In our little city there are limited places to have a good fulfilling shopping experience in a super market. Ethnic markets offer limited variety and narrow choices. In San Fernando, this store is able to afford shoppers better choices and far friendlier staff than the competing market, which incidentally is far closer to me than this one. Their kitchen is wonderful enough, but oh their bakery!! There is no better treat than to arrive just as their hot from the oven bread is being rolled out.The one thing I wish they would bring back are the paper bags they used to provide to keep the hot rolls crispy (the plastic bags just aren't good)I have a dear friend who will actually wait the half hour in order to get the fresh rollsVallarta prices are higher than the competing market, but their produce and bakery are wonderful and seldom disappoint.

Had an interesting experience regarding face-masks and or lack there availability for customers. Anyhow called corporate and addressed my concerns and to my surprise one of the corporate team member named JOANNA took notes and assured me that it would be handled appropriately. I was surprised at the time and attention she took to make sure everything was handled and I encourage everyone out there to keep shopping here and make this the number one Vallarta to go to! Thank you to all the wonderful staff and hope you all have a merry Christmas and a happy new year!

This market is part of a popular market with a Latin twist. They always have good fruits and vegetables and fair prices and a selection of sale items that should make you happy. Lots of free parking and freeway close in Mission Hills.

Great for fruit and veggies. Some cashier are ok some are fast other should not be so slow. Self check out is good if you have a few things. But they won't sale you alcohol there you have to wait in line at the other register.

They have someone at the door the first hour to let only seniors come in. I plan to do all my shopping there. Plus the meats are great. The produce is ok. I love the freshly made corn tortillas and tamales.

Small place the thing that I notice is the size of there products like shampoo etc... I get the same size at Walmart and it's cheaper with bigger sizes. Vallarta is convenient but if u have time gust go to a bigger store.

THEY HAVE GOOD SERVICE AND MOST OF THE HOT FOOD IS GOOD BUT SOME ARE EXTRA GREASY. ESPECIALLY THE TAMALES. OTHER THAN THAT PRODUCE IS FRESH AND THEY STAFF IS PRETTY NICE AND HELPFUL.

It's okay getting more expensive now especially produce when it's not the best quality so if im paying the same price as vons or Ralph's then might as well go there for better quality. But I do love how they at least carry yerba mate

I've tried asada burrito, caldo de res y pollo and the hot refried beans are good. But one time I tried some chicken tacos damm nasty hard chicken and the taste like puré lemon hit or miss like I said

My experience is that the delicatessen person is unable to communicate in English. What I ordered was good but it was very different from what I ordered. I tried to ask about the daily special and she could not understand the question. I really want to try ordering food again but I am afraid to, I am afraid that they won't understand me. I am especially concerned that I might get something (Chili) hot that I can't eat.

When did you guys stop bagging the groceries? Alondra was very mad and offended when I asked her to bag them. Gave me all kinds of attitude. The older lady two days before was bagging as she was scanning. Doesn’t make sense.Get it together.

Would not recommend to order from hot food , order a Simple torta waited 10 Minutes then ask the lady serving the food and she just realise she didn't get that ticket printed on her machine. So then now she starts to make it thou at the same time starts preparing like 20 tacos , but and decides to finish the Tacos first then once she's done tells the other person on the Register if she can make the Torta instead, keep me waiting 25 minutes in Total so i Cancel my order, keep in mind when i had Enter there was only one lady ahead of me on the line who order her food and they serve her correctly, some people just don't really wanna work i guess!!

Went in for a caldo de res and got a large and they ended up giving me pretty much broth with one meat, and the rice they gave literally so little was pretty much for a toddler. 17 dollars later so much for enjoying it. What a rip off

My experience at this Vallarta was terrible very awful customer service. My disabled mother and I went to buy a few groceries and while in the store by the meat department the handicap chair got stuck on the sign up above and it fell and almost landed on my mother. We asked the gentleman that worked in the meat department to get the cart unstuck he ignored us and just came around to pick up the sign that almost fell on my mother. Also they did not allow my mother who couldn’t walk well to take the handicap chair out so she can put her groceries in the car. And my mother was waiting by the entrance and the gentleman who said he’s a manager told my mother she had to move out of the way. Instead of offering to bring her a cart that is allowed outside.

Food - mediocre, staff some good, but apparently one manager goes over the top with her employees. Screams at them in front of clients - isn't that something to be reported to human resources?? No to mention very unprofessional. Some one needs to talk to this Martha manager, so one of the cashier calls her. I wouldn't support a store with this type of management.

Senior citizens, be aware !Make sure you check your cash, when paying, and when receiving your change.My mother was shorted $16.00I Spoke to the manager, while cashier insisted she gave the change to my mother.This is not the first time this happens.
