One of the finest record stores in the US. Always friendly staff that can answer almost any music related question as well as suggest amazing selections you may not have been familiar with prior to entering the store. Excellent organization of vinyl and very easy to navigate. Store is packed with great finds and the new releases you want. Great place to buy gifts for others as they have turntables, speakers, apparel, posters, cassettes, CDs, and much more. Go support them!

Fantastic little record store packed with a lot of gems at super reasonable prices. I spent an hour here digging through the crates & found some nice jazz, blues, & rock albums. Didn't even have time to explore the 45's or the $1 bins. The records, the prices, and the staff- great all around.

My favorite place in Sonoma County to buy music. This is my church, I visit Rain Dog Records on a weekly basis, as they always have new stuff. I can spend hours there going over crates upon crates of music, used or new. Also if they don't have what you are looking for you can talk to the staff and they can probably get it for you. So happy that i have a local record store just minutes away. If you are in Petaluma, make sure you visit this place, you won't regret it

Well organized store with very reasonable prices. I spent over an hour there and found some really nice vinyl (and a few CDs). There's a nice inventory of both used and new records, leaning mostly towards quality used. Very friendly staff too. Highly recommended for both newbies and hardcore vinyl collectors.

Omg this place is the best record store in the bay area!!! They have such a RAD SELECTION! Their collection is definitely well curated. I was so, so very impressed with this record shop. My son likes to buy cassettes to listen to in our old truck and record deck at home, and we found some really cool, fair prices on some awesome cassettes and records at Rain Dog. Gabe was awesome and it was a pleasure to talk to him about music and vinyl. We will definitely be back! Thanks for being such a cool part of the community!

Ive never been to a record store before and it was exactly how I imagined the place being. Tons of great finds. They had great music playing in the background. The Employee there was very friendly and helpful. I personally bought a jazz and swing album that was made in 1955. 10/10 I will be back there again!

Awesome spot for picking up vinyl! Kirk is a delight to chat with and there's a really solid array of records on offer here at a good price. Was happy to pop in today and dig through some crates.If you're in Petaluma, you've gotta swing by!

Cool little up and coming shop. Nice chill vibe! No new inventory when I visited, only used records. Also, tons of classic rock. Found an Eric Clapton album to go home with me. Oh, and prices are good.

Probably my favorite record store in the Bay Area at this point. I love that they have a big selection of $1 and cheap records, with good titles in there. Stuff that is $20 elsewhere is often $6-8 here. Too bad I already have almost everything I want, otherwise I would pillage this store.

Spin Records in Petaluma is by far the most authentic record store you’re going to get in this area. Fair prices and some serious gems there, I’m talking Ramones, The Cure, Bowie, and any kind of jazz record you can think of. This is the place to go. Ended up picking up Faces and the best soundtrack ever.

So this is a nice little shop. They may not have a lot in stock at the moment but they are still growing , but I have not left empty handed. I have always found a couple of items to get. And I am very picky on my music collection.They so worth a look.And I will be going back

Very nice to find a small independent record shop where you can explore stacks of used vinyls like "treasure hunting". Kurt is very well informed on artists and records, I got a great deal!

another pathetic, local record store complete with all the frills you would expect: dismal selection, rude, arrogant, & contentious service, and offering pennies on the dollar for used items which are subsequently marked up sky-high. a horrendous joke.

Love this place! They had exactly what I was looking for. The owner Kirk is super knowledgeable and friendly. Customer service is a priority and the inventory is amazing. I don't mind the 20 minute drive from my house.

My bff used to live across the street from this place... Man oh man times have changed! At least the aquarium is still make stiff drink and where it's at ! This place has a lot of LPs and stuff you don't come across everyday... Well worth a visit!
