Started bringing my poodle Pierre to wags to whisker’s in September. They assigned me a groomer which unfortunately for this review do not have her name, but she’s an extremely large woman who’s station is up front behind the register. Never had a problem with the grooming and if I requested something done it was taken care of and I always tipped her $15.Had an appointment for Friday December 22 2023 at 8:30am for the holidays. Get a call from them at 8:15 saying they have to cancel giving no reason. I assumed she was sick. But thought if you’re sick should have called earlier so other arrangements could be made. They said she had an opening at 8:30 on Tuesday. Which I thought if you’re sick how could you be back on Tuesday. I declined.They told that if a cancellation opened up they’d call me. Never did.Now Saturday December 23, the next day, on my way to the bank, which is right across from them, I look in and there she is at her station working. After the bank I popped in to let her know I’ve seen her.So if you want to be Disrespected, disregarded and not worthy of being a client, then by all means go to this horrible establishment.Alan Gonzalez

The groomer I took Prince Steve to before after discussing I wanted the Bichon style cut he had round head and all they just shaved him down. He wasn't matted there was no reason to shave him. Wags did a great job trying to get him back to what he was supposed be. By next time I go back he should be grown out enough to do right but they did a great job and he will go back again. Very nice people thank you

Great place my pup loves it. One star deduction because he did come home once with a bad shave but we have gone several times and they have always been nice courteous and they OWN THEIR MISTAKES which is a plus

THE best !!!!! I called them on Friday asking for an apt for a dog I had found off the streets that was in bad shape covered in mats everywhere (had already been seen by vet before making grooming apt). When the recepionist, who was so sweet and helpful, told me they could take her the next day I was ecstatic and then she top it off by asking if I could bring her in now to see if they could help. Michelle was her groomer and did a AMAZING job, basically given this little dog a new life. I already knew they were good because I recently starting bringing two of my own dogs, one of which is severely epileptic and needs lots of extra TLC, slow movements and extra patience. They manage to impress me every time. Thank you to all the staff there for being so genuinely caring.

So I really wanted to love this place truly. Here was the problem.Set up appt with lovely and courteous receptionist for my Kitty babyArrived at facility at 9 AM to drop her offReceived a call at around 12 PM that they cannot handle her.(she has been groomed many times before, not her first rodeo)When I arrived she was in high stress mode.I suggest they not combine the cats and dogs in same waiting area and they should have a separate room as the other Salons I have taken her too to from her.So to sum it up, if you do not have the space or people to groom a cat, do everyone the favor and just dont even try.

I love this place. I take my cat there every few months because she is a Maine coon mix and gets quite shaggy. I was hesitant at first but when she came home from her first visit she was like a new cat, happy and hairball free.The girl who grooms her does a fantastic job on getting out the tuffs of undercoat, her nails, and giving her a trim. She smells amazing for weeks and we get a break from the shedding. If you need a cat groomed this woman is a cat whisperer.

First time getting bootz a shave down and I must say Melissa is hands down amazing. She made me feel at ease about leaving him in her hands. We returned and he looked so handsome, she gave him the exact haircut I wanted him to have. He is definitely just laying around and enjoying his new hairdue. Will definitely be coming back every 3 months for my babies wellbeing! Thanks Melissa. And bootz says Thank you! Haha

My dogs have never been to a groomers before so they said that they will take it slow with my babies, they had a bath, teeth brushed, nails clipped..good babies! Both my dogs come out happy and smelling great for $80..and they gave me some sample dry dog food!!!

I am going there at least for 5 years. Michelle is awesome, she is an excellent groomer. Is not really easy to groom a yorkie shire and she does an excellent job. Before her, I could not like any other groomer. I really recommend!

Joanna has been Amber's groomer all of her 15 years and has always treated her with the most care and tenderness that I could ever ask for. This is a wonderful grooming shop and the people in it have become like family to me and to my dogs. Both dogs have passed now but I want to thank Wags To Whiskers for many years of caring and loving and professional treatment.

I scheduled a groom only and was charged for a bath, nails, and glands. I also have had Linda groom Maggie many times and this time her tail was completely ignored, ears and muzzle were cut very un-even. I won’t be going back!

I trust my wonderful dog Duffy's grooming at this clean and caring place. His groomer is Linda and in the past she has found a couple of times that Duffy had the beginnings of an ear infection. Duffy always comes out looking and smelling good.

Wags to Whiskers is the only groomer we will use in Long Beach. The staff take very good care of their human and canine customers. We have used Wags for many years and have never been unhappy with their work.We tried one other groomer in Long Beach a few years ago at the recommendation of a friend whose friend owned the business. What a disaster. I had no idea how bad grooming could be, plus putting my dog through hell with nicking her skin several times with the razor.Moral of the story, stick with what you know is good.

Terrible experience. Every time I call I get put on hold. The dog flips out and get sick there. They are difficult to get to in terms of appointments. Completely inflexible every time I call. Has the attitude that they are so busy that they don't need your business. So guess what, I am not going anymore.
