Love it there, close to home, A+ for the fishing/outdoor aisle. Only home improvement store that I know have that. Customer service is on point they always ask if I needed help which I always do but to shy to ask lol. Other home improvement retailer doesn't really ask me at all. Also love using their discount and rewards when they send them out. Usually my go to now I live equal distance to other places but just like being here more.

Went to the competitor and workers were just standing around and talking. I went all over the building and no one ever asked if needed help nor good afternoon. Here I had about 3 or 4 workers asking if I needed help since I entered the store I was well greeted. Keep up your great customer service. I will avoid going to the orange logo store. Unless I need a special part but I'll rather order online.

Well most guys my age go to Ace cause they need weed wackers or paint for the living room or for other manly duties. I go there mainly because my 10 year old godson and his 11 and 9 year old brothers love hanging out there. Not to say it isn't an excellent hardware store, it certainly is that, but I'm probably not a typical customer.That being said, great store and friendly stay staff, and last time we got free cookies. How does it get any better than that

I enjoy Stand Ace Hardware. It has a big inventory without feeling overwhelmed. There is plenty of floor staff to assist you as well. The deals are there if you look, plus Club Rewards and coupons. They have a great BBQ selection including Traeger, Weber and the Big Green Egg. A nice nursery area, paint shop, work clothes and tool selection. You can buy just the amount of fasteners you need.

I asked the cashier about a 3.00 off on a can of foam and showed her the tag and she was honestly the nastiest person to deal with told me this is not the one... ok then witch one is the one? Again she said this is not the one. Ok now I'm going to walk back and find (the one) a lady followed me and was even more nasty. What's a trip is ive never ever had a problem with anyone at that store. Everyone is cool is hell. I understand is you have a bad day stay home. Call in sick. Or call in stupid. Call the manager and tell them I'm stupid today I can't work. It seemed like the 3.00 was coming out of her check. Lol anyway the manager called he was pretty cool. The first guy I called was not. I asked for the names and there were only 3 reg open and he was playing dumb saying he didn't know the name of the cashier. But the real manager called and he was cool is hell. I didn't want to leave a bad review but if you are having a bad day stay home. Don't p other people off. Both those 2 need to find another job where they don't deal with people or discounts. Anyway everyone who read this I wish u the best in life. Even the 2 rude ladies I hope life gets better for you.

We ran in ( literally 15 min before close) because I was making a strawberry box for my kids. Plants were beautiful, staff was awesome even though we were late comers.

John was a great helper in finding an all of our needs when we were there. Although the prices are a bit higher than other hardware stores the service is better. Sometimes it's nice to just get ideas when you go there since they have the garden area decorated and the store is very clean. The restrooms were very nice without debris and graffiti. Would recommend them especially for the employee experience that you get. Would like their prices to be a little bit more affordable. But nonetheless if you have the money to spare it's a good place to go.

Love that store.The staff is always there to help and they know their business. Never have to track anyone down. Plus the Ace bonuses are good too. I get atleast $10 a month free. They didn't have it at homedepot, but they had it at ACE.

I like the location close to home prices are little higher than the bigger hardware stores they're customers service is better than the bigger stores they just don't have as many options as bigger stores. Still rather go here first it's worth paying a little more,end up being about the same with the price of fuel and time you save

I'm a frugal person so I have a love/hate relationship with this store. I absolutely love the things they have but I don't purchase much 😆. They are expensive. They are the only place I can purchase a gallon size Eileen's VF-11. The employees have always been so fantastic! The shiny self defense items were screaming my name but I thought they were overpriced so I didn't buy any.

4-18-22 electrical dept. I didn’t get his name, he was placing merchant on shelves. I hesitated asking, but I’m glad I did. He helped me determine type of electrical panel I had —cutler or square D. Which enabled me to get the correct 50 A breaker. Simple, yes. But is Much appreciated. Way to go.

The best oven cleaner ever. I stop buying easy off because that's for light duty. But Zep is the best. Spray on wall away wipe off anything!!!!!!! Grease and caked on all gone.

Went to home depot first to buy a dewalt fan. Their site said they had eight in stock, went there and found none. No one was around to help check the stock so I left.i went to ace hardware and saw it immediately. Then they asked me if I needed help. I was in and out within 5 minutes, loved it

We would like to thank Sam at Modesto Ace Hardware for his genuine customer service and recognition, he made us a key for our Kia and he went out of his way to check our key fob to see what was wrong and reversed the battery that autozone put in upside down which is why it wasn’t working. I ask where something they stand there and say aisle 4. You go to aisle 4 and it’s not even close. This happens a lot. They stand there and talk to each other. Then you finally find it and you go to checkout and there are 10 or more people in line and one cashier. Waterford Ace is not like that. Escaping Ace is not like this either. When Ace was on Coffee Rd it was my go to store. The Lady that ran that store never let lines form and her people walked you the item to make sure it was what you wanted. I’d rather drive the extra 8 miles to Home Depot. At least there I know I will get help and checkout is much faster. I get back home faster because I’m not being sent all around the store and be in line for an hour.

I love this hardware store! OK the reasons are many but here's a few. First are the staff. They are very well staffed and everyone is friendly and seems to be real knowledgeable about their departments. Next is the selection from work clothes to most of the hardware needs you have. The garden center has a real nice selection of plants too. They also offer a nice selection of patio furniture and barbecues. If they don't carry something they are not afraid to suggest other local retailers so your not spending a lot of time researching and driving or calling around.

I have an 2006 car that needs a key. This store DOED NOT HAVE the key. I purchased a blank key online. I asked if they would cut and program my key. They said no. I only have one key for this old car. The.clerk said it is stoore policy not to cut outside keys. They have the machine to do this. I said if it doesn't work no problem thanks for trying to help. This store says they are about the community. You have lost a community customer forever. To not cut a key that is out of stock is wrong and unhelpful. I offered to pay $45 to get my blank key cut and programmed. What is the harm in trying to help a customer. The clerk said that if it got out that they cut an outside key everyone would want this service. I understand not cutting outside keys if YOU HAVE IT IN STOCK. But to not help out if you don't have the key SHOWS YOUR TRUE CHARACTER!
