Review is for the saltwater fish dept. Every time I visit hoping for it to be different I come in to find extremely sick fish corals and anenomes. Some are even to small to be shipped or sold. If your looking for quality fish it's not from here. Would love to see the quality go up but not holding my breath.

I come here minimum 2-3 times weekly to look over the fish section I spend alot of money here. I can never leave without buying a fish or some sort of animal supply. I do buy other things in different sections while I'm here but I would not come here if I was not able to special order fish or Kelli was not the aquatic specialist. I enjoy that I am able to special order fish here, I love the senior aquatic specialist Kelli, she is the only person who knows what they are doing in the aquatic section. I only come in when shes working because everytime I come in and shes not there, none of the other employees can offer me the correct help and provide me with answers to simple questions on how to care for a fish that is for sale in the store. Kelli is the only one in the store that actually has knowledge about fish and the aquatic section, when she is not working, the fish area is a mess. she is the only one who keeps it clean and presentable. This girl really needs a raise or something because she is a very large asset to the aquatic section. It gets tiring going in there and not being helped accordingly because none of your other employees can manage the aquatic section or even answer a simple question A+++ TO KELLI petco finally hired someone who knows what they are doing ♡

WOW If I was able to give less stars i would. So Ive had king snake for several years and of course it eats mice. So I go in expecting to get a feeder mouse. my usual store (all pet feed and tac) was closed. so not only were they unable to sell me a mouse but the lady laughed at me (and called her manager making a huge deal) when I merely suggested buying a similar rodent just to get my pet something to eat. Guess not. Very unhappy

Again the Lugoinia Ave store fails. The supervisor Josh (this is the second problem with him), wouldn't do anything and the groomers are horrible. Scheduled an appt for my dogs a week ago, go to take them in and people are assaulting my dogs, the one groomer is taking forever to check people in, customers are cutting in line. Josh is worthless and cannot control his store. I will never take my pets back to your horrible store again.

I rude thin girl with glasses told me she wouldn't sale me a crested gecko without proper heat and they like it really hot, so I went home and did some study ,They are killing those geckos in there You keep a crested gecko in the 70s not really really hot like she said, So I went back and RESCUED this gecko he was kinda lethargic for a week but with the correct temperature he has really grown and is active ,also Petco stop selling your cookies in the front that gives dogs dierea nutmeg is toxic to dogs Why do the cookies smell like nutmeg Haha Where the pets come first wow do some research where do you guys get your information? Also crested geckos like a tall terrium with plants and need to be misted Your killing them in there your going to give them brain damage!

Terrible customer service. Needed assistance for 50 minutes, went to the register to inquire, the cashier had zero idea about their products or where to find them. The manager was sitting on a stool near where I was when I asked for help and sat on her but the ENTIRE time. She was asked to help me and said she um might have seen it, but didn't offer to help.They offered to help me order something online.Shut the store down and let me order it then.

Came in to buy my son a hermit crab for his bday and i asked to be helped and a thin younger gal wearing glasses came and she asked me if i was gonna look at the crabs or purchase , i said both. Then i was unsure what kind of water to give the crab n i said i had a question and she looked and me and said something while walking away . No smile to her face or anything ,that is not customer service at all . Never again will i go there and i sure will not recommend this place eaither.

Worst experience ever for my 5 month old mini schnauzer. Booked a grooming appointment with him standing there and them seeing him, went back with him a week later for his appointment and they began taking him toward the back when an older heavyset woman with blonde hair stopped the groomer and I was told they couldn't see him because his coat was "too matted" I comb and brush him everyday. Called and took him in to another groomer where he was bathed and trimmed properly (not matted) didn't receive any shaving. If you're too lazy and winded to do your job then maybe grooming isn't for you. Be a professional food tester instead. #sorrynotsorry.
