This was my first time at this store but my daughter has been going there for years. I usually go to Tractor Supply but it isn’t close. My daughter told me about Lomita feed so I called and they had everything I needed and local. Great customer service, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Hard to believe now days but it’s true. I’ll be back often, great store.

Love, love, love Lomita Feed for their individualized and helpful customer service. This is my go-to place for everything for my bunnies...from hay to rabbit pellets, to applewood chewsticks and twig tunnels.When I asked if a particular brand of rabbit pellets could be ordered for me, the staff ordered them and called me as soon as they were in stock.It's an absolute joy to shop at Lomita Feed !

Only way we keep our critters fed is with fresh, quality feed from Lomita. Year round they deliver fresh, green Timothy and grains for our layers. We've even gotten some of our layers from here. The kids always look forward to going on our feed runs and love seeing the babies when they're in stock. Growing up, we bought all of our clothes from the feed store. They had Justin Ropers in every size and Wranglers to wear a fresh Copenhagen ring into and for the girls to try to steal a patch from. I was stoked to see fun T's so that I could get back to my routes of clothes shopping at the feed store.

Everything you need for your mini farm! Super helpful and courteous. You can just pull up and have everything loaded up in no time, or set up delivery. We have been going here for 15 years. Always a great experience.

Best and probably only local feed store in the area. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. I get my dog food, chicken food and rabbit food from them. It's a family owned business and I always prefer to support the "little guy" over the big box stores.

Most of the young ladies that work there are very rude. Last time I went in one of the girls was blocking the way to the counter. She looked at us as we walked in and didn't greet us nor did she move so we could get by her. I had to say excuse me twice. Again no response she just moved about 4 inches over for us to squeeze by. We ordered our Timothy hay which increased from $7 to $10 and waited outside. The guys outside are always very nice and polite.

Love this place & always good to support our small businesses. We get hay & wood shavings for our Guineas and such a good buy, unlike the commercial pet stores that are very expensive for a nice looking bag. I would highly recommend this place for your needs.

I've been a customer here for like 3 years now but this tall young lady that works there should not be working at the front! She don't smile, say hi, thank you, nothing! She even try to charge me $129 for a 50lbs of lay mush at 50lbs scratch and yes she didn't say a thing she didn't apologize for trying to over charge me or at least tell me that she made a mistake! Their price is high compared online but i like to support local store. I will not be going back there. I'll just order online $20 for a 50lbs delivered to my door.

been coming here for a few months now and it’s by far one of my favorite feed places. so knowledgeable, helpful, and their pricing is great.had an issue with one of my bales of teff and they happily replaced the flakes that needed to be and then some. very grateful and always looking forward to coming back.

Very nice people. Went to buy puppy vaccines.. They carry good cat/ dog shampoo not a lot of options but what they have are actually the ones I get. Teramycin for dogs and cats who have eye infections same price as amazon but you can just get it there(for our rescue bottle baby kittens). More on the horse and chick side but has most essentials for cats and dogs. . Over all a good experience.

I've come here for years for my animals necessities (hay, feed, pine pellets, etc.). Prices are reasonable and the staff is always courteous and helpful.

I honestly felt like the older lady was quite rude. I understand if outside animals are not allowed but I don’t understand the yelling and eagerness to kick us out. I hope there was no hidden motive behind the way we were treated.

Thank you for being you @LomitaFeed Great customer service. Always go the extra mile. Prices are awesome and have those hard to find items. Love their location. Good parking. (Baby chicks!)Update: Hard to find what you need not here! I got a new puppy and couldn't find a quality leash or collar anywhere. My first choice on beautiful animal products but a drive for me and I always screw up and have to sit in traffic. It's worth it! I hate Los Angeles traffic congestion. I only brave it for you #LomitaFeed give all staff a raise NOW or you'll be sorry. I would recommend on all fronts. Bless you for being a pilar of business community. Thank you for handling it all for me. Thank you for being thoughtful to our community of animal lovers. I pray you sell your business to one of your staff because you have imparted your knowledge to them , it deserves to be handed down. I would gladly pass the Barton if I were you. Pretty bummed about my bale of hay. Super choppy and very dusty. I got the scraps for sure. My rabbits love the taste but were sneezing like crazy had to take them to the vet to be on the safe side. So money for the bale and money for the vet. Sadly won't be purchasing hay from this supplier anymore. Friendly service though.

I love having this local resource! The prices are higher than online, of course, but I dare anyone to stay in business like they are and offer those same prices. It costs money to run a small local business, staff it, stock inventory, and then on top of all that, provide hay that satisfies picky (fickle?) horse owners like me! If you want a business to be there for you, you have to support it!

I love them! I have been going here for quite a while, and they've always been super helpful. There was one lady who took a while to warm up (NEVER mean), but they're all really nice. They always offer to help, if needed, and if they don't have what I want/need, they always look and see if their supplier has it and if they do, offer to get it. They even help try to save me money, as they found a product that was cheaper, but the same exact thing, as I was feeding my horse and recommended it to me, and keep me updated on their future sales (I think they have one or two a year). Obviously, their stuff is a little more than it would be if you ordered it online, but I'll gladly pay an extra dollar here and there to keep fantastic people like these in business. I can't say enough great things about them.

These guys are over priced and have some of the worst grumpy jerks working there.(including the owner) They might have what you need, but who wants to spend their money at a business where they don't know how to treat customers with respect. No clue on the concept of good customer service. Everytime I have shopped there I have left with a terrible taste in my mouth. Never again. I am not spending another dime there. Looking for a new tack and feed store near San Pedro.
