This little store has a pretty good variety for the space they have. The prices are a little high on certain things, but that is expected for a place thats pretty isolated. They could use more staffing, but the staff they had were very friendly and knowledgeable on the products they have.

Rachel and Jennifer are some the greatest employees I've ever seen!! Quick to help you whenever you need something. They may be a little higher priced than Reno stores but they are also a 60+ mile drive to reno. You'll never have a bad experience if they are your clerks.

I have lived in Loyalton for 15 years and since the change of ownership at Leonard's I have witnessed the quality of staff and product go downhill. I do not shop there anymore unless it's a food emergency, even then they are almost always out or have discontinued whatever product I'm looking for. The produce is old, many times rotten still on the shelf! I have bought 2 bags of shredded cheese that I got home and found mold in them, looked at the date and found they should have been pulled off the shelf a week before! They order items that are not what small town people need and get rid of item people have always purchased.The staff: although some are hard working most are foul mouthed, loud, and inappropriate, in front of customers. More than not I have been checking out with clerks that smell heavily of alcohol! I have voice my complaints to the main store in Portola (as the owners focus more on that store) and obviously nothing has been done. It's sad to see our small town store go in the toilet. Because there is residents in this town that don't or can't drive, this is thier only store. They need to fix this problem!

Surprising selection for a small town store.More surprising are the insanely inflated prices. You could easily drive to Reno, load up with groceries and drive back for way less money. Example: $8.00 for mayonnaise!?!

This grocery store on the main street of Loyalton carries just about everything you need, like food and beverages, fresh produce, paper products and pet food. In addition, there are donuts in the morning, deli sandwiches ready to go and often roasted chickens and meats. You can fill the pantry or stock up for a picnic. There are bags of ice and individual ice creams to complete the package.
