I am nearly 80 yrs old, trying to recover from a heart attack, and today I was trying to be a repeat customer here. That didn't happen. My appt for my 2 dogs was at 12:30.. I was told(when making appt on phone) to be there 15 minutes early. I was, and was told by Gabby that "you're too early, come back in 15-20 minutes". We waited in my car since there's no place to sit and my energy level is not normal yet. At 12:30 we went back and was told by a groomer that I'd have to wait still. I told her this was my 2nd time trying to ck in, theres no place to sit and...she suddenly turned very hostile saying, "...this place could give ME a heart attack, it's very stressful, and I think you're the type that would call 20 minutes after you drop your dog off to see if it's done! I won't be grooming your dog today!" I was so shocked!! All I could utter was that she would never be grooming my dogs. I asked for her name, she refused. The clerk told me it is Amy. I am so flabbergasted at how disrespectful and rude this person was to me. I would NEVER allow her to touch my dogs...she's not to be trusted! I asked for manager, she was at lunch. I cried all the way home... my poor pups need a bath.

I dropped my dog off and my husband picked him up. When he got home he said it was $160 (including tip) which is $30 more than normal. I looked at the receipt and he was charge extra for a shave. He has consistently been going every 4-6 weeks for a groom and we have never had this extra charge. We also had a different groomer than usual. Very disappointed

Own our own business and understand the importance of customer service. Don’t book with Amy. Had an appointment scheduled online for later in the afternoon with any groomer. I received a call the day before my appointment asking to change my appointment to 9. I told them I could do 9:30 but would try and get him there earlier. I arrived at Petco at 9:15. The groomer Amy’s 9 am appointment was late and she refused to check me in 15 min early. Then she proceeded to tell me she didn’t feel comfortable grooming my dog. They refused my service. DO NOT BOOK WITH AMY. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. Grooming manager was not there and store manager couldn’t help.

Made an online appointment for my dog to be groomed. Petco canceled the appointment. Seems since my dog is over 10 years old and I did not bring permission slip from my vet that he can not be groomed. Visiting California from 2700 miles away and just thought it would be nice to have dog groomed. I never imagined there would be age discrimination in the dog world. There should have been a disclaimer when booking about needs for senior dogs to have a letter from the vet. There was note requiring rabies documentation, which I do have. Never again, Petco!

Amy always does a great job! She is very cordial and cares for our dogs. We brought her our other family dog this time which was not originally expected and she was very attentive. We certainly recommend the services at this Petco. Amy sets a great standard and has the right values.

This was my first time bringing my adopted dog to a groomer and I was admittedly anxious about leaving him. The intake process and the questions they took the time to ask made me feel comfortable that he was in good hands. I returned just before the groomer had finished, and I could see through the window that she was being gentle and sweet to my dog, which was a great relief. She did a wonderful job and I'm sure I'll be back.

Gabby returned my call within a few hours to set appointments for my 3 chihuahuas to get their nails trimmed the same day. She was amazing. She got all of their nails super short, which hardly ever happens. Gabby was awesome.
