AVOID this place if you’re a minority, esp the groomer Amanda. She showed me the door and asked me to leave their premise.I cried in the parking lot and had to report this discriminative behavior to Petco cooperate. I provided details of the incident and requested their investigation - so far there is no response from them whatsoever.-Re: response from owner below. I appreciate that but I need to a specific (vs generic) response to the horrific act displayed by your staff.

The groomer Danielle always takes the take to put my dog at ease when we first arrive and listens to the detail of his haircut and nail trim needs. Even though our dog can be sensitive about getting his nails and hair cut, she always shows patience to out him at ease allowing her to do his work. I have full confidence that I can trust her with caring for my dog.

Danielle and Amanda are great with my Husky. He is a rescue so when I first started bringing him he was very scared. They have a gentle touch and love the dogs they groom. I have even called last minute when my dog got sprayed by a skunk. This happened three times in a matter of a month and half. They fit him right in as they felt the urgency to take care of him. They are awesome!

Who doesn't love being greeted by name...by my dog's name, Charlie Brown! Thanks to Danielle for putting a huge smile on my face with such a warm and wonderful greeting. Beagle boy was scheduled a basic full wash service and Danielle was incredible. She even tied a super cute Snoopy themed bow on him. In addition, Danielle did a fantastic job washing him as he smelled wonderful and was soooo soft, his ears cleaned and nails smooth and short. Over and above service! Danielle shared with me what a good boy Charlie was to handle and take care of. This is every dog owner's dream is to have this experience when someone loves and cares for your pup as good as I do. Thank you so much Danielle for your kindness, professionalism and upbeat, posititivity! We will be back! Please share with local leadership what a great asset Danielle is to the Grooming Salon. I will only be scheduling service with Danielle in the future. Thanks for providing me the opportunity to share the feedback!

Nightmare experience with this Petco groomer.We had our dog groomed by a Danielle the first time around. I was made to pay for the grooming before seeing my dog (already a red flag) and then got him. By the time I was able to look at my dog, I noticed his grooming job was TERRIBLE. Complete patches of fur left all over his body, weird trim marks on his side, sections of his body left completely undone, and he was very clearly not bathed and shampooed as he was supposed to be.I called several times and did not receive a response. After calling more times and escalating with Petco HQ, we received a response over a week later asking us to bring him back in.When I dropped my dog back off (large inconvenience, btw), the manager of the department took over our dogs regrooming. While she was much friendlier and very understanding, we still had a couple issues. The groomer was unable to trim our dog's nails (this place was the first one that ever had that issue), still did not bathe him, and promised we would get a coupon for a free future visit, which I did not receive.At the very least, I would not recommend this groomer (especially Danielle), but really I would just avoid the location in general.

The groomers at the San Mateo Petco are always so friendly and they treat my dog Grover with so much love. They also schedule Grover's next appointments without me even asking. They always provide personalized service and I really like that. Great job!!!

I have been taken Shiloh to Petco Grooming since he was a puppy and he is almost 10 now. He is a very vocal boy and makes it clear that he prefers not to take a bath. Thank you to all the glooming staff who are very patient, kind, and loving. I just took Shiloh there yesterday. His coat is soft and smells fresh. Thank you for your loving care of him.

The employees were very helpful very courteous. they explain everything that they were going to do they were very knowledgeable about Lexi as a canine. Not only was I two hours late for my appointment, but they took me in anyway fitted me into their schedule and then gave me a courtesy call letting me know 15 minutes in advance that my dog would be ready. I couldn't ask for more.

The ladies at this location were so helpful with my Shihtzu!! Due to prior oversight by previous groomers, some of her nails were curled almost back into her skin! I couldn't even fit a clipper in the opening between the nail and the skin. These ladies took their time to gradually shorten the problem nails so my Abby could walk comfortably. I felt so bad that I didn't even notice this problem. These girls were great!! Oh, and did I mention I just dropped in to ask for help? Since I was able to present vaccine verification, they took me right in. 5 stars for this location!!

Amanda, our groomer, was professional and yet kind to our dog. We did add the spa package (an extra $23) to have his nails filed and his hair brushed to eliminate matting, bringing the total bill to $87 but Amanda was excellent and every service was done exceptionally well...the haircut, nails, ear hair removal, etc. The reviews about the groomers at Bridgepoint Petco proved to be honest and true and our dog, Obi, got a wonderful haircut! We will happily use this service again!
