As the neighboring Walmart is not a Supercenter, I stopped over here this evening for something to enjoy for dessert before turning in for the night. I found it in spades. This is a huge supermarket and that's their focus, undistracted by electronics or automotive or toys. This is a grocery store, first and foremost.Produce, dairy, meats, household cleaning, beer and deli. Lots and lots of food.I thought the prices were excellent. Could the place be a little less "warehouse"? Sure, but if you want to pay more then there are stores that will give you a smoother/brighter/cleaner shopping experience. I wanted inexpensive and found it.

I am giving 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the employees who help me find what I am looking for: 1. I asked a staff where I can find Blueberries ✅️ 2. I asked another staff I believe his name is Rick where I can find the weight/scale ✅️ I asked Rick where I can find the corn tortillas ✅️ 3. I asked another staff where I can find the bread he said aisle 10 ✅️. I asked another staff where I can find the price for bread that didn't have the price ✅️ there were two white loaf breads left and he offered to check the back to see if there were anymore ✅️. I went to the checkout lanes and I noticed a checkout with one customer and asked the staff if it was still open ✅️. I was happy with the knowledge of each staff member that helped me. The end is puzzling. The cashier did not say anything but she walked around to my shopping cart and I thought she was going to help me bag my items. She didn't. She then walked back to the register. She gave me the total and I was amazed that I spent under $20.00. I asked her for a receipt. After I purchased my items, the items are at the end of the conveyor belt with one empty plastic bag. As I walk to my items, the customer behind me has their items on the other side and as he was walking by me his shopping cart end up crashing into my cart and then I feel rushed having to put all my items into one plastic bag and then into my shopping cart because the cashier can't scan the other customers items until my stuff is cleared. Basically, this grocery store does not have any baggers. The customers are the baggers. The next time I come, and after looking at my receipt, I will make sure I weigh the Apples and I will bring my headphones so that I have fun music to listen to for me to bag my own items.

You can depend onit if other places are closed. They are 24/7 I love going here for a midnight snack or meal😂. Their prices are almost always good.They're no longer 24/7 ;-;

(Edit) have had a bad experience but you guys are opened the latest and that caters to our family.. Thank youI usually love food for less but this was horrible. Literally grocery shopped whatever I needed, they only had one or two lanes open and the line went all the way back down along the fresh meat. Got halfway through the line for them to announce they’re not accepting cards. I understand when a system messes up but to have people waiting so long because you only have minimum check out lanes is just bad management.

The prices charged were different than on shelf marked price and the cashier said it wasn't her department. The manager in that department wasn't there today! No one could refund me my money even after talking with 3 personel because it wasn't their department.

Upon entry you will be greeted with a big aisle of sodas and then turn the corner for the vegetables. Plenty of other items with wider spaces to maneuver through. Not bad with the shopping experience each time I go there to shop. This place is second to none with grocery shopping in town.

I've been shopping here late at night with my friend for years. Very clean and quiet. The store is huge, great selection, decent prices.The employees are extra nice and always know where everything is, every time. The late hours are a blessing in a small town. Back to 24 hours after CoVid19. Thanks.

Loss prevention harasses innocent shoppers. They make you feel like a criminal for simply browsing. No thanks I prefer grocery shopping in peace. Avoid this horribly run store at all costs

The first time I've been kicked out of a Food4less for having my small dog on a bed in the kid part of the kart.... I would venture to say with confidence that a dog is not going to do its business in the kart unlike a small child....2 stars to this doggy hating location, never had a problem at any other location...🤬

Store is always clean, well stocked, helpful employees. I like to go in the early morning when they have a mark down basket. Maybe a box was sliced opened accidentally or too many to stock-they reduce the price, great finds

Very convenient - Open 24hrs and are generally cheaper when it comes to "the staples": eggs, milk, and cheese. Very friendly staff - everyone seems genuinely interested in your shopping experience. But, if you are looking for a quick trip (only need a couple of items) and they happen to be slammed, you'll likely be waiting in line for a while.

Store seems to always be stocked very well with a good variety of products . Pricings on almost all products are fair . Afternoons and early evenings seems to be the busiest part of a day . A few cashiers I feel need better customer care services.

I can honestly say I like shopping here for misc items or items I need to replenish in-between our monthly WinCo trip. Prices vary in expense. There are deals throughout the store if you're willing to comb the aisles.

There's not too many places to get groceries in Porterville. Food 4 Less has pretty much everything you need to get in one trip. Employees are very courteous and the store is usually pretty clean (except when thay have their truckload bonanza sales). Still, never had any issues and they have some really good deals on certain days of the week. After shopping there constantly, you can almost pinpoint the exact same dates without even trying.

Prices are high and Security was called on the intercom for simply browsing , ridiculous I’ll take my business to Save Mart or ALDIs instead the loss prevention team needs to be fired and replaced

The prices are affordable! I would pick this store over Walmart or Target anyday. The store is well stocked and the check out time is acceptable. The workers are kind and hardworking it seems.For a busy schedule, this store fits my life.

Food 4 Less has always been a good store to shop at neat,clean and friendly employees. Only down thing is you have to bag your own groceries... So i shop more at Town and Country Super Market for that reason.. I like that .

Is a very unsafe store due to two inresponsible eployees driving a forklift around the isles very fas like if there was no customers around thinking that hunking twice makes their stupidity ok and safe. I brought it to the cashier attention but I did not get a responce out of her . everything tells me that management is ok with that since they were doing it in front of the customer service desk and everybody. I will not go back to the store since I dont like any or want any machine of that size near my kids

Only thing about this place is the meat basicly cost the same any where, High. The day before I went i called food 4 lees and asked the store managment if there was a half off of everything. My impression was yes their was a sale for everything half off. When i was about to check out with some food items, i asked again he said only a few item's. I should have bought a few other items from Walmart instead. I know i saved around $5 dollars.

Decent prices. The only produce I've had trouble with is apples. Everything else is same quality as else where. Now the Only place in town I can find cream with out carrageenan added in. (Producers natural in white and tan carton)

Of the different Food-4-Less stores I have shopped, this one is by FAR the Cleanest, Well Stocked and the Most Nicest People you would ever want to meet! I used to travel 160 miles round trip just to shop at this store.

Their 99 cent each cantaloupes are delicious and you can't beat the price! Corn on a cob not so good. Nectarines fantastic! Love to look for bargains!

Generally I can get "in and out" quickly depending on what time I go. I did NOT appreciate the employees blocking the isles with the forklifts so nobody could "get through". I'm also nervous about stacking pallets of product so high from isle to isle. We live in California. An earthquake could happen at any time. If it does, there will be casualties there easily.

They have most products. I dislike that they don't have holiday creamers until a few days before the actual holiday. Once October comes around, I'd like to see pumpkin spice creamer for my coffee!
