5 big stars for being open Thanksgiving. The world is upside down right now with big cities all closing down for the holidays just to give their minimum wage employees the day off. We used to have to earn that in my day. My only recommendation would be to make sure the girl on the microphone at the end of the night gets Thanksgiving off next year because she had a real bad attitude and made us all feel awful for being there the last 15 minutes.

Safeway specifically looking for something for dinner and I found it the sushi bar I just so happy to find a gentleman preparing some fresh sushi as I got there so that's what I got the spicy crunchy yummy roll it was very good very good

This place is not honor the price they offer in the weekly advertising.this is the second time this happened.in advertising its no limit on chips but when I go there the clerk said you can only get three bags and they said the advertising is nationwide but they don't accept.i was really upset and I didn't buy anything.

Michelle should not be a manager, I went to pick up balloons and the person was not there. Her response to me was "I don't keep track of their schedules" didn't try to assist me or anything. Horrible, Horrible experience!

Well I use there pharmacy quite a few times a month renee that works in the pharmacy is the best natured woman I have ever met friendly genuine i think she's absolutely wonderful iam sure you treat her appropriately

Items are overpriced and my last time there, they shut all the registers down except one and it took over a half hour of waiting to buy two items. Why didn't they at least leave the self checkout section open? The line was from lane 6 almost all the way to the bakery.

I bought red velvet cookies from the bakery and they looked like it would be soft but the cookies were so stale and hard. I will never buy from that bakery again. Yes, the date on them were fine too. I am not joking l, the cookies were not crispy but old and brick hard.

Poor and dirty . Took 30 minutes before someone picked up the CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE 🤔. When the gentleman finally answered . He was downright rude 😡.There’s gotta be better training for workers . Customer service is KEY !!Asked , why a certain product is not found in our local store ? When clearly it is sold in all Safeway across different states . The answer I got . Was , Because you don’t sell the brand . The Brand you do sell . Sucks !! I hope in the future. You will carry Passion orange and Guava by POG!!!If customer service is not customer servicing? Then maybe you got the wrong people working our stores . Get it together Manteca SAFEWy !!!

So glad they are open until 2 am. On my way home from work, I am able to get anything I need at a clean store, convenient location and the service from the clerks is definitely 5 stars! Prices are pretty hard to beat! Highly recommended!

Didn't have the Fairlife Power Core. Nicer employees and no dog's.Dog's carry and get COVID-19!!The picture is of what I was looking for and all they carried was the big milk, cupcakes and the Chobani yogurt drink.UPDATE: I have now established a rapport with the staff. I get cases of my Chobani Strawberry, Banana Yogurt drink. They work with me and have kept me fed- Covid free.Thank you💯😇 Y'all are the bomb🔥

What a place. The quality of food choices is good. But lord do not go there to buy wine or liquor. The choices are terrible and you have to wait for freaking ever to get someone to unlock the cabinet. Just go to BevMo instead if you want choices that are any good and you don’t have to deal with stupid security policies.

Always a friendly and helpful staff. Anytime I ask which aisle an item is on, the associate will always walk me over there, even after I tell them that it’s not necessary. Awesome customer service!

SHOPPERS BEWARE! Senior citizens are being stalked and robbed at this store and Safeway is doing NOTHING to protect our seniors. This happened to my 91 year old mother in-law on 05/27/2023, they stole her cash, phone, and debit card. The cashier stated "It is happening a lot lately.", yet Safeway does NOTHING to warn or protect our seniors. I posted this on the neighborhood watch page and 5 other seniors stated that it happened to them as well. These criminals are working in pairs, pretend to help the senior when in reality they are distracting them while their partner gets in their purse!! Mike the front end director did not seem to care that her grocery money was stolen, guess this is business as usual. Chris the district manager was supposed to call me 2 days ago, I have yet to hear from him. There was not a security guard, nor were there any signs warning about the current wave of senior robberies. This store has gone down hill, and does not care about their customers. KEEP OUR SENIORS SAFE!

One of the better run Safeway's that I have been to.The staff that I have dealt with are courteous, the store is clean and well stocked.The member discounts are exceptional.Definitely one of my first grocery stops when shopping.

I'm submitting a new review as things have improved greatly. This is the type of Safeway I have loved over the years. Neat and well stocked. Including the meat department that for some reason was lacking a few months ago. Still think the handicap parking is, while very close to the entrance, is very difficult to back out of due to incoming traffic. A lil pricey, but they have great sales. So happy to have a Safeway in my new neighborhood.

I come into this store everyday for deli services. Today I was helped my Mary. I had a HORRIBLE experience being helped by Mary from the Deli. She complained over the duration of making my sandwich. She told me I was not ordering properly, and gave me a rude and disrespectful attitude. Despite my kind and patient demeanor, Mary continued her rude remarks and unsettling attitude even as she finished my burrito. After finishing, Mary put a different sticker on my breakfast burrito in order to charge me more. I mentioned to her that the other employees don’t usually use the Boar Head sticker, yet Mary insisted I pay extra due to my usage of the produce on my burrito.

I personally love this store but the deli and sandwich area needs to start hustling and taking care of people. They avoid you and hate when you need a couple items. They take their time and they don't rotate their meat it was discolored when I got home.

Fantastic. I went with the main idea of buying a banana cream pie for my husband's birthday. No pies at the bakery! So I asked one of the bakery personnel, and she offered to bake one immediately. It looks amazing. Great customer service.

I bought flowers and balloons here today and they told me they would call me when they were ready. They took the balloons and flowers and after I purchased them they re sold the same balloons I had purchased. And I have gone to many other Safeways and they did not leave the flower arrangement nice here: never coming here again what kind of flower arrangement is this. Garbage

I usually love Safeway but the one in Manteca is not up to par.The restrooms are filthy, the floors were disgusting, I had to try to step around wet paper towels, and used toilet paper it was so gross.

I do like Safeway, they have good produce, meats, sales and high prices. However, the advertising is somewhat misleading. I purchased "ice cream" - signature select. The price was to be 5.49 with the member price of 3.49. When I checked out at the register it was 6.49, member price 5.49. I confronted a store associate, and was told the 3.49 price was for the smaller containers. The price was right under the item that I was purchasing. I wasn't happy about this. So in the future, when shopping there, I will certainly ve watching.

Everyone that works here is awesome! Great Customer Service. Mistie, the Manager is awesome! Always helpful and always making sure customers are staying safe and receiving great customer service from her employees. I only shop here for all my grocery needs. It’s close to home and the store is clean. My only complaint are the solicitors outside that you know are not legit and like to bother people in the parking lot. But if you let management know, they are really nice about letting those people know they can’t be there.

The worst thanksgiving dinner I have ever had. I purchased their prepackaged dinner, the mashed potatoes were so runny. The stuffing was mushy and the turkey wasn’t completely cooked. Gravy was bland, the only thing that was good was the cranberry sauce. I won’t do that again. Thank god no was over just my husband and myself.
