Nice lake with snow , to have fun in snow , best part it's free. There good enough parking as well. Good place if you want to play in snow , get ur own sledge , tubs and have fun. It's not for those looking for professional place

Nice launch ramp, free day use parking, and restrooms with flush toilets all next to the marina. Pinecrest lake and campgrounds are very beautiful. Fantastic place to kayak on a weekday in non peak season, lake gets quite busy during peak of summer. There is also a general store and restaurant across from the campground. Great hiking trail up to Cleo’s Bath, 7 miles round trip from the day use lot.

I would not rent a pontoon or party boat from here. They are not safe, they do not have a ladder on the boat so you can't get back into the boat from the water unless someone pulls you back on or you have a lot of upper body strength from doing pull and push ups. The so called step on the back of the boat showed to us is at eye level if you are in the water and made of sharp metal edges, none of it extends down even to the level of the water let alone underwater to allow you to climb up. A member of our group was stuck in the water and sustained cuts and bruises all over their body from trying to get back into the boat. They only made it back into the boat when 2 men were able to pull them on board. The young man in charge of rentals was condescending and rude when showing us the boat and when we went back for a ladder, he said they don't have ladders on the boats because people kept losing them so they don't bother with them anymore. Nowhere was this mentioned ahead of time that there was no way to safely get back on the boat, what could be done if someone had an emergency in the water? The flippant attitude of the staff coupled with a serious safety issue makes this a poor rental experience. Bring your own ladder and be aware of the danger if you choose to rent from them.

I'm here visiting from Houston. So, I'm not used to this scenery. It's absolutely beautiful! Subhanallah! There wasn't that much water or a frozen lake. (But there was snow!!) However, I visited in December and was told that there would be more snow and a frozen lake to walk on in March.Tips:1.) Have SNOW gloves and boots!I didn't know there were different clothes for snow and for the cold. Winter gloves and snow gloves are not the same. This may be common sense to most people, but I didn't know that.2.) Have puffer jacket!Winter coats get wet when you roll around (or fall) in the snow. The kids especially need puffer jackets so they can stay dry and warm.3.) Plan to visit in March for the perfect Winter experience. If you can plan accordingly then try to visit the lake in March. The day will be long and sunny so you can enjoy the snow much more.Overall, you should definitely visit whenever you can. Mashallah it's beautiful ♥️

It’s a bit busy these days but nothing beats a hike around the lake. You can’t beat the views.

Great place to rent a boat, paddle boat, kayak, or party boat. 1/2 days or full day rentals available but plan early! Usually have tons of aluminum boats for rent but definitely contact them ahead of time to see what's available for the day. Good customer service and prices are affordable for beautiful views that Pinrcrest Lake has to offer.

We took the 4 mile hike around the lake and it was an amazing day. Next time we are hiking back to cleos bath. It is a little more challenging hike but well worth it.

The lake is beautiful. Been coming up here 60+ yrs. It's just heaven on earth to me. There's something for everyone. WARNING! Come early. If you don't want to walk a mile, best to be here before 9am. SERIOUSLY. Right now, with the covid-19, they're limiting only 25% capacity. & it goes quick. Little heads up.

Would have been five stars but for the fact there are NO LADDERS OR ANCHORS on the boats. We rented a party boat and had no way to get off if we went in the water. The kids had a blast but the adults were like hostages. We even went back to ask why and were told that the owner won't provide them!! ( The staff was great though) So, go, but bring a ladder and/or anchor !!

Get there early, it fills quickly and parking is limited. Lots of clearly defined signs that say no dogs on the beach but there are lots of dogs on the beach regardless. The water is nice and the scenery is beautiful.

This is one of my favorite parks to go to. I'm from the Central Valley so making an effort to travel up North definitely means that I love this park. They have clean bathrooms, they have grills, they have benches, they allow the dogs there, most of the time there's Rangers walking around so there are no wild crazy animals except for squirrels and maybe a raccoon. I really love this park! The only thing is that it does get packed really easy so getting a spot could be hard. Plus they have a food shack and the ice cream is to die for!

Definitely one of the most beautiful places to go camping or spend the day scenery is beautiful the people are all very nice however their snack bars are a little overpriced I think they would sell a lot more if they came down in price but that's just one opinion other than that would highly recommend it

My family and I love this Lake. The views are gorgeous. They have great hiking trails and boat rentals. Great for fishing, swimming or just relaxing under the sun. They also have an outdoor theater that is amazing.

Always a great place to visit, the fishing is always fun, and the local store owners are always nice, there are a lot of other activities you can do, such as swimming, kayaking, hiking, and bird watching if you are lucky you could spot the local bald eagle that flys over the lake.

The area is beautiful and serene, unfortunately over the years it has become overcrowded, full of trashy people and hard to park. Its sad to see since I have been coming here since the 80's.

I have never had problems with my reservations. Party boats need to be reserved two months in advance. Plenty of paddle boats, kayaks and small motorized boats.
