I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!Every employee who has helped me at the register and grooming apartment has always treated my dogs with care and respect. They have an amazing price for trimming nails for my Rotties! I feel welcomed every time I walk in and my puppies can definitely agree!

I have shopped at this store for over 40 years. It used to be on Verdugo.I can't even calculate how much money I have spent there over the years. I JUST bought a lovable baby Cockatiel and YES it is hand raised. Just an observation: look at all the reviews.. Almost all are 5 star and some ( just some) are one star. That's ok even if completely true( usually shaded). Dealing with retail customers is REALLY tough. Just ASSUME you will have a FIVE STAR experiance based on the number of FIVE STAR reviews

Adorable local pet store with grooming services. I've been going here most of my life. It's a small business I love to support. The staff is always kind and helpful, including when I needed to switch my puppy food. They gave thoughtful, educated answers. You can tell they are animal lovers, not just at their job. Grooming is excellent as well!

I've gone to Anderson's Pet Shop since I was a little girl and they were about a mile away. I am OLD now. They are knowledgeable and friendly. Great atmosphere as well.

Lovely staff, beautiful and organized local store. We used their boarding services for our 2 Guinea pigs. Our pets were happy to stay there, and they took good care of them. Merchandise wise, it is bit on the pricier end. A great place to leave your pocket animal for boarding.

I went in here to buy a bird for an older member of my family. They were so extremely helpful and patient I like that they were pushing us to make a sale, but rather helping us find a pet.

Super friendly staff. I only needed a pinky mouse. I was going to pay with my debit card, but they were willing to let me go and pay them back later because of how small the amount was to use a debit card. I happened to have some cash and payed. 5 stars for the considerate friendly service.

Overrated and overpriced!!!!STAY AWAY ……We decided to support the local pet store vs Petco, etc .... by paying $100 for a Guinea Pig (we bought two) yes, $100 per Guinea pig!!! Surprise Surprise, after one month one of them had 3 babies. After reaching out to the owner for a refund he laughed and told us congratulations and he'll be more than happy to take those babies off our hands (wonder why). Bottom line, stay away and high price does not equal customer service. Sad and Pathetic.

Pretty much my go-to for beardie supplies/food. Occasionally they don't have crickets but it's not a big deal, as I can feed my baby berries/greens to hold him over. I appreciate the small, independently owned shops.

Just picked my dog up from the groomer who I used to rave about but her translucent white nails have been cut below the quick. No excuse—it’s easy enough to see the pink. It’s bloody and hurting her. Won’t be going back.

This store is one of the happiest places in the San Gabriel Valley! Their grooming is outstanding. The people who work there all love animals nd are knowledgeable. They carry high quality products. They have easy parking. AND they support the Glendale Humsne Society! It's kind of far for me, but worth it every time.

We got the three sweetest, goofiest rats here! The owner is also a rat breeder and enthusiast, and he made sure they’d been handled a ton, so they were used to humans. (He actually gave us the third rat for free because we were looking for two and he didn’t want to separate the three brothers who’d grown up together. So freaking cute.) We even got to say hi to their mom! I hear that going to pet shops for ratties can be a gamble in terms of temperament, but here you know you’re getting sweethearts. If you’re a first-time owner like me, you can also stock up on everything you need, from a cage to bedding to hides and treats!

I've been a customer of Anderson's for over 30 years, since they were on Verdugo. Tom is super cool and knowledgeable. If you have any questions , or concerns about your pets - he's likely to have answers, otherwise hs happy to help do the research. His sister and staff are all super friendly and kind. They've got a great selection of supplies & will order whatever you need if it's availa:-)

I love this store. It starts with the best groomer Frank. We used to live in Montrose, but even now that we moved to Oxnard we still bring our dogs to Frank. My dogs look like show dogs when he done. He doesn't shave them down he uses scissors. The service is great and I can't really say enough nice things about them. Try them out

Great little neighborhood pet store. It's a bit pricey, but the rent is probably high considering the area. Tom definitely tried to get a little bit of everything in here. Not a huge selection, but the quality is good. I've purchased fish here. They have outlasted Petco fish by at least twice the life-span.

Have gone to school with Tom and Alice I shopped the store when Alice's parents owned the store that is how long I had been shopping at their pet shop. We have moved out of the area to Texas and never received customer care as with Anderson's .. Vivian at Andersen's is such a great groomer! M one of my mutts is super anxious, and Vivian is so great with her. We just dont go anywhere else. And the cuts are terrific. Andersens is awesome all around. LOVE supporti g my neighborhood storw.

My Australian Shepherd was approaching the end of his life, and the folks at Anderson's Pet Shop were just wonderful. They gave me suggestions on all fronts to help my dog to be as comfortable as possible, and they were very supportive / knowledgeable. Thanks Anderson's for all that you do!

Terrible! I bought two Betta fish, two separate times, and all the supplies. They assured me the fish could survive in a small bowl and instructed me to use room temperature water. Within four days of bringing these fish home, both died. I tossed the Andersen's Pet Shop Betta Instructions and finally referenced books and google for care instructions. Bettas need warm water! NOT room temperature!!! It's criminal that two fish had to die because they are giving the wrong instructions.

This place has items for just about any pet you might have. They are a well stocked store with some great merchandise. Employees are very nice and helpful. I bought some cat snacks that I always have a hard time finding.

I came in to buy a baby pet rat for my daughter when I first came in I was told that the baby rats where hand raised. That’s a complete lie. I went in to buy the little baby we picked out, she was no longer out front and I noticed he got her out of a cage with a lot of other rats before I checked out I asked him are those the feeder rats he said yes, I didn’t put two and two together until I got home and saw how scared and sick she was that they sold me a feeder rat as a pet hand raised rat for almost 30$ it’s been a week and she still is so afraid and hides not to mention the 125$ vet bill I went in to ask them just because I feel like they shouldn’t lie about something like this and want upset just wanted to know, but they told me they wouldn’t do that even after I watched him put the other little “hand raised” pet rat back with the feeder rats the day I came to pick up the little girl I bought. This is really not cool to do especially because I wanted a pet for my daughter. I feel lied to and ripped off. To sell a feeder rat as a pet is so dangerous especially when they knew it was for a little girl

You might see a price difference as you walk in but quilty of the product is awesome. It is very hard to find a descent local pet shop anymore, with that being said this is your one stop shop. Need advice for next furry friend or family member? Stop by and see Tom or Rob, can't go wrong when asking these two gentlemen on advice...

Awesome pet store. The owner is friendly and know his stuff. They have everything from insects to dog food. It is much better than Petco or any of the other big box pet chains.
