It is disheartening to observe the insufficient attention given to the welfare of Betta fish. Furthermore, the practice of selling them in containers of minimal size with inadequate water volume persists. During my recent visit to the store, a significant portion of the Betta fish on display were either deceased or in a state of distress. This issue extends beyond Betta fish, as other fish tanks also exhibited a concerning prevalence of deceased specimens. It is imperative that establishments selling animals prioritize their care and well-being.

Pleasant environment in which to browse with lots of choices for our extensive menagerie. Store was ckean and organized and even had a restroom. A bit pricier than other local pet stores but I purchased several items for my Betta and my cat although i opted to order the other things I needed from Amazon.

This PETCO has very friendly employees. They have live fish, reptiles, hamsters, mice and guinea pigs. The cages were all clean and the animals looked healthy. We went to get the free pound of treats for our dog's birthday through the rewards program. He loves the treats. We were in line for a few minutes but they quickly opened another register. The only downside was the parking lot can be very busy because it is next to Whole Foods.

Recently, they made some good maintenance on their fish tanks which was really nice to see. Overall, their customer service is good with the exception of a couple people that are great! They are always having great sales and online deals with easy in-store pickup. Unfortunately, the online prices are sometimes cheaper than in store pricing. Without double checking, you wouldn't know it and will pay more even though they price match. Their in-store computer systems should automatically be programmed to match their online prices. Could you imagine how happy and surprised the customers would be to save a few dollars here and there with their purchases?! Now, I almost always double check online prices before checking out and request price matches every time. It is tedious and overall unnecessary in my opinion. That is a business model and corporate policy flaw in my book. Not this specific store.

This is smallest Petco I've ever seen. But with that being said they do make good use of the small Sq footage. They actually have a pretty good selection of everything . They even have a fish department with live fresh & salt water fish they even have a pretty great selection of different kinds of Sea life that grows on rocks and some super cool little tiny striped Lobster. They also sell birds and a fee other things. And carry supplies and food for a large number of different animals. You can even adopt a cat. They also have a groomer there and I'm pretty sure they have a small pet clinic there or mobile vet bus . A nice stsff as well 👍

The groomers here do a great job of tending to my fluffy stubborn dog! She looked wonderful after her appointment here and I will bring her back.

Petco has a great clearance section for dog collars and leashes etc. There's always something I need on clearance at PetCo! The employees here are nice, helpful, and if you ask them a question, I feel confident they know what they are talking about, and in the chance that they don't know the answer to your question, they will find someone else who can confidently provide an answer.

Just grabbed a bag of puppy food...Ruby was fantastic helping me use my Vital Care rewards. Seriously great customer service, just wish all store employees everywhere were like Ruby.

I went for vaccines and it was the worst experience ever, I don't recommend getting ANY shots for any dogs or puppies here. Your much better off buying the shot yourself and administrating it yourself where it's way cheaper. Petco not only lie about the price but they don't give a shot with it's full vaccine where the pet store has way more coverage for your dog/pup and it's ONLY 13$ giving it yourself, all Petco does is give a (not full vaccine,9$) shot slap more taxes,(25$) disposal charges (50$) and there's they're 80$ shot vaccine!

We’ve been taking our pup to Morgan at Petco, Del Monte Center (7 grooming appointments). The staff is friendly and professional. Morgan does an excellent job and above all we feel we are leaving our pup in a safe and caring environment. All of the people we have spoken to and interacted with seem to have a genuine heart for animals. That means everything. ❤️

Great experience at the grooming salon with Alicia! She head happy to answer all of my questions and recommend a groomer for our next appt who will meet our needs (she will not be there next time, so she recommended another groomer). Very happy! Will be back for our next groom.Kathy (at the register) called customer service for me to apply pals rewards I didn't know I had! Saved $35!

Everything about this place is amazing! I love to come here for all of my pet supplies, the manager always makes sure you’ve been helped and the ladies at the register are sweet. I even got their rewards program since I shop here very often and it saves us money. I don’t even mind the drive from Seaside, and will always use this store.

I've been giving the groomers at this location a pass for a few years. The groomer we used moved away, the next we tried did a great job. TWO stars are due to the attitude from the employees in the grooming dept. They are to call you when you pup is ready, rarely have they called me. I learned to ask about a timeframe then I show up at that time... ...hence the "pass." When I visited two weeks ago to make a grooming appointment only one person was working grooming a dog. She said I can't help you come back in 10 minutes. With this message I drove home and booked on line. Fast forward two weeks. I showed up for the appointment set and was I was told, rather smugly, that the person to take care of our dog wasn't in today. I questioned as I had this appt for 2 weeks, she said, weather was an issue AND said that everyone was called. Again, they say they call however I have found that not to happen."A causal attitude equals causal results." You may also find that your business is not welcome and neither are you. When they treat human's this bad imagine what they may be doing to your beloved pet!

Lovely cashier acknowledge my wait in line and was very sweet. I came across a closed minded individual whom is an employee from this location. Arnold, ignored my wait in line and said hi to all customer as he was only friendly to certain people.

I really like the different selection of everything, and the employees were very nice. But I went two days in a row because I was thinking about getting a fish. On the first day, the employee said that I needed to buy a tank at least 5 gallons big and a filter at least. I did some research and came back the next day and was told all I needed was a tank a little over a gallon and some water treatment drops. I wasnt getting anything super fancy, just a goldfish. While I appreciated the help, the whole experience was just really confusing. I got the fish though 🤩 hes really cute

The staff graciously gave us 10 minute window to get our dogs in, we traveled 1 hour 13 minutes for a groom and bath (2 dogs). We arrived to find out my groomer called out and I never got the phone call...one of the male staff members adamantly said I received. We drove from king city luckly we had scheduled a bath with someone else who was there. She offered to bathe our dog who didn't get the groom. She was very very pleasant and did an outstanding job. By the way we also paid around 90 dollars for this. Our search for a groomer continues.

The employees are well versed in all things pets, kind and helpful. My finicky cats love the Petco brand Wholehearted, particularly the chicken pate in gravy. Petco frequently has sales.

Store was clean, but they never picked up the phone when I called them. I was interested in what birds they had in store and wanted to spare myself the trip if they didn't have any larger birds, so I decided to call them. I phoned the store twice and both times I was left ringing for so long I might as well have gone to the store. I ended up going into the location and never once spoke to a staff member even when I was passed by one on several occasions, o really they have a lot of room to improve in the name of customer service and experience.

The workers there are so helpful. They treat your pet like they are their own. They're all very knowledgeable about their products. They always have great deals. My dogs are in their training and Kelly is really great at what she does. Truly like a family to me.

Great customer service, just takes a minute or two of finding them because they are busy taking care of the pets and store. The employee environment seems pleasant (nothing toxic or highschool-like) and Nik was very concerned with the after purchase care.

The people that work here are extremely nice and knowledgeable. I got my chinchilla here. The guy who helped me there knew exactly what he was talking about when I had questions and there store us well stocked, organized and clean. They have like everything here. Highly recommend

Pretty good service but I think their cleanliness needs improvement. Fortunately they made some improvements after some issues were brought to the attention of their management but some things remain to be fixed: 1- ants crawling around near the fish tanks 2- carcasses of dead feeder goldfish behind the big tank of them from a spill and 3- cockroach seen running under fish section. That being said their rodent enclosures have been kept a bit cleaner now. If finding a staff member to ask for help or to notify of problems it would be an improvement.
