I've been shopping at this store for years this is where I also pick up my prescriptions. I love that they have a bakery department, they have the sushi department, the fruits and vegetables are really nice. They make nice sandwiches here. The two things that I have to say are first of all They should have more sales. I also shop Save Mart and I believe Save Mart has better prices. And the other thing that I don't really like is that some of the managers that have been here for a very very long time. They are not very nice when It comes to customer service. They are rude to their own employees and most of them are young people their employees. And not very friendly to customers when we use the self checkout. They should at least have a smile on their face and say hi. It's call customer service!!

I've shopped here for many years and, after tonight, we will be taking our business elsewhere. My wife and I completed our shopping in the late evening and were checking out in the empty self-service area. Nothing out of the ordinary until we returned a couple of Nutcher milk bottles. The self-service lady immediately said "you know you're not supposed to do that here. You're supposed to go in the regular checkout lane" with attitude. No "excuse me, sir", no "please next time could you take these to the other lane". I've returned these bottles both in the self-checkout and regular lanes at multiple Raley's locations with no issues until tonight. There are no signs saying not to return them in the self-service area. If they were alcohol, I would understand but they were empty milk bottles. If there was a long line in the self-checkout, I would also understand. The self-checkout was empty and she was busy talking at the security guard (no fault to the security guard at all -- he was actively patrolling throughout the store while we were shopping). I was furious and played dumb to placate her. In the end, my wife and I left the store disappointed in the service and losing our selected Raley's.

This store is a joke when it comes to ribeye. They put the bone in ribeye roast on sale and don't even have it in stock. Their meat department has gone downhill! They dont even have single ribeye in stock. They used to carry the three pack, not even those are ever in stock. You guys look like Walmarts meat department! The guy who works in the meat department is very rude!

Came in today to quickly grab a birthday card for my dad and found the perfect one quickly and was able to get it at an affordable price. if I lived a little closer I would definitely be a regular here, everything was clean, cheap, and easy to navigate

This has to be one of the best Super Markets to shop at. The meat department has the freshest Fish, Beef, Chicken Turkey and Pork. The cuts are thick as well as thin. The Sushi is fresh daily, the bakery is bomb as well as the custom sandwiches. I did find two items that I never thought I'd find and one is Pickled Herring in Sour Cream in the Fish Department and Hawaiian Poke - three different flavors t in the frozen section. The fruits and vegetables are crisp and tasty and they are pretty well stocked considering this crisis. Speaking of which the essential things are pretty much either there or not and usually the luck of timing so your on your own. But if you happen to be there when they are resupplied they're GREAT. The staff is great, but can't say much for those unprotected customers that don't keep their distance or show some respect. Take care everyone and stay protected when shopping.

Game Day cupcakes 2023 these were actually called graduation cupcakes but with a Twist I turned them into Game Day cupcakes these cupcakes are best enjoyed around graduation time the month of May June because all the fruits are in season and are very sweet but for the month of February they didn't taste too bad

Finally found a reliable source for German Bologna!! Loved the white cheddar cheese, and the good selection of meats and cheeses. Also, checked out a few deli selections; their chili rellenos were huge and delicious!

One of the best grocery stores in Modesto. Very clean and well organized. Prices over the past years have gotten a lot more competitive with the other high quality grocery stores in the area. The weekly sales are excellent along with their sale items through the app. Love the employees and the selections. 5 stars because they have earned it..

Never could I imagined paying 16$ plus tax for a sandwich. I sent my 12 year old to get a sub for himself. They charged him almost 20$ for a ham and cheese sandwich.

I shop here on a daily basis and the people are very friendly. FYI sometimes a cashier gets distracted and scanned my items twice, but i didn't notice until I got home and checked my receipt. The cashier is the store manager and you think she would notice that kind of mistake.But she didn't and now I have to bring in my receipt and show her that she is human. This happened to me a couple times with the cashiers here so make sure you check your receipt twice because you never know you may have been charged for something you didn't get. I think this is happening on purpose but it could just be a conspiracy. From now on I am checking my receipts before I leave the premises.

