This review is for the floral department in particular....WOW! I have lived all over the place and been to many store floral departments in several franchises but this one is exceptional. The team at this location are passionate, dedicated, and are true floral craftspeople. I have to mention one gentleman in particular. His name is Stjepan,( Slavic for Stephan), and let me tell you that his arrangements are spectacular! He approaches every bouquet with an artistic eye. My wife is amazed every time I bring her one of his works. Thank you Safeway Floral for your continued excellence.

Absolutely worth Safeway in Marin county I've ever been to I've been sitting at the customer service line for over half an hour now and no one has come to help me I have asked multiple employees to come help me I press the page buttons umpteen times and I keep pressing it I keep asking and no one is willing to come help me I'm about ready to just literally cancel my entire Safeway membership and go elsewhere let me provide some pictures, as you can see as with anyone with a brain can see none of these employees are actually busy and they have plenty of time to help and disabled person I disabled person who has a very limited mobility due to a car crash when he was 9 years old he was if I am 18 wheeler too they should prioritize people who have been injured at an early age such as myself to have a specialty grocery assistant to help you find the items you need and number three all disabled people should go to the front of the line when trying to make a purchase this is the worst Safeway I've ever been to whatsoever I highly disrecommend it shop here at your own peril

Staff is iffy most of the time. The guy in the florist section is wonderful. The rest have chip on their shoulder. Chinese is low end American Chinese according to my Chinese friend. Vacuum place, music shop pet store (and 😍), donuts, Silverman great. The big northgate mall is all but closed.All teenagers. Don't go to this area late at night.

Pretty much my second home at this point. I have been going to Safeway for a long time but have never found a more convenient location nor a more abundant variety of goods compared to that of the Safeway at Northgate 1. Unlike other supermarkets like Whole Foods, one could feed their family without foreclosing their house for a steak and vegetables. The excellent location of this Safeway is situated directly in the middle of Terra Linda, allowing for easy access to all of the things you could ever want. Another defining feature of the Safeway at Northgate 1 is the extremely kind and energetic environment provided by the helpful staff. Overall, the kind staff, convenient location, and great prices, makes Safeway my happy place.

Went there today and 5 honey crisp apple's cost 14.75. It's starting to be obvious Safeway/Kroger are a monopoly jacking prices up on everything to make back loss from the COVID Pandemic. I only wish we had a government that actually started to put these corps into check. 1/3/24

The staff is great at this Safeway very cheery and helpful at a stress full time of year. I must go there everyday this week and one of the stork boys say don't forget to bring us some. I'm baking cookies for them today. Thank you for all your hard work.

Staff are nice. Which is something considering how chaotic it is. Been waiting in line for 14 minutes and no new lines opened up to accommodate all the customers. Never like this at the Strawberry Mill Valley store. Employees and customers here deserve better.

EDIT: They've finally updated their posted hours weeks after this changeEven though their posted hours have not changed, this Safeway now seems to lock their doors and close at midnight instead of the 2am that they advertise.

Not unlike a lot of grocery store chains, this Safeway hires low IQ and developmentally challenged individuals. Unlike most other stores, who relegate those hires to aisle cleaning and cart roundup duty, this store moves them right into management. Worst Safeway in Northern California and it’s not even close.

Love it! Safeway has a big selection on everything. I love the organic brand. The produce section has very fresh vegetables and fruit! And always are very well stocked! Good job! 🙌

I don't live in the area, I work out here once a week so I come to this Safeway for lunch. Big kudos to Marco in Deli, every time I see him he's always cheerful and happy to help you and polite! Such a sweetheart! Good customer service is rare now a days. After years of doing retail myself and also being a customer I always like to recognize and compliment! Keep it up Marco you're awesome and your doing a great job!! You make it worth coming back! :)

I have been going to Terra Linda Safeway for the last 5 years, and it is always fast and easy. Folks make sure to take advantage of their self check out counters, and it will make sure life super easy.

Go there several times a week .they seem to cycle thru staff. Meat department is friendly and nice. Not the fanciest or most modern. But reasonably priced.Friday deals help to stretch the budget.Organic produce looked great today!Speedy in and out. Although the deli counter was swamped with high school kids getting the Friday chicken tenders deals.Skipped that.

