Staff at this site are amazing, and are why I exclusively shop at Home Depot. I've had so many great experiences here over the years, and very few poor ones.Last night, I needed a replacement cartridge for my kitchen faucet. The lady who helped me was awesome - confirmed the part wasn't in stock, helped me figure out how to order so I could solve my problem.Experiences like this make me come back time and time again, even if I had to buy the part elsewhere as it was out of stock.There's a level of trust I have with the team, established over hundreds of visits over the last 20 years. I believe what they tell me, they know their business, and are focused on the outcome, not just moving product. They clearly make a point to hire great people, and it shows.

I just want to say THANK YOU to Mauro who works at the San Marcos Home Depot in San Marcos, CA. He was AMAZING!! The BEST customer service experience I've had at this location. He answered all my questions & when he didn't know the answer...he found out who did and got me the info quickly & courteously!! I had an issue with a sign posted not reflecting the amount of the discount on the item I was trying to purchase correctly & he was just so easy to talk to & kind & patient & even dusted off the box & loaded it in my car. At no point was he rude or impatient with me...he just made my trip exponentially a more pleasant experience & I wanted to say thank you & let home depot know you have a great guy working for you!! People like him are hard to find so you're lucky to have him home depot!! He's a keeper!! Thanks again Mauro!!

I do not know a saw blade from a tile cutter, but the associates at this particular store do. They treated me like an old friend and took the time to help me, even when I was shopping in a department that was not their own designated area. Gwen walked the store to help me find safety grab bar for mom, and the guy from plumbing helped me get Alex the correct laminate cutter blades. Donna helped me use my new Home Depot credit card for the first time while I’m still waiting on the hard card through the mail. Everyone was so helpful. Plenty of parking and shelves are all stocked, no excuses. I just moved to a new home and this store is conveniently located for all homeowner needs. Yeah. I’ll definitely be back. Awesome store, best staff ever, and I was made to feel welcomed the moment I walked through the door.

Needed some quick advice and help, gentlemen said his name was Chris employee at Home Depot San Marcos.Such an amazing person and service from this gentleman, he went above and beyond expectations to make sure I had what I needed to be able to fix my problem correctly.Home Depot is lucky to have him as a employee, all the best 👍

Haven't been out to this Home Depot in a while. It was clean well organized pretty well stocked and the clearance rack had a lot of the things I was looking for today so that was a win. They have plexiglass barriers at checkout and they have an associate at checkout to help get you through the lines in the most efficient way.Masks and social distancing are still required.I also received some excellent customer service in the plumbing pipe fittings and PVC areas.Great day at Home Depot!

Very good store for everything to buy for home. One can get civil, electrical, mechanical, electronic items, detergent, adhesives. Cleaning accessories, all tools, different types of Soil, flowering, vegetable & fruit plants, raised beds etc. They also provide home renovation services.

I honestly dislike going to this home depot and its only based on an experience that I had now over a year ago that they still have not fixed. My blinds I had them installed by them and they never finished the work and they never came back. As you can see this one doesn't have the cover and all of the blinds are missing the sides. And one of the blinds is already broken. Im serious I LOVE Home Depot but this one is horrible. I tried many times to speak to the manager while this was all still fresh and she never called me back or wanted to speak to me.

