My day started in North Hollywood, California at the Big lots. We were looking for a patio set. They were out. They told us that the Canoga Park, California store had them. We drove to Canoga Park and guess what? They didn't have them. We spoke to this employee in Canoga Park that made it his mission to find it for us. He finally found a store in Santa Paula, California that had what we were looking for. He spoke to an employee named Jose. Jose asked his manager Chris if they can hold the items for us. The policy of the company is not to hold anything for customers, however given the circumstance, he made a decision to hold the two patio sets that we wanted. We drove all the way to Santa Paula and found both Jose and Chris. They were extremely friendly, kind and apologetic for all that we had gone through. Chris, the manager rang up the order for us. He then instructed Jose to take the items out to our truck. They both assisted in putting four large sized boxes on the truck. Chris was gracious enough to tie all of the boxes together so the boxes wouldn't shift or fall during transport. I tried to tip him and he refused to take it saying it was his pleasure to help. Overall the customer service at the Santa Paula, Ca store was excellent. Thank you to Chris and Jose for being great.

I shop for imported canned goods, which are impossible to find anywhere else. But there are plenty of deals on lots of things.

With Kmart no longer here in our town Ace hardware and Big lots and CVS are three of our best stores to shop or downtown is okay but I prefer shopping at CVS Ace or Big lots Big lots is really a great place their store is clean and since they've remodeled or adjusted their aisles everything is bright and visible their employees are friendly and their manager is good. I'm glad we have a Big lots in Santa Paula

Big Lots is the shiznet! The best random inventory coupons food gadgets mattresses you name it they have it all. I love it. Plexiglass up at the register masks for sale. They let my dog shop with me oh... great dog supply section. A must it's fun.. don't forget they have pet costumes..

They've gotten too big for their britches! EVERYTHING in there is FAR MORE EXPENSIVE than competitors - from electronics, to furniture, to groceries! We walked out, after 30 minutes of looking - didn't buy a THING!

thier inventory stock is not so goodalso I will never ever buy furniture from them again as we spent 1000 on a couch set and it fell apart 3 months later that they did not honor return or replacement
