The hotel was really nice and clean. I had no issues whatsoever. Staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Truly nothing better than walking in a hotel room with a microwave and a fridge it was the best thing ever. Breakfast was from 6-9am (if I remember correctly) I never got a chance to go due to my work schedule. They have a small gym consisting of free weighs a treadmill and a bike. Small and quaint. It was perfect and the gym closed at 10pm. Not a single complaint whatsoever. Appreciate all staff.

I pulled in to this hotel late on New Year's Eve after being unexpectedly delayed on my drive from San Diego to Sacramento. Given the time and the isolated location, I wasn't expecting much - but I was very pleasantly surprised. The young man in the office was helpful and professional, and the room was immaculately clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable with a number of very comfortable pillows. I would absolutely stay here again!

The location of the hotel was decent and the price was ok. The breakfast doesn’t have any toast or bagels but was reasonable. The issue was that there was a huge bug in the pillow (see the photos). And the management didn’t even apologize or anything.Rooms: Nice except for the unfortunate insect issue.Nearby activities: There is a western themed store/activity place across the street.Safety: Seemed safe.Walkability: Not that much walkable around the area.

Driving down to LA we decided to stop for the night. This was a last minute decision and we were happy to find room at a great price which was also closer to the highway and Tesla charging station. Pleasantly surprised to see the big clean room with comfortable beds and amenities.Rooms: Clean and comfortable room with microwave and mini fridgeFood & drinks: Hot breakfast and coffee

Please be aware that they have a non-refundable policy. I’m a regular guest at this hotel. I had an emergency and had to cancel two reservations. I was hoping to get some understanding, instead I got charged $200+ Not the best way to keep regular customers booking.

Checked in after a long day of travelling, asked for and was confirmed that we had a King room, but was given a queen room.As well.. ice machine right outside our door. Not sure why when not full, you need to put someone there.4:30am-6:30am.. constant very loud noise from people using.Tried to voice my concerns and issues with stay- 3 people at front desk , could care less, and did not even acknowledge me and just smiled!!Don’t think they care about their paying guests or property.Would recommend that you DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

I got a dog friendly room because my husband and I travel regularly for his business as a dog behaviorist and we always have a dog with us. We've stayed in a lot of hotels with our dogs over the years and there will occasionally be one that has a bit of a urine smell. It's expected ehen staying in a pet friendly place. However, when we opened up the door to our room this evening I got hit with the worst dog pee smell I've ever encountered in a hotel room. It's too bad because the bed is pretty comfortable and the bathroom is super clean. It's hard to be in here because the smell is so bad, which is ironic because I'm around dogs all the time. I guess their cleaning staff isn't aware that there are enzymes that can get rid of urine smell pretty quickly. It's also really loud here. The wall shakes when people are walking upstairs and you can hear literally everything they're saying. I was planning on staying here on our way back home, but we definitely won't be back. For $150 for a motel room, I expect more.

Had a wonderful overnight stay! Room was clean, modern and quiet. A/C worked great. Comfortable bed. Hot shower. OK room coffee maker. Appreciate all of the power outlets for charging devices. The only thing I would point out is that the shower head worked great, but the shower head nozzles needed cleaning.I enjoyed my stay and highly recommend Quality Inn Kettleman City!Rooms: Renovated and very cleanSafety: Parking well lit at night.

Price was good and easy to find off the highway. Arrived late after a long day of driving. Room appeared clean but when I pulled down top of sheet it had lots of hair on the sheet so stayed in the other bed with my daughter. Got up in the morning and checked bed again just to be sure because I had been very tired the night before. Found a used black sock further down in the sheets. Yuck!!! Told the front desk about it in the morning and they seemed unconcerned. Will not be back.

Went up Memorial Day weekend for a wedding in the SF Bay Area from LA. I was worried about the traffic driving on Monday back down to SoCal. Wanted to get a head start on the drive back on the long holiday weekend. Decided to leave right after we attended the Sunday afternoon event. I knew Kettleman City was about 3 hours into the drive so I booked a night stay so we'd only have about a 3 hour drive left and we were 3 hours ahead of most people. Everything worked out great. The room was clean and spacious for my family. We were able to sleep and bathe. Traffic getting to Kettleman City was not bad and I got there quicker than I expected. Check In was easy since I booked online ahead of time. The next morning we got up, are the free continental breakfast and were back on the road a little after 8. Check out was easy too. Got back to LA quickly and no real traffic anywhere, the grapevine, Valencia or 5/405 split. All a breeze. This was $ well spent, got back to LA in great time and was able to stop at this convenient very above average accommodation. I would do this again to avoid lots of holiday traffic.UPDATE - We stayed here at the beginning of Spring Break. It was a good stop like last time. The room was nice and clean. The whole family were comfortable and got a good night's sleep. We were able to wake up and get on the road in the morning.