It was my first time coming to this Home Depot location, but I just couldn't wait any longer to post this negative review.I simply wanted to apply for a Home Depot consumer credit card for getting the deal of $25 off on my first purchase. A young lady named Maxiana at thier customer service desk was either unwilling to assist my credit card application process or having severe "comprehension disability" on the following wordings posted on Home Depot website:” Get the card, Save up to $100 today† on your qualifying purchase when you open a new The Home Depot Consumer Credit Card. Coupon is not combinable with other discounts. $25 off your first purchase of $25 up to $999† OR $100 off your first purchase of $1,000 or more.† "Because she kept saying "You have to spend at least $1,000 for the discount"!? Anyway, I reached out to another associate, Steve. Although Steve's attitude wasn't very nice either, but at least he gave me the "clearance" for applying the credit card. At the end of the application process, Maxiana gave me another BS lying of "you were not approved". However, the application status printout slip indicated "needs additional information; see customer service". Unpleasant arguments resumed again until I was able to speak with the assistant manager, Marcus. When I was complaining to Marcus about how rude and dishonest Maxiana was, Steve immediately started yelling to me for trying to cover up his incompetent coworker. I was very shocked and upset about that Marcus didn't stop Steve's unacceptable behavior.I was finally able to get the Home Depot card approval once they followed the procedure to call the credit card issuer, Citi bank. The customer service over the phone just needed my permission to close one of my existing Home Depot card account, because the numbers of Home Depot credit cards per person is limited at 3.Nowadays, so many consumer related service sectors are pretty much horrible. From dirty mechanics to shady contractors, they all have a common goal - "Rip off their customers". Relatively speaking, retail transactions are much more simple and straightforward. Therefore, I didn't expect that I have to be on-guard for possible unfair or discriminative (I'm Asian) encounter while shopping with a nationwide home improvement store.Once again, it was my worst shopping experience ever. I will definitely contact the Home Depot corporate office and post further updates later.

Ordered tile online. Free in store pick up was super easy in and put with no wait. Cant wait to put the tile in. I ordered one box to see if i liked it then ordered 8 more. Both times were super easy and convenient. Tile was online only so this was the best way to get 8 boxes

This is one positive thing about san Marcos! Alberto or "Burt" is somebody who always does such a good job. Very patient with me and my inability to use self checkout. I tried to do the home Depot survey but it kept asking too many personal questions and I just couldn't figure it out so this is the best I can do. I apologize..In closing I want to say SOMEBODY GIVE THAT MAN(ALBERTO) A RAISE!!

They delivered a dishwasher, couldn't get it to work, turns out they wired it incorrectly, there was likely nothing wrong with the dishwasher. They also accidently cut my ground wire when they installed it and they left it that way.They also didn't plug the 1/4 hot water to the dishwasher, nor did they plug my garbage disposal. This ended up flooding my kitchen and part of my living room.Gross incompetence, no resolution, spending my money elsewhere.UPDATE 7/12They're still billing me, I'm nearly finished paying off the dish washer and stove I never got -- they had no idea that they never delivered it, and were unaware of any incident that had taken place.Do yourself a favor, go anywhere but here.

I love HD. I could mosey around in there all day long.Most of the things I need are usually in stock, from power tools to plumbing parts, a variety of fasteners, cleaning supplies, and...I know some folks complain about the staff but I've never had an issue. While i may have to track someone down - they can't be in all places at one time - once I've found them they're always attentive, patient, and helpful, and some are even able to recommend solutions for specific issues.While it's not worth subtracting a star, there's one thing i really dislike and that's the impulse displays down the center aisle near the cash registers. For customers, they cause confusion and traffic jams while trying to navigate from one aisle to the next.

At the paint department tonight. Brought in a can that I brought from here a month ago and the associate at the paint counter Antonio S is giving me the worst time. Just trying to get another gallon of the same paint. Been at the paint department over 30 minutes and he’s still not getting it. This usually never happens. Please train your associates before putting them in paint! This could potentially be a waste of money and my time if I need to do over because he doesn’t know what he’s doing!Just left (finally)was overcharged and told would have to go to the return center at the front of the store. And the guy and returns didn’t know how to modify a price so he send me to the manager on duty. She was not helpful.Done!!!

I came to Home Depot waiting for my husband to get a rental and this grumpy old man came out saying I can’t block the way like I didn’t know I couldn’t park usually they tell u to back in to the rental you want but I guess not here and then the man came at me smoking all up in my car and I have my son with me he was so rude like how was I suppose to know the system was down next time at least be respectful and nice

First time I was shopping at the San Marco’s Home Depot, what a great garden area with assortment of garden pots.But the best was incredible service by Julie P( 82805)!!She notified me of deals being given that day as well as being cheerful, funny & overall greatest customer service ever.
