I went there this morning and bought two products and upon self-checkout, I used my debit card to get cash back. Well, I had a faulty moment when I left the store without taking my cash back from the self checkout register. I later realized this and called the store this evening with the slim chance hope that the cash I left may have been turned in by an honest customer or held by the store after an employee noticed it. To my amazement, a woman I talked to on the phone asked me a few questions to confirm my transaction and stated she believes she had my cash and to come into customer service with my receipt. Everything was fantastic up to the point that I finally got to the store later that evening to retrieve my funds. I spoke to some older blonde woman with either a nose ring or lip ring that told me that “customer service was closed” and asked me who I talked to on the phone earlier. When I told her I couldn’t remember the woman’s name, she felt the need to try to lecture me on how I should’ve got her name … THEN, walked toward the customer service register and came back with my cash. I handed her my receipt and while looking at my receipt, she handed me my cash like she was upset about the whole thing… and when she saw the annoyed look on my face, she instantly changed her demeanor and tone like she knew she probably shouldn’t be treating customers that way…. I WANTED to relay my thanks and appreciation to the store and to whoever the honest person was that turned in the cash I left behind, but after my encounter with this employee, I was instantly disappointed and embarrassed for the store and just wanted to leave. Very unprofessional and borderline pathetic the way she was acting, especially when it was obvious that she knew why I was there in the first place. Other than her though, seems like a great store. And if whoever found and turned in the cash I left behind is reading this, THANK YOU for your honesty!

Meat departments looks very clean and everything looks so fresh and appetizing. Great job to whoever was running the meat department Aug 6 at 4:30 pm. Meat tastes great and is always perfect.

Love this Safeway it is amazing. They have amazing service. The store is nice and cleanAnd they always have great selections just like the other Safeways I usually go to in Santa Rosa 🌹♥️

Nice cashiers but lazy management. They "forget" to remove the sale prices, often several days past the end of the sale, so when you reach the counter, the price rings up much higher than expected. It's the law in California that the posted price is the price you pay, but then you have to stand in line a long time and wait for customer service to refund the overcharges. This happens so often that I am beginning to think that its intentional!

I rented out a Rug Doctor - there was no issue until the return, I had called 4 hours earlier and asked if it was any problem regarding me being past the 24 hour mark by about 10-15 minutes. The employee who's name I did not ask for, nor which was relayed to me, said it was no problem. Come to find out, Julia at customer service still charged me a late fee and asked who I spoke to on the phone. When I couldn't recall, she said there was nothing she could do as I was out of the time-frame. This was very dissatisfying and disappointing.

I usually love this store. Why I gave it 5 stars I go here a lot and know a lot of the employees and they are all nice...however my review has changed since today I got a call from the pharmacy and I'm sorry the lady was so rude. She should not work with people at all. Disgusting the way she demanded info when I couldn't even understand where she was calling from because ahe talked so fast and loud. And when i asked she refused to tell me. As a retail expierence manager I would never allow my employees to talk to people this way. I understand people have bad days but there is no excuse to be rude to me when you called me in the first place. She should be required to take more training for customer service skills because has absolutly none.

Today I was reminded why I don’t shop here. This is the most unprofessional grocery establishment I’ve ever visited. We were on our way to my family’s home for Christmas dinner and decided to stop to get my parents flowers and a bottle of wine for hosting. Knowing other stores were closed, this Safeway was our only option. My husband and my 3 young sons stayed in the car while I asked my exchange student from Italy to come inside and help me. She’s 17, barely speaks English and isn’t an American citizen. The extremely rude cashier asked for her ID and I explained she’s my exchange daughter. They refused to sell me the wine because my exchange student could not furnish an ID. I said fine and to put it back, and she proceeded to call the manager to reiterate what she had already told me. These ladies were on such a high horse with their “policies”. Had I walked in with any of my young kids instead, it would not have been an issue.

This Safeway store in Rohnert Park is open 24/7. That makes it the absolute best. They have everything you need, freshly baked bread to fresh produce, great parking and located centrally. The staff are very helpful and grab a Starbucks coffee while you shop.

Tanya in the liquor department went out of her way to get want I wanted. She has been trying to get certain bottles that typically go to other stores. Her determination paid off and my bottles finally came in. She is the best.

I love Safeway. But today I was treated so badly by a women employee working in the deli/hot food that I wanted to speak with a manager. She should not work with the public if she's going to bring her bad attitude and treat the customers like we're putting her out. I came in to the store happy and left feeling violated. She should be spock to or fired so she can do something that makes her happy. Shame on her for treating customers so poorly.Gina Olibas

Deli was out of dark fried chicken pieces. I was told more would be ready in 17 minutes. Finished my shopping, paid, and took stuff back to my car. Went back inside and went to the Deli. I asked for eight pieces of dark fried chicken. The lady went into the back and out of sight, she put chicken into a container. The label on the container was for eight pieces of dark fried chicken. In the container, when I got home, there were two drumsticks, two thighs, one breast, and three wings. I not only got cheated on the dark chicken, I was even cheated if I had asked for the regular eight pieces of fried chicken!

Clean store with helpful staff. The lines were very long, seemed to be short staffed on cashiers although there were more employees stocking around the store. The customers were very patient and that says a lot about the people that shop there.

I order my groceries through Safeway and then I drive down and pickup my oder. It is a great way for a senior to shop. It costs $90 a year for this service, but I love it. I get an order on average of once a week. It's only 3 miles from my place, so gas cost is very low and it saves me a lot of time. Oh, and their service is great and the people are nice.

Worst customer service around, they do not have enough staff, no excuse for having one checker open at 10:00AM on a Saturday with 8 people backed up in the aisle. This happens all the time, plus usually half the self check outs are out of order. I wish their customer service was better and a lot of their shelves are empty. I do like how they offer college student discounts, 5%, make sure to bring your SSU ID and they will give you a discount card which you can attach to your key chain.

I prefer to shop at Safeway over anywhere else sometimes their prices are a little high but whenever I go to bargain stores there's never enough cashiers which is why their prices are cheaper but sometimes I spend a lot of time in line there & for me time is money. I gave Safeway four stars because I'm a little tired of the buy four in order to get the certain price deal I don't mind buying 2 for a certain price or buy-one-get-one-free but I draw the line at buying four

I have a couple favorite people there. #1 Sabrina, she is GREAT. The employees are happy to help and don't give you the feeling that you're bothering them. The only suggestion would be, work on the produce staff. They don't really look happy or even want to be there . I feel worried even asking a question.

I bought a rotisserie chicken a couple of days ago for my sister-in-law. The next day when she started to use it to make a meal, she found it full of poultry worms. Very disgusting to say the least. I’ll never buy another chicken from Safeway.

I went into the store, I ran into this wonder people.Asked if anyone found a wallet, the went in the office and looked and came out with it. It's OK. But the night stock manager in the rohnert park store very rude and aggressive. She yells out excuss me while she nearly piles boxes on supplies on your feet. She yells at the other stockers too. She is unfriendly. Also safeway allows thieves to steal their products without trying to stop them. They have actually fired a couple employees for trying to do so. Also there is no good music on their speakers. I Hate going to this store but my second half likes the store.

the worst Safeway in sonoma county. deli counter is always rude and doesn't want to help anyone, most unfriendly staff I've ever seen. and Jeff a cashier won't stop whistling at my daughter and my wife every time he's our checker. gross rude and unprofessional behavior all around, will not be returning. this store needs an overhaul from top to bottom
