Loved every moment of the stay! We spent one night for a weekend trip to explore the Avenue of Giants, but I could totally see spending more time here just decompressing and taking in the forest. There is a well-stocked grocery store (with gas/electric charging) just across the street alongside a cafe, so a pretty optimal location as well. The resort has an adorable outdoor cat (grey with white paws) that loves attention. Not sure what their name is, but we called him Mr. Grey like another reviewer did. Gave us a complimentary security check and vehicle inspection! Miranda Gardens is a solid choice for a stay of any length.Rooms: We stayed in Cabin 6. Clean, well-equipped kitchen, and very cozy. Everyone was amazed at how nice it was! I would personally recommend trying for a cabin in the back closer to the forest so your cabin’s deck faces the woods for a good view.Noteworthy details: Very convenient location if the Avenue of Giants is the point of your trip. There is a really beautiful forest behind the cabins, accessible by a gate behind the playground. The walk down is a bit steep at points and can be covered in roots and branches, so be cautious. The view from the gate itself was a bit mesmerizing.

Wonderful cabins on the edge of a Redwood grove. We got a larger cabin with two bedrooms and a kitchen as we are a family of four with two teens. The cabin was clean, well appointed, full kitchen- you could definitely cook meals here if you wanted. Bathroom was not large but was fine, shower stall only. Nice deck and table in the back facing the woods. The manager was very friendly and helpful. She makes a fire nightly in the large firepit, which is a great place to hang out in the evening - marshmallow skewers provided. Mr. Grey the cat was our frequent companion. There are restaurants right across the street with large menus that would suit most people. This is a great location to venture out and drive Avenue of the Giants, hike in the forest, or head to Shelter Cove to visit the amazing beach. One thing I wish I had realized before the last morning there; if you walk through the little gate near the playground, walk down the steep hill, head south on the trail, you will find yourself in an incredible old growth Redwood stand in about 3 minutes. Be careful to note where you came down the hill, as the forest can be disorienting.Walkability: Walk across the street for restaurants, coffee shop, and a grocery store.

I had a lovely stay here. They were so welcoming and friendly and this place just has so much charm. It was started in 1929 and I believe it's still family owned. You basically have your own little cottage, although some of the buildings have more than one room in them. My experience was great and I'd definitely go back. There is really cool hiking trail that is about 250 yards north on the same side of the street, and it gives you access to the Stephens Loop Trail.

Thank you to the staff at Miranda Gardens Resort. Clean cabins, friendly and accommodating staff. We celebrated our son and daughter-in-law's wedding the weekend of September 22-25, 2023. The setting was amazing amidst the majestic Redwoods, on the Avenue of the Giants. We had such a wonderful time and would highly recommend the resort.

I loved our visit here and the staff are very friendly and it’s also very nice here, it’s super clean. This place has a long haired cat that is super friendly but be gentle with him because he’s old and watch your children around the cat. There are two other cats but they are afraid of people. Please be careful when you drive in the parking lot so you don’t hit the cats.

Quiet and quaint. We came during the off season so it wasn't packed. Friendly staff. The cottages come with mini kitchens that even have cooking utensils and dishes included, extremely comfortable beds, tiny but efficient bathrooms and beautiful views. I am so happy to have found this place. We will definitely come here again.Walkability: Several restaurants, coffee shop, convenience store, and gas station all within a 2 min walk.

Stayed here for a weekend while on a motorcycle trip to the Humboldt Redwoods State Park. Great place to relax! Perfectly nestled into the woods, and right on the Avenue of the Giants, which is a must do ride in NorCal.

The staff was great. She was very friendly and relatable. Our lodging had fallen through and we were in need of a place to stay ASAP. The staff was more than willing to work with us and got us into a cabin for the night. The property was beautiful and the rooms were clean but a little dated. There was a mini fridge and an electric fireplace in our room. Everything was clean and the bed was soft. In the morning we left to early to say thank you but from our conversations the night before we had a plan for the next day that helped get is back on track. Thanks again to the staff, Jackie, for being so nice and accommodating.

Nicest place to stay in the northern redwoods area. Rooms are clean and spacious with fully supplied kitchenettes. Room was cozy, warm, & comfortable. New firm mattress and feather down pillows. Comfortable couch to sit in and watch TV with access to Netflix. Will definitely stay here again.

A nice collection of historic cottages amidst medium size redwoods. Trees are softly lit at night and resort looks lovely with the lighted paths as well. Stayed in Cottage 15, the smallest, but it was very nice and plenty spacious, with nice furnishings and a good bed, room very clean, electric fireplace. Cute gazebo, large outdoor sitting area under semi circle of redwoods, has horseshoe pit. Quick walk directly across street from a small grocery, two pleasant restaurants (I ate the The Avenue, which was great), a drive up coffee hut with a few breakfast items, and a gas station. If this information was helpful, I would appreciate a quick like or follow. Thank you!

This place is so amazing. Location is literally on the Avenue of Giants! You can walk out and be under amazingly beautiful tall trees. Cabin is rustic but ours had a kitchen and enough dishes, silverware, pots and pans for our family. Kids loved the pool and playground. We hiked in the back of the resort and it was like stepping back into time

This place was so adorable and a perfect place to stay if you plan on going to the Humboldt Redwood State Park. I’m so sad we only had one night here, I could have stayed a week! The room was clean and so cozy/homey feeling, and grounds and gardens were beautiful. The location in Miranda is very convenient too. There’s a coffee/breakfast place right across the street as well as a cafe for lunch. I would 100% stay here again!

An absolutely wonderful gorgeous place to stay right in the heart of the redwoods man I loved it I couldn't believe how nice it was 140 bucks. I'm in a little town called Miranda just outside of garberville and I swear my nephew lives so I figured I get a room near his place he just lives up around the corner that was cool so I'm going to take the rest of the trip and go down the coast cut across to highway 1 highway 20 and hit him let some things to take care of anybody would have got I'll try and send a bunch of pictures I was leaving right now at 5:05 but I left my bloody coat in the room and I'm trying to find out when I open up I'm already messaging them so anyway I'll let you know how things are going bye-bye

This place is lovely. A variety of well appointed cabins shaded by giant redwoods. Cabin 11 is spacious. King Bed and still room for my yoga mat. Lots of original features but well maintained. We love it.

It was so serene and beautiful. The little cabins are adorable, comfortable, clean and have everything you need for a getaway. Full kitchen, soaking tub, porch with a view. There's a little park for kids, basketball hoops, fire pit, pool (although it's not open due to pandemic). Coffee shop across the street. My family can't wait to go back.

Great location if you want to visit the Avenue of the Giants. Our room had fixtures and features that looked like it was built many decades ago but it has been maintained to seem like it is brand new. We enjoyed our stay.