Expensive! I might as well have gone to Whole Foods. I do most of my food shopping at Trader Joes who's prices have also gone up, but still very reasonable, I like Clover brand local dairy products available at Safeway.

Depending on time of day, you get the attitude or not. When I wasn't injured I got an attitude from female register around 12am. The same girl treated me with more respect when I was injured driving a cart around. There's always one checker at night whose always there and polite,helpful. Then there was a male checker to cover and when I was injured ,driving a cart around packed the groceries to where he had difficulty lifting em. How did he expect a girl in a handicap cart to be able to lift them? Overall selection and prices are good, expensive but normal for Marin.

I have no idea why, but in general these Safeway Employees seem happier, nicer, and friendlier than others I've gone to. I've received excellent customer service, I've also received mediocre customer service, but mostly it's been very good. Several times and with several different cashier's they have gone above and beyond to help me.There's one woman who's outstanding. She may be a boss however I don't know. She's black and has long well kept braids, in fact she always looked sharp and well kept. She's there Friday evenings when my friend and I shop. I just want her to know Kudos! Because she is doing a great job.The man who helps me out the most among the cashier's assistants always remembered my car after the first time he helped me. Some stores have cashier's regularly snapping at or being condescending to their assistants which really bothers me. I haven't witnessed it yet in this store in all the many years of Fridays that I've been shopping here.

I love this store, the produce the well-stocked shelves. But there's always a lack of checkers making long wait lines. And self checkout doesn't help when alcohol is included in the purchase. They really need to step up the number of checkers on staff at all times. My visit last week the checker that checked me out said they weren't even on the schedule, and without them there would have been no lines open except self checkout!

Like I said before the staff at the Safeway on B Street is remarkable! They are knowledgeable they're friendly their kind are courteous they are helpful! The store itself lacks in its items for some reason they're not a quote-unquote big Safeway they don't have a lot of items that the Safeway in Terra Linda and Novato has! There for sometimes I have to drive all the way to Terra Linda or Novato to get the things that I want! Was that Terra Linda Safeway today and got some good help from some of the employees there! I want to thank you for trying to help me find the Propel drinks!

This safeway is good and the people who work there are super friendly. Most often store is clean for the meat department/seafood needs attention all the time not just one week on, one week off. The week that they don't cleans the refrigerators you can smell them from the front of the store. Please, please clean them daily wash them weekly and rotate and price the products accordingly so the sell fast. Your drains must be flushed at least twice a week.

I really like this Safeway it is farther away than the one in downtown San Rafael but it has more items! For some reason they deem Terra Linda a place it's going to have a bigger Safeway that has more items larger content I guess! So I always come here when I can't find the things at the Safeway on B Street! Thank you Paul S.. the staff late at night at the Safeway in Terra Linda don't seem to be as friendly as the others in scanner field B Street

Was double charged for a $4.99 item. Decided not to go back in. Have you never tried to get customer service in a Safeway. It's a process that takes about 30 minutes. My time is worth more money.

This was my favorite supermarket but I hadn't been to this location in a long time.As I surveyed the store, I thought there's plenty to buy but not too much in the way of healthy options.Very disappointing. Going to Safeway is going to be a few times a year for me at best.

I like to go here because people here are nice and generous.. they great you with a warm welcoming and smiles at you everytime you see them. They would be able to help me to find what I was asking for. So much products to shop for. Got everything you need here at Safeway..Great place. Nice and clean. Good environment good people. It's safe place to walk in and there always space for parking. Yup. Recommended!!..

The store has very narrow aisles so impossible to socially distance. There's a strange odor that is almost like a "greasy spoon" restaurant. The cashier lines are always long. If it wasn't for the convenient location, I would not shop here. The flowers are the best and freshest around for the price.

Nice Parking area to park Don't have to worrie about finding a parking stole. Clean store. With friendly customer service, covenant location. Close by Freeway off and on ramp. Also can buy some household products to clean with here. Serve fresh deli sandwiches and togo fresh healthy snack packs in the deli . Love coming here

When shopping before work you should watch out for the employees because they quickly go up and down the isles with their carts and don't even give you a chance as the customer to grab your item and move on.
