Great selection of dog accessories. A good go to for pet gear and food. The store and staff are very animal friendly and knowledgeable. Good place to go for all of your animal needs. Good quality products with plenty of information for your animal needs.

Very helpful staff on the phone. Its easy to blow people off on a call or not go the extra mile. This person was amazing helping me to choose an alternative to CHURUS. She even read me the ingredients!I called on Friday 1/19/24 around 5:30pm. Now go find her and give her a little bonus.Thank you!

This is a review for their veterinary service. I needed to get my rescue kitty spayed. I wish I had just googled it. Long Beach provides a service for $200.I took her to Petco since they have been doing all her vet services since I found her. They told me it was $250 which sounded fine but then I got a bill for blood work that was $250 and a bill for medicine and other incidentals that brought the total to $710 (to be fair $35 of that was for getting her chipped and $8 was forgetting her nails clipped) but anyway pretty close to $700. Thank goodness I'm at a point in my life that I can afford this now but if I had brought her in when I was in my 20s or 30s this would have broke me. Anyway they're great people and do a great job I'm just think you need to shop around if this doesn't work for your budget

I found what I wanted….but at the cash register I was charged the full price for the dried liver beef treats $40.00 instead of the « on special price « of $35.00, I complained, I was refunded $3.00 +taxes not $5.00 because the cashier automatically, without asking me made me give $2.00 for a donation to the store! I complained again to get my $2.00 back…What is that store trying to do to its customers?

Received excellent help from the store associate in finding and selecting a dog crate. I did not find the one I located online, and she looked up the SKU, found the crate I wanted stored in another section of the store, carried it to the front register and made sure they would price match the online price.

I want to say thank you to the Petco team!! They were so helpful and showed us great empathy when we came in urgently to figure out a solution for our little one who wasn't feeling well. They took the time to hear what was going on and gave us recommendations. I'm happy to report that he is now feeling much better and seems to really enjoy the food and treats that were recommended by this team. Thank you for your help and compassion.

Always a decent selection at this location. But, whenever I come in after 6pm I can't seem to ever get any help with fish. Every other location around; no matter the time or staffing, can accommodate my requests with ease. This location is the only to have problems.

This is a collection of rude Lazy people pretending to work . I took one of my dogs here for grooming , they wouldn't touch him because he had a very slight limp... so then she was trying to schedule him with their in house veterinarian... I explained he is 25 yrs old.. he is fine. She kept insisting on a very expensive vet visit..... trying to upsell me for something that is clearly not needed... he had been to his regular vet only days before and given a clean bill of health... DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.. THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL ARE HIGHLY OVERPRICED... AND THEY USE.. USED CAR TYPE UPSELL SALES TACTICS...

This location unfortunately has very misleading business practices when it comes to their grooming department. My wife was quoted a particular price online and they pulled a fast one on her and charged her more than the online price quoted her for. We tried to reason with them but they refused to hear us.We will never be coming to this location again or Petco for this matter when it comes to grooming, and we will be reporting this business to the Better Business Bureau for price misrepresentation.

The staff here has always been super helpful and friendly. I can honestly say t that after coming to this location for about 5 years I still see a lot of the same faces as I did on my first visit. They actually care about the animals in store like they’re their own pets too. This location is a winner for sure 👍🏻

Petco makes thousands of dollars every day. I'm one of the customers to support this sales..I spend always hundreds of dollars os ridiculous they don't have a extra shopping carts..this is ridiculous 🙄 I have to go back and forth for my items.

I found a red eared slider turtle that someone must've dumped on the beach thinking it would survive in the ocean. I went to Petco and they made sure I had all the essentials to care for the turtle. He also helped me make sure I had the best value. Love this store.

Sheila at Petco Grooming is amazing! She made our little guy feel very safe and comfortable and he was so happy after the service she provided for him. Thank you Sheila! Not to mention everytime we’re in this store location, everyone is so friendly and helpful and personable. Even when we move away, we’ll only be coming to this location.

It’s so hard to find a good groomer not booked 1233 weeks out, thank goodness for Cele. She made my princess look great. My dog thinks she’s a street fighter, so she came in a mess. Cele did some magic, her fur is so soft and she smelled amazing.Materials fee is annoying, would rather they just raise the price, but I guess inflation.Anyway, yes to grooming services here.

Meh. Granted, it was the Christmas Season when I visited, but the store was really picked-over, and unfortunately, I didn't find what I needed. Not many pet places in the immediate area, so that was bummer.

I made my appointment for my two pets to come in for grooming well in advance and day of, the women at the grooming station turned me away. I was told there is a 10 minute grace period and I was 4 minutes past that. I have never heard of this 10 minute policy. Ever. One woman in a condescending tone asked, "it doesn't say that in the text after you book?!" And I responded earnestly, no it does not. I even checked and can confirm there is nothing about a 10 minute cancellation policy.I almost cried on the spot because my dogs needed to be groomed specifically today and in the morning. Normally I would consider this an annoying inconvenience and I would reschedule. But I begged this woman to please take my pups because my mother who lives in another country is coming into town today and is staying with me and she is incredibly particular and is allergic to my dogs, especially my husky who was in dire need of deshedding.After the woman said they couldn't take the dogs she goes to the back to ask someone else if they could keep the appointment. Minutes later they come out and say it's too late. I begged them and explained my mother was coming into town and this was so important and told them if they stopped having a discussion about it and just took them they could get started sooner. One woman responded rudely saying "actually no we couldn't because another client just got here." So, you're telling me within the 14 minutes I was past my appointment time they would have had both of my dogs washed and well on their way to being done with the grooming and ready to take another client? They wasted an incredible amount of time just standing there and staring at me and each other. Then one woman says "actually we can't because I have a VIP client coming in". And then it all clicked. These women cannot manage their calendars and I don't believe they couldn't take my dogs they CHOSE not to because of a VIP client. Also, it's PETCO! What in the world does it mean to have a VIP client at a PETCO?? You're pet groomers not the hostess at Nobu Malibu.I begged again for them to at least take my husky and they offered a 1:30 appointment which simply would not work with when I needed to have the dogs grooming done in order to be able to pick up my mother. I made a morning appointment in advance for a reason. The woman repeated to me she had a VIP client coming and could not keep my morning appointment even if it was just the husky. I walked away in a panic and in tears. These women were unhelpful, unkind, and clearly unfair with their scheduling tactics to accommodate whatever in their minds constitutes a VIP pet grooming client. I'm posting this review here and anywhere else that will allow it and calling Petco to complain about the specific women working this morning. People make appointments in advance for a reason and they expect for those to be upheld for a reason. Additionally, I was 4 minutes past the "grace period" because I was driving from north Hollywood so we had been in the car for over an hour and when we got out of the car, I waited to see if my pups needed to pee or poop before going in for a long grooming appointment. They both had to potty and one of them even pooped and I took the time to pick it up before going inside. I even tried explaining this to the women as part of my effort to have them uphold my appointment, but apparently no good deed goes unpunished. These women had no empathy and were unkind.I'll end this with saying I've been coming here for years and have had the kindest customer service and these women were not it. One time the manager accidentally double booked me and she called me numerous times to offer the option to bring them earlier than their normal first appointment so she could accommodate. Then when I came in another groomer took the appointment from her so she wouldn't have too much on her calendar for the day. No idea what crew they had there today but I will be calling and filing a complaint for those women working at 9:30 am on 9/21/23.
