home to find that her wood stove needed the cleaning of the build up. She had embers flying out , very scary moment. So I hurriedly went to this hardware store , they were so friendly and helpful. And what a nice store! So thank you mt shasta hardware. I greatly appreciate it . Happy holidays.

It’s one of those places where you feel like you’re interrupting someone’s private party. The service is tolerable but not enough to justify the vibe. The cashiers are busy talking with each other to notice anything, much less if you have a question. I couldn’t wait to leave. I recommend going elsewhere if you can.Update: This place is getting better. There are two buildings, one with the grumpy folks and one with the "Helpful Hardware Folks". I figured out that the front entrance on Mount Shasta Blvd is the one. So I upped the rating from 1 to 3 stars

I have lived in Mt Shasta for over 10 years and I rarely have a good experience in this store. Today I was speaking to the cashier and she acted like I didn't exist, looked right through me , as if I wasn't there. I don't go in alone anymore because a customer attacked me in there once, a worker stood Infront of me though, so I'll give them that. It should not be a terrifying experience to visit your local hardware store.

A huge variety of merchandise packed expertly into small store. Great selection of hardware and household items. Seasonal products are very tasteful and makes great gifts. The owners take their community health seriously and mask/ social distance mandates are enforced in store

Awesome selection of stuff for such a small town store. You can go between stores before checking out which makes things very easy. We are lucky to have a store like this in our community. It's always busy but customer service is great.

I needed an item carried by Ace Ramshaw however I was 4 hours away.So I called them up and was transferred to Ford.I knew exactly what I wanted but didn't have the Ace item #. After a short discussion he said he would check it out. I called him back he found that they had what I wanted in stock so I paid for it right then.My friend will pick it up and all will work well.Thanks Ramshaw and Ford.

Great customer service. I really like shopping and Ace in Mt Shasta. You walk in, and the staff doesn't try and hide when they see you coming. They go out of their way to help you. They show you where to find what you are looking for and not just point. Love this place. Staff is great and cares. Good job management.

There is rarely a hitch in the excellent customer service and inventory at Ramshaw's. I've many times witnessed traveler's and residents alike finding what they need and being treated promptly and courteously. As a resident, I am grateful to have a full service hardware store within easy reach. Questions about power tools bought here are thoroughly answered and much support given over time. A wonderful enterprise! Highly recommended.

Great store. Awesome staff. I always attempt to shop local all the time. With that said I greatly appreciate stopping in with my plethora of questions and having personal support guide me to a solution. Often times a cheaper solution due to tricks of the trade I'm dealing with.

This is what a hardware store should be. They have EVERYTHING and the clerks are always helpful in getting you the right nut or bolt. Parts are organized and not randomized like at some of the big box stores. I go there again and again. It's a favorite.

It's my second home. The people who work here are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and eager to assist you. Really get that small town hospitality vibe. They've got most of everything you need (I'm a hands on guy and do a wide range of projects, haven't not found what I need yet) though you may need to go to the building supplies warehouse nearby for some items (5/8 drywall). They're also a Stihl supplier with knowledged and experienced employees available for help.

They pretty much have had everything we needed. If they don’t have it in stock they’ll order it for you. Store is clean and neat. Employees are top notch, polite, considerate, helpful. More than once they have gone out of their way to help.

I always feel comfortable, there. It’s a short walk from my home, and I like their garden starts, plus their tools and household supplies. Great staff, and I am planning to buy a cordless power drill, there. THE place to get DRANO.

I can't give it a true review because I didn't get to go in. They were closed. But for Dunsmuir, from what I could see, this little store had a lot to offer as far as gardening goes. Happens to be right down the block from Dunsmuir's community garden. Definitely worth a look. The town keeps it up with help from the community center, and I'm guessing they purchase a lot of their supplies from this hardware store. :)

Best service and selection in northern CA. I've always been able to find the part or item needed for all of my home maintenance nightmares. They carry stuff that even a big city Home Depot does not stock. And, they stand by their products.
