Santiago did an amazing job with Olivia, my Goldendoodle! It was her first time getting professionally groomed, so I was a little nervous as to how she’d do. She was also matted because her thick, tight curls are hard to comb out. She came back looking fantastic for a very reasonable price! It’s like a whole new dog. Olivia was excited to see me when I arrived to pick her up, but ran back to snuggle Santiago before leaving. It was obvious he cares about the dogs he’s grooming, and they love him too! Will definitely be returning.

Upon entering Santiago’s almost hidden and hard to see pet grooming salon, my toy poodle and I feel as if we’ve entered a magically hidden oasis out of a Harry Potter film. Unassuming and organically pleasing to the senses, Alta Vista Pet Salon boasts a peaceful atmosphere with calming energy and angelic paintings, angels, plants and a pastel colored mural on the wall. And then there is this warm and caring, artistic owner and groomer Santiago. “I’m taking you to Santa” I tell my toy poodle “and you’re going to be very happy with your haircut!”! As an anxious poodle mama, Santiago greets us with a genuine and warm energy, reassuring me that she would be in excellent hands - and she was. I look forward to our return again and am comforted to have finally found such a wonderful groomer to go to in Monterey. Thank you Santiago! T & F 🐶

Santiago is a wonderful groomer! I brought my cats here, one for a bath and one for a shave, and I had a great experience. I could tell that he really cared about my pets. The shave came out not entirely smooth, but what else can you expect when shaving a cat? It certainly turned out better than the times I've tried to shave my cat at home, haha.
