Dr. Wiener is amazing. VCA charges us almost $2000 for a basic procedure to get an ulcer on my dogs eye fixed. Well their basic procedure didn't work so Dr. Wiener took one look and said "oh that's an easy fix". $419 dollars later and her eye looks way better already.

Unhelpful staff. I called to get urgently needed information about a pet that was a patient here a few years ago. Was told by receptionist that the hard copy of the record was in storage, so I could not get the information I need. Sucks to know that there's people in this industry who care so little about pets they won't go through a simple extra step to get people the information they need. Now my dog is missing and I have no idea of he was ever microchipped, but hey, at least that girl didn't have to look through any boxes. As a professional in animal medicine, I would never do that to a client or a pet.

Staff was super nice. The doctor was polite and asked lots of questions. My only complaint is that when I dropped off my cat they confirmed that he was there to be spayed and get his rabies vaccination. When I picked him up they forgot to give him his vaccinations and didn't offer to correct the issue. Oh and my cat was in a cold dark cage laying in his water bowl when I showed up. Nice people but not super professional

Fantastic Vet, Dr.Weiner is awesome and very knowledgeable. Brought my puppy for his first checkup. The whole staff is incredibly friendly, pricing is very fair, and they even sell dog food/treats so you do not have to go all the way to town to buy some.

Best doctor in Trinity county! My family has been going to the Doctor with our pets for year. Today they fit me in, in an already busy day, before the holiday weekend, and my cat, got some much needed medicine.

I will not recommend this vet to anyone.I am going to share my experience with non anesthetic teeth cleaning for dogs.First I rescued a dog 2 years ago who spent 3 months in a hospital with a necrotic rear leg due to having a string tied around it. The leg was amputated. There were many complications and due to that and the recommendation of my vet ( Neal Weiner)at the time I opted to have her get a non anesthetic cleaning.That means, no x rays were taken. I was told by the rescue ( in the Bay Area) that she had a dental cleaning before adoption. I had her teeth cleaned 16 months ago. I knew she was due, but health problems with my husband postponed her dental.After changing vets recently, I took two of my dogs in for dental assessment and set up appointments. Today they had a normal knock them out dental cleaning. Lily ( the tripod), what I learned tonight from the vet fills me with anger at myself, Neal Weiner, and the rescue. She had 19 teeth pulled, bone loss, several abscesses. The teeth in the back of her mouth were black and did not get that way in 16 months or 2 years. This little angel who has nothing to offer but love after a very hard painful life did nothing to deserve this. My new vet said a non anesthetic cleaning would not have been able to see the back teeth because she had a hard time even getting to them with Lily asleep. Very tiny mouth. The vet has tiny hands and tools.So let me run it down for anyone thinking of a non anesthetic cleaning, you cannot see everything going on in your dogs mouth without x rays. Some back teeth cannot be reached to be cleaned much less seen. The cleaning is basically a cosmetic cleaning because it would hurt the dog to get up under the gums with instruments. And the teeth cannot be highly polished when the dog is awake, causing a rough surface for bacteria and food to stick to.I am sorry I ever had that done, and I blame myself for allowing Neal Weiner tell me she was a good candidate for that type of cleaning. Be informed, it will honestly make your life easier.I recently in May lost a beloved pet, he had prostate cancer. A death sentence for male dogs. He was seen in Lewiston Animal Clinic on a Monday, his exam was not complete. When Neal Weiner attempted to examine his belly, he snapped at him. At which time Neal Weiner threw up his hands and stated that my dog had colitis, had he examined him completely he would have felt a bladder full of urine, a bowel full, and the "mass" that was infact his enlarged prostate. I was sent home with medication and $125.00 worth of new food for my dog. Back to the vet on Thursday evening, this time he felt the full bladder, "mass" and the full bowel. He catherized the dog without preparing for the urine that got all over my arms, the dog, and the table. An x ray was taken and I was referred to a Dr. who specializes in these types of illness. I was treated with kindness and caring at the specialist and had to make the decision to end my dogs life. I have been angry since May the Neal Weiner did not finish an exam on Monday and my dog had to suffer until Friday.

We were camping at lewiston lake far from home, and my dog started limping. The vet looked at my dog for free and told me she would be ok until we got home to see the normal vet! She was also very friendly and took us walk in!!
