Great selection of coral. Best place ever !!! Owners are very cool. No pressure to buy anything unlike other fish stores this one is more about fish and coral. Not trying to push a $100.00 tank on you like rainbow in panorama city. Much recommended!!!!

All I can say is wow, the coral selection is amazing. Great price and excellent customer service. Picked up my rainbow anemone for a great price! Definetly making this my favorite coral store.

Great selection, but nothing priced out. Seemed as if prices were being made up as I was asking. The few tanks that had plugs marked weren't super impressive

Nice little place with good selection, but be prepared to wait your turn especially on weekends. Most of the coral that aren't frags are not for sale.**** response to business reply ****Thank you. I wasn't referring to the colony but rather there are several frags you don't sell either, even those fully encrusted and clearly not a colony (on .5" in plugs). Again, not a complaint, just difficult to know what you can and cannot buy. Maybe separate them somehow so it's clear what is and isn't for sale.

This place is cool for marine owners ONLY which sucks. But, i needed an emergency water change for a discus tank , and all other locations in the valley were closed past 7 pm. They were the onky ones open until 8, and they at least had R.O.D water which helped me do my water change. If only they had more selection I would give five stars but all in all a good mom n pop kinda shop.

If you are into corals and reefing you need to visit Deep Blue Aquarium. Worth the drive and time... My only regret is I didn't find this place sooner. Owner is very knowledgeable knows his buisness. Again if you are looking for corals and frags they have an amazing selection lots of rare ones and brilliant stunning colors go there with time and patience cause deciding which one to take home is a hard choice, hands down the best coral selection per square feet.

I really love the variety and selection Hong has in his store, I didn't even know where to start when I first went in. Originally went for one frag, walked out with 2 more. Definitely check out his shop and if you are coming from far it is worth the drive. Fish and coral look healthy and well taken care of, you can tell he puts in a lot of work. He knows his corals by name and color too, no guessing or random pricing like other shops(prefer not to say names). Even if it's a small place, his variety out competes other larger stores. I will definitely be a new regular here.

Hands down, the best Aquarium store in the valley. Customer service is through the roof! Owners are very knowledgeable and take the time and patience to educate you on how to successfully keep a marine/reef tank. They are very honest and I appreciate that so much! They care and you can tell. They have so many corals and such great prices. I also got an amazing price on their designer clownfish. The tanks are very clean and healthy. I won't be going anywhere else to buy!

They have tons of corals but the prices are higher than average. $25 for a Xenia frag is too much.

Owners are very nice and full of knowledge. There is no BS when asking for advice. I have been getting my fresh/salt water here for some time since they have the most reasonable prices. This place has plenty of frags.

I think this place is decent, the workers are nice. The guy is the one you wanna buy from, the lady is cool, but her prices are all over the place...Nice coral for the prices, although at times you’re going to get tiny frags. Just make sure you look for the frags which have already started to encrust. The main reasons I don’t give this five stars:I’ve asked about the same seahorse to the same lady twice, first time she told me like $65 or $75 something along those lines, this time she tells me $100, two days apart. I know those are the same horses, and the money difference isn’t too much. But if I could’ve bought the pair for $130, why would I spend $200 for the pair now. Drops a star just like that.Second reason : I’ve gotten many pests from this place. Nudibranchs On my birdsnest, bristleworms on my green star polyp, on my King Midas zoas,Bubble algae on my Clove polyp frag , Caulerpa on a Kenya tree rock. They seriously have a problem with being clean. Their displays have lots of clean up crew and algae eating fish but don’t be fooled. The Acros I’ve gotten from there have been 100% fine, but those tanks are separated, the rest of their tanks are infested with algae spores of many kinds, and parasites of many kinds. Always dip Corals, some may even need to be scrubbed a bit or just removed from the plug just to make sure no contamination takes place. I still had a caulerpa problem and brisleworm problem, the birdsnest was qt’d and ended up fine with no nudis. My point being, buy the nice Corals for cheap prices, deal with the problems that come along with it.

This place is pretty cool. It's got a nice vibe and I like looking at the variety of fish. The people who work here are pretty chill so it's not weird to ask questions or anything like that.

Everything looks really clean and beautiful, sunlight is blocked off so you can really appreciate the tanks, corals, and fish 👌🏾

We visited Deep Blue Aquarium in North Hollywood a week ago, more out of curiousity than because we needed anything for our saltwater tank. Upon entering the hard-to-find store, the first thing we saw were hundreds and hundreds of waving sea anemones and beautiful corals. DBA has without a doubt, one of the largest collection of anemones and corals in Los Angeles. And of course, they have saltwater fish as well. It is *definitely* worth stopping by and checking them out.NOTES:The Deep Blue Aquarium is on a sidestreet and somewhat hard-to-find. Best advice we can give you is look for the self car wash (on Cahuenga), once you find that, you are only a block away). There is almost no signage. To make matters worse, we went at night and eventually had to call the store to get directions. Turns out it was right across the street!IMPORTANT: This store is only open WED and THUR nights from 5 pm to 8 pm!!! Call first to check the hours of operation.By the way, we left the store with two anemones and a anemone crab. They are all happily flourshing in our tank at home.
