We were very excited to add a kitten to our family. We brought two young children and drove 35 minutes. They would not let us see the kittens or even a photo. Meanwhile another customer was in the room with the cats. This is not the first time they have been rude while we visited the store and I will be choosing to not to shop here and encourage you to do the same.

Alex is an amazing young person - they helped me and my friend today with our lost pet posters and offered to help hang some up outside of work. It legitimately made my friend I tear up and cry after we left. We adored them and will definitely be coming back and trying to get everything we need from there instead of any corporate pet store (side eye at petco, they don’t let people put up lost pet flyers) It seriously made us feel like there are some good people in the world :,) thank you Alex !!!!!!!

Stood in the store for almost 30 minutes trying to get someone to help my family and I. Came in to discuss adopting a cat, but each time we tried to ask for help she walked by us without eye contact or even once asking if we needed help.I hope all the animals find homes for their sake, but what an insanely odd and bad experience.

Pet Food Cottage has a broad selection of items, all nicely displayed and easily accessible, and the store is very clean as well; the owner and staff clearly care about the client, and the quality of their experience. Pet Food cottage is a long established, long standing thread in the local fabric of San Anselmo, and reminds us all about just why we love our town so much, it's a special place with special people. I strongly suggest you spend your hard earned money at the Pet Food Cottage for all of your pet needs; you will be well served, and appreciated as a customer and friend, I guarantee it. D.

There are a handful of very important differences between Pet Cottage and the "Big Box Pet Supply" companies. #1: They stock a truly excellent selection of foods - from high end to inexpensive, and some of the very best of these can be found no where else. #2: They know their products, and can make informed and extremely helpful recommendations if you tell them what your pet needs, and what your experiences have been with other foods. They will steer you to EXACTLY the right food for your pet and/or your issue. And #3: These are lovely people. They do kitten rescue - have done so for years, they have pets of their own - many of whom are "special needs," etc. They have Big Hearts. You will Love this place.

Very friendly place! They sometimes have kittens for adoption! They have a lot of great products here, really high quality goods and also more affordable things. They have a store cat who is super affectionate and fun to pet and play with.This is my favorite pet store, I hope you like it too!

Knowledgeable staff, fantastic selection of high quality foods, fun chew treats, toys, and impulse items for those of us who love to pamper our dogs and feed them for longevity and health. Best of all, most dog foods (probably cat, too, but I didn’t look) have samples available so you can try before you commit the hefty chunk of change that most of the foods command. This store is not for the light of wallet.

I went in this weekend to buy dog food and “doggie ice cream “ yes people it does exist and was greeted by a very sour employee. I’m not sure what was going on in her life but honey you’re way too young to be so bitter!! I won’t go back. Oh BTW they don’t sell special ice cream for dogs 🐶

I went in with my latino boyfriend we were going to adopt a kitten, there was an older woman working who completely ignored us, my boyfriend asked to see the kittens she wouldn't let us see them, mind you a customer just exited the room where the cats were and was filling out paperwork. We left and I was insulted because the lady was discriminating against my boyfriend. I will not be going back!
