Very expensive dog toys....I bought 2 extra small rubber balls and one extra small treat dispenser and the treats to put inside of it for my friend's little chihuahua..... All for 27 bucks.....the dog isn't playing with them at all and didn't like the taste of the treats..... Can't take back darn it.....won't buy those type things from there anymore....but the staff is so sweet and helpful.... will go back for other things possibly.

I found the cat food I wanted and was happy to see it was on sale. Plus there was a manufacturer's coupon on the shelf, so I got a great deal overall. The gentleman at the checkout was very pleasant.

This review is for your grooming team….be more thorough with info! I used to take my dogs to their vet for bathing but it’s hard with work. I have gone a few times to petco grooming and the last time my dog got anxious. He’s 11, and the vet had given him medication to help. When I picked him up the last time I mentioned to the employee that I would give it to him ahead next time to calm him. No comment back nothing. I show up to an appt I made almost a month in advance, and stated on my own that I had given my dog trazadone the night before. An appt I’ll add that I had to move to accommodate your workers. Because I was going to do no kennel. Anyways…then I’m told as I’m standing there at 8:15am with my two German shepherds that I can’t bathe my elder dog because he had medicine the night before. I can’t believe last time I mentioned it they literally just said nothing. And I looked through various reminders and emails, nothing about knowing not to do that the night before. My vet said the actual affects don’t even last 12 hours. I understand policy.I don’t have time to run back and forth accommodating your staff. I will never go back. I’ll find somewhere that has better service and discloses that ESPECIALLY when I have literally said it in front of your workers.

Whenever I make my way to Petco in Lompoc, I'm consistently greeted with the kind of warmth and friendliness that instantly lifts my spirits. It’s not just about shopping for pet supplies; it’s about the experience and the people there who make every visit something to look forward to.The shelves are always stocked with exactly what I need, whether it’s the specific brand of food my picky eater at home prefers, the latest toys to keep them entertained, or the essentials that ensure they’re healthy and happy. It’s clear they put a lot of thought into their inventory, catering to a wide variety of pets and their unique needs.But the real highlight of my visits has to be an employee named David Marin. This guy is something else. The last time I was there, I was having a bit of a dilemma choosing the right product for my pet. Not only did David take the time to listen to my concerns, but he also shared his extensive knowledge, guiding me to the perfect choice. He didn’t just help me find what I was looking for; he made sure I left with confidence in my purchase.David’s dedication is a testament to the kind of service that makes Petco stand out. Fish have ich and will infect and kill any fish you own currently. The ones that got it first were attacked by the others for some reason they may have been trying to get rid of it?! I am apalled as my fish were doing fantastically for a very long time until I introduced a couple more from here. The children are very upset and the store will not do anything but refund the ones they sold. As if that takes care of the damages? The fish were raised from babies and were not very old. They were all healthy and there are only 2 of 5 remaining thanks to getting "more" from here.

This place is great! All my dogs go here. Prices are decent with plenty of packages to choose from. I felt bad for some of the staff after watching a customer act completely out of control but Nathan and Alana kept it professional and transparent. I will continue to come back here!

Alot if inventory. I have koi fish so I buy fish food. I also have 3 Scottish terriers and 2 cats. May be pricey but I'm in and out quickly.

Always a good experience at Petco the workers are friendly and very helpful I can’t lift heavy things and they loaded my 36 pound dog food into the cart and placed it in my car no questions asked and was glad to be of service I will continue to shop at petco

I question why a paying customer cannot take a 50 lb bag of dog food out with a shopping cart to their car. Why have shopping carts if you are going to tell customers that they can't use them. It seems backwards that a paying customer has to struggle because you are worried a homeless person is going to steal your companies shopping carts.

This is a review of the Pet grooming service. We have taken our rescued 18 month labradoodle to Lompoc Petco two times for grooming and we have scheduled his third visit. Parker and the rest of the dog grooming team did an excellent job. They were each friendly while professional. Their work was excellent. Sam is a happy and handsome puppy.

They have a great selection of cat food, litter, toys, and other cat necessities. I love that they have a donation area up front for our local animal shelter groups. I'm disappointed in the company only that they don't hire more people to help in the store. The employees there are overworked, underpaid, and the store would do so much better if they were fully staffed. That's just about everywhere these days though.

Incredibly nice and helpful staff. The store was neat and organized. I purchased my dog his Orijen food AND I found the glow in the dark / light-up ball that I’d been looking for which was on sale for $3.49 - overall a great experience. I will be doing my pet shopping at that location from now on. 10/10

My wife recently made a cat food purchase @ Petco, instead of Chewy because we wanted single cans to discover what new flavors our cat likes. My wife made this recent Petco purchase w/o my knowledge. Nearly a year ago, I had two bad experiences with the manager of Lompoc Petco failing to account for my expensive purchases towards Petco's point system. When the Petco manager smuggly dismissed my concerns that my purchases were not being recorded, I concluded that I was being discriminated against because I am a Black man and decided to never shop at Petco again. My wife is not Black, had forgotten my Petco experience from September 2022 and she had forgotten that I told her I would no longer shop @ Petco because of my experience with the rude & dismissive manager of Petco-Lompoc.

Groomers are crooks, and never answer the phone! So I took my dog in so they could see him to make an appointment to get groomed, was was quoted $41. for a full groom. When I was called that he was done the bill was $74! Never again!! They will lie about the price, and overcharge you!!!

The customer service here is a complete joke. The employees are never around to help, and when you do find one, they're "running to lunch." Myself and another couple spent 20 minutes trying to find someone to help us. The manager of the store is a total jerk and very unhelpful. He gives you condescending responses to any questions you ask him. Their fish are always sick or dead. Their reptiles are over crowded in tiny tanks. The rude manager, Nathan, acts like he knows everything about everything, even if you are an expert pet owner of whatever pet you're discussing. I have never encountered a more rude, disrespectful manager in my life. The store itself is really filthy, always out of stock of the items you go in for. DO NOT GO HERE.

Sadly, Petco has gotten really bad. I went to pick up a toy for our dog and it was covered in pee. Not a big deal I thought, I'll just go to one of the stations to clean up the mess that someone else made. Well, all of the stations were out of materials.So I asked the staff if we could get some cleanup materials, and I was given a look of disbelief. They stated that there were stations, even though I said I already checked and they were all out. The person sighed and said they would find something. They came back with a paper towel with a squirt of hand sanitizer. They never once offered to help clean up or anything like that.Besides that, the prices are ridiculous. I'm all for buying good quality toys, but everything is just way too highly priced. Unfortunately, I'll have to buy our pet toys from other businesses from now on.
