High prices, and got sold out of date candy. When I opened the box (same day they were bought) of raisinets and tried a couple, they tasted funky. So I checked the expiration date, they were half a year out of date! For the very high prices they have I would expect to have unexpired food.

Love my my local market Kennedy meadows beef good quality snacks. Cost more then town but cheaper then driving down the hill. Awesome local owners!

Amazing new store! I’m beyond impressed with how they’re redoing the store. Wider aisles, WAY better products, more organized, brighter. I’m always slightly on edge going to our cabin in Pinecrest because my 2 year old has a peanut allergy and I’m worried we’ll need to buy extra food while we’re up here, and not know if it’s safe for him (can’t be processed on the same equipment as peanuts). Anyway, this store is stocked with SUCH good groceries, I had absolutely no problem finding safe choices for him. The one I was most excited about was the Strauss creamery ice cream (basically the only safe ice cream for peanut allergy folks). They also have a great wine selection, charcuterie, way better produce, and just so many good things. I’m so happy for the new changes - thank you!

New Owners, They ruined the store. Boycotting it from now on! Took out all the charm of the store, inflated prices and rude employees. Just not what this area needs. Truly sad :-(

New ownership/management is fantastic. Don’t get me wrong- I’ll miss Dan and the rest of the old guard. The new crew and the remodel are great, fresh, clean, and organized. Kelly is the happiest, brightest new face in Pinecrest:)

This work for this company some 25 years ago or so awesome family needs to own it but the new owners of the general store have made a great improvements and atmosphere is a whole lot nicer than it was before

The store has reopened, and it is very clean, organized and nicely laid out, and, they have dog treats if you are waiting outside with your pup. The prices are a little higher than a regular grocery store, but if it can save you a trip it's worth it! Please be aware that the picture I posted with the store hours are for summer. They will likely change in the winter.

Not as fun as the old store that had all kind of items, but they have a good selection and the prices are actually decent. There was an item they had here at the store and the exact same item in the Sport Shop, $2 cheaper here.

I was shocked with the high prices at this "New" PINECREST store.Half gallon of almond milk $7.99...Really? this new store took the home feeling of how Pinecrest was. It may have been a bit crowded, but...It had everything you ever needed &so much more stuff than this store will ever have. I didn't like the layout either..to impersonal. I felt like I was in the City store.I enjoyed the way it was before.. and so have many other people that were talking & commenting about it at the campsites.It DEFINITELY DOES NOT have that Pinecrest feel we've had for 40 years. I DID NOT buy anything & will not in the future.I just didn't enjoy that part of Pinecrest anymore.Bring it back the way it was. Unhappy with the New Overpriced "Pinecrest Food Market."

Nice little grocery store with all the essentials and some unique/specialty food items. Also, a surprisingly nice wine and alcohol selection. Definitely a gem for the area.

I've been going to this market every summer since 1990 (with the exception of 2020) and it used to have everything you could possibly need for your camping trip. Have a fuse break or a leaky pipe, or needing dog food and lactose-free milk? They had it and everything you could need without driving to Sonora. Now that the store is run by Dodge Ridge, the prices went up by several dollars, there's no emergency replacement parts except some expensive batteries ($6 for one 9V battery), and good luck finding a variety of food anymore. They kept the alcohol selection extra large, but only 2 aisles for food products instead of 3. Lots of "organic" foods and 4 types of plant milk, but only fat free milk if you're lactose intolerant. The store is impersonal and feels very much like it's only ment for rich people, instead of what it used to be: an everyday market for people who just want to have some fun by the lake and camping. No longer is the store always busy with people, it's empty and dull.

Terrible experience. Older lady with white hair on the heavy side had the worst costumer service skills I’ve ever seen. I told her sorry i didn’t see she was open I’ve never been here she continued to tell me how a grocery store operated…like I’ve never walked out of my home before. I work in retail I’m fully aware of how it works lady. I’m from the city I guess small town has a lot of ignorance I feel sorry for them

People complain about the prices. But I would rather pay a little more, than drive 30 miles down the mountain to go to Safeway. Bring food in coolers, and what you forget or run out of, they will have.

This store is a joke. We live here and are in pinecrest often and every time I go into this store we are greeted by rude employees and way overpriced items. I will drive back down the hill before I ever step foot in this store again.

They sell great coffee at this little market place area. The actual little store/market is pretty expensive so I would recommend bringing your own stuff before you go because it is really expensive.

Store owner is very rude and unhelpful. I will spend my money elsewhere. It’s to bad because the location is convenient and employees are friendly, but the owner’s behavior means I will not be making further purchases at this store.

I would give less than 1 star but I wasn’t able to ... Went to get a snack and was sickened by the fact that most of their snack foods were out of date but still on the shelf !!Avoid until new owner is established !
