Location is under new management and you can tell they care about turning things around. Greeted warmly by staff. Happy to have choices that weren’t fast food burgers or boring Subway sandwiches. Food was fresh and hot. Manager offered my son a “secret menu” option for his quesadilla. My other son also has peanut and tree nut allergies and we had no problem getting him food that was safe for him. Building exterior could use sprucing up but interior was fine. Clean and basic but did the trick. Will definitely stop by on future road trips along 5 cuz I’m tired of greasy burgers and Subway.Dietary restrictions: Peanut & tree nut allergies

I don't often write reviews, but I was impressed with the staff at this location. There aren't a ton of good food options in the area, especially for vegetarians. The folks behind the counter had a great attitude and the meals were super flavorful.

I have never written a review before, but this was truly a bad experience. We went there and ordered two bowls, the guy at the counter ran out of rice so he went to the fridge, pulled out the tray and touched everything on his way there. When he came back, he continues preparing our food without changing gloves (he touched all the Ingredients with his hands). Being the millennial that me and my partner are, we didn’t complain and got our food. As soon as we left we threw it out and went to Subway. Ingredients also looked very stale and like they had been sitting out for way too long. Also, extremely dirty with all the Ingredients mixing with each other. This place should be called Baja not Fresh.

Just made a quick stop. The meet was good and juicy. Service was quick. If you ever drove by... it's a good option.Parking: Few spots but it's by a gas station so it's not for you to stay forever!

We were heading back from San Diego to the Bay area. The food was very good. Ordered a Baja bowl, Burrito and Taco. The customer service and the people were so nice . We headed back home only to realize 5 days later that I had forgotten my credit card at their facility. When I called, the lady who answered the phone was so pleasant and friendly. She said she had it. She then gave it to her manager who mailed it back to me. I want to thank Baja Fresh for their excellent customer service.....friendly and honest. THANK YOU! You guys are awesome.

We stopped here on our way down the 5 from NorCal to SoCal and I’m really glad we did! We received great customer service and the food was fresh and tasty! I distinctly remember the man behind the counter being very kind and helpful.The convenience store through the door to the right has restrooms that are as clean as can be for a high traffic stop.

Don't go here if you are used to Baja fresh. This was not good at all out of cups had coffee lids for the one size drink they offer. Didn't have items on menu and most importantly the food tasted anything but fresh. Do the bbq around the corner

We've been here once before and it was pretty good so we stopped by at lunch again today. The place was crawling with flies and my veggie burrito was really bad. The salsa must have been all the way at the bottom of the batch because it was mostly just spicy juice that poured out the bottom of my burrito and it was so sloppily wrapped the thing completely fell apart. The veggies were just mushy green peppers. I won't be back.

Very nice Baja Fresh in Kettleman City. Quickly ordered and quickly received my order. On a 20 minute break for the Amtrak Bus driver. Employees were very nice and thanked me for coming as I got ready to leave. Robert Worden, Riverbank, CA.

Stopped off here on our lovely trek form LA to SF. We were definitely disappointed. I guess this is an Express Baja Fresh, which means they have no sea food. That translates to no fish tacos...no shrimp salad... Ordered a bean and cheese burrito with pinto beans instead. There was one other person in the restaurant at the time (who had already ordered). Ten minutes later my number is called. I walk up for my food, but instead I'm asked if it's OK to have black beans instead because they are all out of pinto beans. Sure. Not sure why that took so long but sure. No one else has ordered in the meantime. Five minutes later I get my burrito. Not worth it.

Great little stop on our way back from Simeon beach. I got the Bare and split it with my wife. Customer service was good. Order was given to us in a timely manner. Place was clean.

I couldn’t believe how fresh the food was along with the BEST SERVICE!!!! The manager George makes sure your happy with your order & goes way beyond with outstanding customer service. His crew does the same. Very impressed with my experience.Every time I’m headed to No. Ca, this is my new stop!!Love you guys & girls

ordered chicken taquitos. received 5 very burnt things with completely flavorless beef-like stuff inside that had no seasoning and tasted like it was made from bland soy. should have come with guacamole(they were out at 12:30) didnt even try the overcooked black beans. split, dry....took one bite of "chicken" taquito and I had to immediately spit out. $9 for that mess I couldn't even enjoy one bite. do not trust this place. it is NOT fresh. just save your money and go to taco bell.

We stopped here on our way to SF and were extremely disappointed not to see the salsa bar. That's the USP of Baja Fresh over Chipotle and other Mexican fast food places. I wish they'd rename themselves to "Baja Fresh (no salsa bar)". It would save many long distance travelers an unnecessary stop over.

Nice service but the food itself is devoid of any memorable flavors. Sorry, but I would rather go to the in-n-out, which is worth the wait (and ensuing carb crash unless you go pure protein)

Wanted a carnitas burrito and a drink. At 5pm they were out of carnitas and only had water and jaritos in the fruit punch flavor. I ended up with a steak burrito and the 2nd to the last jaritos which was not even cold.

Had a great salad and chicken tacos! I was pleasantly surprised that the salad was cold, crispy and delicious. The 2 employees working 11/8/16 at about 2:30 were very pleasant and efficient!

Good food but horrible service. Took over 30min to get our food, they mixed up 3 orders before our order came up and couldn't even get our food yet because they were still trying to figure out the other orders. Everytime I go there they are also out of or dont have cooked half the food choices, out of ice and always out of soda. It sucks to because the food is always really good when you finally get it and always hot and fresh.

The food was good...but my wife had a gift card that has been in her wallet for a while and she really wanted to use it up...they made our food..handed her the card " we don't accept those at this location "she says. Lol..ok...why not...we just dont...2 stars 🌟

Disgusting, dirty place. Expensive. My bf's burrito made him sick and he had to turn on the light in the car because he thought the beef was raw chicken. Flies everywhere and extremely crowded.