I was traveling and needed to stop for the night. This place was in the middle of nowhere and didn't look like much from outside. I was worried it would be a rough stay but was pleasantly surprised. Room was very clean and on the newer side, quiet and close to alot of restaurants and Bravo farms attraction is right across the road. They had continental breakfast with eggs, sausage and waffles, there was juice, fruit, coffee, cereal and yogurt.Nearby activities: Bravo Farms us across the street.Food & drinks: Dennys, Starbucks and many other fast food places next door

I have stayed here multiple times. It is always clean and quiet. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are well maintained. My primary reason for staying here is that, while I travel with 3 dogs, I am still welcome. It is not easy to find a nice place that will accommodate my dogs. There is a very nice area to walk them, grassy and large. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I plan on staying here again if the opportunity arises.

The Quality Inn was fabulous for a motor hotel. The room was big, clean, well equipped and quiet. We had the dog with us and there were no issues. We will stay here again on our next trip north.

We stayed one night, arriving late at night. Check in was quick, the room was nice and clean, updated and comfy. Breakfast was decent, scrambled eggs, sausage and the usual continental assortment. A great place to stay for when you're passing through and want a comfy place to sleep. Not sure why the pool I'd filled with sand but we wouldn't have had time to enjoy a swim anyway. I'd recommend this hotel.

I’ve seen a lot of older hotel renovations which look like all they did is upgrade to hotel standards 10-20 years prior but this property has done an amazing job bringing this solid property up to modern standards with all new everything including beds, carpet, wall outlet & light switches furniture exterior paint parking lots lobby etc. this property is the nicest Quality inn upgrade property I’ve seen and if you look at my profile I’ve seen and reviewed several hotels and viewed over 14.5 million times. Kudos to the owners property manager of this location you’ve won a customer for life. I particularly like the large vehicle parking options and plenty of restaurants within walking distance and even electric vehicle charging on site and a Tesla mega charging station across the street.

This hotel was surprisingly excellent! Extremely clean, quiet, and well kept room. Front desk was terrific. Best breakfast selection I've seen since all the Covid restrictions started. Even good coffee.I used to drive Salem to LA without stopping but I'm getting too old for that. Hope to not drive it again if possible but if I do, I'll just plan on staying at this Quality Inn.Definitely many steps above ALL the other (basic) hotels I've stayed at along the I-5 to choose from within even an hour North or South.Stop early along your route or drive a little further (safely) and you won't be disappointed.

In a pinch, this spot has rooms and complimentary breakfast. The space is good for its price and clean at first. The bedding is soft and clean and very thick. The spacing is strange because you’re so close to the walls and AC, and there’s pretty cool lighting on the headboard. The coffee maker is easy to use and the cups and sugars and stuff are small but decently made. The fridge is spacious and the extra space allows for a longer stay. It’s the two uninvited giant crickets that scared me in the morning. One was in the shower. The other was by our front door. We don’t know where they came from or how they got in. But they stayed as we left that morning.

Pros: Rooms are clean, which is great. Towels are alright but not wonderful. Beds are clean and sheets are super soft! They give you 4 pillows which is also a plus. Management and staff are very kind and helpful.Cons: air conditioner doesn’t work great, we even changed rooms and still it was warm in our room and the noisy AC had to continuously work to keep it from being miserable. It was 106 when we arrived but even at 88 outside it still isn’t super cool. Pool is full of sand yet they advertise that they have a pool…..refrigerator in our second room was off and had a leftover half empty soda and stunk. Turned it on and it cooled down.Overall just wish that the management would have Ac on in the rooms that have been reserved before arrival to ensure that it isn’t super hot in the room when you arrive. The AC just can’t keep up at that point 😢

Nice hotel, the rooms were comfortable, and they allow pets. One thing I noticed though is their water is green when I put the kids in the bath. I did some reaserch and the water source of Kettlman city is contaminated with arsnic. I didn't see any warnings or signs up on the hotel. From what I could tell they started sending water to the city from the canal nearby, but of the 1500+ buildings that need it, only 360 have canal acess, the rest are still on the contaminated water.I felt I should say something because the next day my youngest had an itchy rash on all of her body where the water hit. My oldest thankfully only got some itchy patches, but wasn't bad. They both went away after a couple of days at home with our clean water.3 stars becuse the rooms were nice and the people were nice, but I am bummed they didn't tell us of the water issue, we would have at least not showered, and I'm glad my dog didn't get sick because I gave her sink water.

I usually don’t pick Quality Inns, but everywhere was booked, it was my only option and I was pretty impressed with what I saw.You can tell this place is newly renovated; fresh paint, new carpet, ambiance lighting—I’m talking dimmable light behind the new headboard—updated fixtures, and new furniture. At first glance you might judge this place, but be honest you weren’t gonna use the pool anyways. Lovely staff, mediocre continental breakfast, but you have to go to the 24 hr taco restaurant next door.As a female travel I would like to see the door locks upgraded.
