Why can't this store send some of their employees around the outside of the store and spend 5 or 6 minutes twice a week and pick up all the trash? I live in the area and frequently this store but it's a disgrace to the nice neighborhood around it. Be a good neighbor and help us!!!

This 99 Cents store near the Universal Toluca Lake neighborhood is always a great place to shop and buy all your namebrand companies that you consume and use for the very low price of $.99 and sometimes just a little more staff is wonderful and helpful and the neighborhood is a pleasant place to be inAnd for all you alcohol consumers they have a great big selection of beer and wine I never would’ve thought the $.99 would have

Sadly this location gets a lot of homeless people which causes the cashiers to be unfriendly and on edge and always having to police the door. Also unnerving to have the homeless in the store that is small shopping or attempting or pretending to shop next to you. Many of them with mental illness.

It baffles me to see worker very rude. Not just to me, but rude to the guy behind me. And the woman didn’t bag up my stuff. Everyone needs to learn customer service from working at Disneyland. People each day have a lot going on emotionally and stress. What would be nice is if these people who work there are warm and inviting. And they are not. I know they don’t get paid well and probably hate their jobs, but they have a job and take pride in it. The lack of enthusiasm and respect to the customers is appalling. I even tried to call the manager and she cut me off rudely and said “yeah, yeah. I will tell her” yeah right! They are this way because of managers. Clean up your attitude and store people!!!

You literally NEVER know what you'll see here. The weird thing is I always see supervillains buying cleaning products. Once I saw Scarlett which buying paper towels... a d the other week i saw the riddler buying (what I can only assume) items to be used as clues for his riddles for batman. 4 bags of quick oats, fake bird statues, paper towels, a bunch of rubber duckies. I wonder if he's open to having a henchman in training bc I am INTERESTED

One of my favorite places for all household cleaning supplies and fun arts and crafts project things like paints, poster boards, glitter etc. Good for pantry items, candy, soups, snacksp, but maybe not grocery shopping. Great for random cool household decor, incense, cards and sometimes get lucky on electronic items! Great prices make it worth it to go here for things that are way more expensive at other places, yet still good quality!

Update, the response from the 99c management below says, tell me more about the issue you had. WHAT? That wasn't enough? I did call. Stop responding with a generic response. You have enough information to investigate.As I'm checking out, the lady rings me up and says,do you want bag? I say yes, she says, no more plastic bag, you can purchase one of the $1.00 ones. I said, ok, but they should be half priced since you're out of bags. She says, its not our fault, but doesn't explain. I why? She said they don't allow us to have plastic bags anymore, you have to bring your own if you want, I said okay, mind you she has an attitude the entire time. She shoves everything in the bag and takes one thing out and pushes against my hand and it hurts my hand. I say ouch, she just looks at me, I said you just hurt me, still not even an apology, I said,wow, not even an, I'm sorry. She said sorry I didn't see your hand. I said 1st, I told you that you hurt me and you didn't say anything, then I didn't say it was my hand, so you must have seen it.. she doesn't ask if I want receipt in the bag, she just stuffs it in there. Someone needs customer service training. Alisa!

Pretty cheap and affordable, I got a 50% off a peanut butter since it was about to expire. Still eating that peanut butter and taste hasn’t changed. I spent like 11 dollars for bread, cereal, jelly, peanut butter, etc.

Stay away from this store in the evenings. Lots of homeless people were entering to buy necessities. The smell of those entering the store was pretty bad. However it had whatever you needed for a cheap price. I saw a man in front of me walk out with 2 full bags of food groceries for $35. You can't find that anywhere these days. But the type of customers will keep me away.

This was my first time at a 99 cent only i had previous always gone to dollar tree. The store was fully stock but almost nothing was 99cents it was 1.99 2.99 and up not to mention the items were tagged poorly so you had guess which price you were going to pay. Not to mention a lot of items i can get cheaper like canned vegetables for cheaper at the regular grocery. Other than that the store was clean and the staff was nice.

O.M.G. This store has gone WAY downhill. Went in looking for a couple of toys for the kids, and the toys were almost nonexistent. The few they did have was junk and ranged in price from $1.99 to $5.99.The store was messy and reminded me of an extremely low-end market with a few household items on the side. Don't recommend, won't be returning

I agree with the customer that said it’s certainly not $.99 anymore. I understand the supply chain issue, but I would say about 50% of what I usually buy there is now at LEAST 100% more than what it used to be. For example I used to get this really good German coffee that was instant for $.99. Now they have a slightly larger jar of it and it cost me $3.99 last time I was there. I saw the same canister of ground Folgers that was $.99 pre pandemic and now it’s $4.99.I have bought jam from Egypt there that used to be $.99 yet last time I went in it was $1.99. I have seen certain items jump up 150% and more. I don’t go nearly as often as I used to. It’s too bad Because they still have some good deals but not nearly as much. a lot of the $.99 prices are extremely limited now. Go and see for yourself. You’ll still find something But I used to bring out bags and bags of stuff. Now I usually just have one

The workers are so friendly and welcoming and they are really really professional and helpful. but the store size is very small and it could be a lot bigger since it's very high volume of people in traffic. They are very very stocked though which is very nice and they're not usually low on anything so my only critique would be that it's very small in size for how many people there is and their business traffic.

There's ample parking at this location, which is slightly smaller than other stores. The staff here is always friendly, the product selection delightfully random, and there's even alcohol! I haven't bought dollar store booze in a few years now, but it's nice to know it's an option. Ha!

Whenever the cashier asks if I want a bag, I usually get just one, because it's easier to manage. Other clerks have argued with me and insisted that I needed two bags, which would always prompt me to get the bag and do it myself, just to show them it could be done. Today, cashier Joe, without argument, quickly and efficiently, put everything in the one bag! It's a small thing, but a first! Thank you Joe for being a smart, intelligent employee. It's attention to detail, however minor, that is outstanding. Keep up the good work.

As an avid 99 shopper, I make sure to stop by this particular location at least once before every major holiday. I can always find adorable decorations for every season and clever gift ideas for anyone. I've found this place to be a wonderful start when I need decorative inspiration.The lines are long but compared to the average dollar store they actually move quickly and cashiers are decently competent. The variety in merchandise is outstanding. Shelves are sorted and for the most part organized. There's a natural flow with the store layout. Kudos to the team that works to make it all possible!

When someone asks where you will get high quality stuffs at cheap price and I won't even blink an eye and answer 99 cents only stores. I often go to buy stuffs I always find this place very clean and the staffs very helpful to find the particular stuff we intend to buy. Every time I go there and come home with trunk filled. Happy to recommend this place.

Great prices for fruits and vegetables. Beats major grocery chain prices by a mile. Nice selection of gardening products and accessories too! Wonderful savings and value. I always leave the store happy.

This chain of stores is a lot like the Dollar Tree in Oregon. They have a better selection of food items, I must say. better quality merchandise. The people who work there appear to be happy with their jobs. They are polite and will go out of their way to help you out.