This is a review for just their Pharmacy inside the grocery store.I needed a med refill last minute as someone out of state and they were able to fill it the same day. When it came down to paying, I was also able to use a GoodRX card to help discount the price by a lot. Overall, I really appreciate the service and speed at which they were able to do for me. The staff were great with answering questions and helping me out. 10/10

Was driving back home to Modesto today, from LA with my very pregnant friend in her new car, an electric car. As we planned a stop to recharge we discovered a road closure and and had to keep driving to find the next. The miles were very rapidly declining and in a panic we turned into this raleys parking lot looking for a charging station near the gas station and to our disappointment there were none. At this point we are panicked, it’s 11:00 PM and the mileage has gone down to zero and we found a plug near the side of the entrance in raleys we used the extension cord to plug it in. In no way would we normally think to do this but since it was almost midnight and we didn’t want to be stranded as two females, one 7 months pregnant we did what we could in a panic. The raleys security guard a bald guy, came out and said you can’t use this plug and charge here we explained we are desperate just to get to the next location and he said that’s not my problem let it turn off and roll away. We explained we would be stranded in the middle of the night and he said not my problem you should have planned better if you’re driving all the way from LA. Then an older man who I would imagine is the manager and a younger man come out arms folded. No one asks are we alright, is the very pregnant woman alright or in any assistance they can offer but to stand there and say well you should have planned it better you can’t charge here. It was such a vile display of humanity, I can imagine this isn’t the norm by any means or allowed but I would assume finding two stranded women in a panic would at the very least allow you to ask are you alright is there another way to help. Disgusting and I can’t believe these were all three men employed by a family grocery store.

Great store to shop at. They always have alot of shoppers but don't have enough of registers opened for check out. The employees are super friendly. They mostly have all my items, the shelves are pretty decently stocked. I recommend shopping at this store. They also have a gas station. If you shop alot at Raleys you get a $ 0.10 , 0.25 or 0.50off each gallon of gas with the Raleys reward.

Only gave this place two stars because the store is clean. Tonight I went to shop at Raleys and found a few items that were marked down. When I went to self checkout to scan all of my items the barcode didn’t work. The worker named Colin who was older and balding was so rude to me for no reason. He said I couldn’t do the self checkout because “it will take all day”. When I have gone to other Raleys stores and they just punch in the marked down price. He’s lazy and smelt like body odor. He then says I can’t use self checkout in a rude tone and is like never do that again. It was like he’s scolding me. Anyways we go over to his checkstand and he throws my groceries onto the belt. So rude Colin I hope you loose your job.

Was advised by the all powerful Oz (internet) that Raley's was the local vendor for a snack we were needing to stick in our faces - Enlighten Keto Cheesecakes.The store was pleasant and well stocked, items were easy to locate although the Gluten free and Keto snacks are mechandised by type - Crackers with crackers, Cookies with cookies etc.They have Simply Delicious Jello's. Only vendor in Modesto as of today and Sprouts has the puddings too.The produce was not what I was expecting, it was a bit lower than expectations. They had a large quantity and is was all about to turn. I bought some White Nectarines, they were just O.K.

I really was appalled by the 3 woman working in deli and Pete's coffee they were rude and treated me as if I were bothering them by simply ordering a coffee from coffee shop and sandwiches from deli they had rude vulgar attitudes one called the other sis so maybe some relationship. I know that this store will never get business from me or anyone in my family and we do 95 %of our shopping there this was the last straw stuck up snobs is what that store is

Beautifully maintained store. The only knock on this store is that some employees in this store are rude and won't greet you and act as if they don't want to help you. I thought than why do you work for a customer facing business if you act as if you do not want to help your customers. This store is severely in need of team building on how to build a good customer relationship with their customers.

They tend to package the better looking cuts of meat where you can see, and the stuff hidden behind the packaging is pretty bad. Usually end up throwing away a bunch of chicken breast pieces after cutting away the discolored and/or gross stuff. Prices are beyond ridiculous especially during the rises in place from inflation.

Overall I'm very pleased. People are helpful and friendly. They have a great selection to choose from. I've used their pharmacy for just over 25 years. 1st on E. Orangeburg Ave and then at this fairly new address. They can be a little pricey but not too bad. At least when you buy something you know it is of quality.

With very few exceptions, this place has outstanding, friendly and personable customer service. I have seen more than once, the staff going the extra mile for its customers. They have the best steaks in the area, and although it would be nice to see a bigger organic selection, the produce is really good as well. They are a little on the high side as far as pricing goes, and they need to be more competitive there. I gave them a well deserved 5 stars....... great place to go shopping..

Due to the prices I usually come here for a last minute items, but they had just about everything I needed. The products themselves are good quality. Unfortunately most of the employees are not polite. It's rare that I have a positive experience because of the employees so I mainly use self checkout. Hopefully training will be updated and I'll feel welcomed when I shop.
