Town and country is a wonderful independent grocery store. They still bag your groceries for you and take your groceries to your car. If you want. They are willing to order unique product per request. Most of the produce is local. While the variety is sometimes limited, meaning they only have six different kinds of apples available, there is a wide selection to choose from. There is a large section of ethnic food, mostly Asian and Hispanic. Prices are good and give an all-around lower grocery costs than other local stores.

I Am a Disabled woman who is young and has a Carry a Cane for Health issues I used to love this place back in the day Now I can't stand going here all I get is (DISCRIMINATION) Looks followed all over the Store It should not have to be like this when you go for your groceries U should be shopping 🛒 in Peace I'm glad to see people speaking up about similar Issues Good luck shopping here 👍🙏

Wonderful place to shop because they been there for many years and I've been shopping there for a long time since I was a kid. Not only that but they give back to the community as well by hiring many young kids, donating food to many to non profit organizations, assist in fund-raising for high schools students and many other organizations or personal I failed to mention.

If you hate self service machines and nice staff, shop here. They always have tons of checkers compared to other stores in town. They could be called Xpress Grocery...One suggestion...Please carry "Top Ramen"brand, my kids will only eat that one.. :)

I like T&C whenever I need Asian condiments and the variety is always plentiful. Some of their products can be a little pricey so I make it my go to market for just these specific items. The staff are always friendly and parking is plentiful. I can gas up as well with the nearby gas pumps. An easy to get in and out, no gridlock in the parking lot and plenty of space between cars.

They have some stuff with good prices but some items are pricey. The baking isle is the best! Best part, you rarely ever have to wait in line!!!! If there's a line it's usually 1 person ahead of you! Only place in town that has most of their check stands open.

If you have a service animal, in my case a small dog, do not shop here!!! Their sign on the entrance clearly indicates that service animals are permitted. My experience was horrible and harassing. I was repeatedly approached by workers telling me that dogs are not allowed in the store. Within my 20 minutes of shopping the owner approached me and demanded to know what service my dog was providing me. I explained to her that my dog is a service animal and I am his handler and her harassing and demanding questions was violating my confidentiality. I felt as though she was absolutely clueless on the service aminal laws and wasted my time explaining them to her. Service animal laws are protected and backed by federal law in all 50 states. Shame on this establishment for harassing customers with disabilities and service animals. I have never had such a horrible experience. Idiotic behavior and lacks customer service and professionalism. It's shocking that the owner and the staff are able to get away with such treatment towards disabled people and their service animals. I or my family will not shop at this location any longer. Do not attempt to shop here in comfort. Spend your money elsewhere!!! I can not say enough on how terrible of a treatment I experienced. Zero stars and they're lucky someone has yet to sue them for such harassing actions.

Staff are super nice. Nice selection of ethnic foods, meat, produce, and deli items. A little on the pricey side for the "center shelves," but aren't all non-big box stores? A great choice for shopping for a planned or dinner -- they will have everything you need. BIG PLUS--they are going solar!

Shopping here is a pleasure and that feeling like you're going back in time with the nostalgia of the building. Here you don't feel confined like the other stores where you feel cramped and people constantly running into you and blocking you at the checkout. They have mostly everything I need and always make this a one-stop shopping. Good people run this business and hopefully no large corporate giants try to take it over and ruin it for us.

Great place to shop...they have some items that other don't carry for example cleaning brushes... Which helped me in detailing vehicles...they meet customers needs as best as they can... But the bread rolls they make inhouse are good and they need to make more because if you go like after 7 or 8 usually gone...they do have selection of ice creams but they need to have more cakes of all sorts and most of all the entire market from the inside needs relocate their item and ails basically remodel so it looks if your in a brand-new market.. like smart and final is. Good luck with the remodeling and enjoy your shoping

Love this store they have many of the snacks that we eat, at the quantity we need, We have shipped here for many years, my kids have many fond memories at this neighborhood grocery store. They really care about their customers, whenever there was a problem I was always met with a concered individual/employee that knew how to remedy the situation 2 without any issues. really love professionals that conduct great business, and professional correct business practices. 👍👍

Town & Country Market is the only store in Porterville that has all the checkout counters open for customers they also have great employees that will help you with your groceries and take them out to your car and unload them for you this is the only place in town that has great quality service that I recommend

New mom here! Went in to grocery shop thinking I could put this crazy kid in the cart like a big boy and NOPE! Had to carry him. Not only did some one assist me grabbing my things but also taking my bagged items out to my car and putting them in my trunk. Very greaful for their help today. This place sets the standard for how a grocery store should operate. Great hometown grocery store

We have shopped at Town and Country over 50 years. Great prices. They bag and take your groceries to the car! If you are looking for something special they do their best to find it. Their oriental and Mexican aisles are exceptional.
