We had a delightful and enjoyable experience during our one-night stay in our tent. The friendly staff's behavior upon arrival, the captivating nature, the cleanliness of the environment, the abundance of firewood beyond imagination, the opportunity to make a bonfire, the provision of a table and chairs next to the riverbed, and... In summary, everything necessary for a memorable camping experience was present for me, my spouse, and our cat in this lovely environment. We highly recommend it to you.

LOVED IT!! We were in space 26. Our camping spot was about 20 ft from the river. Yes there is a city park on the other side of the river, but it is still nice. There's little man made shallow pools for kids to swim in on the side of the river. The river itself in this part of the river has a fast current for rafting, just bring swimming shoes because the rocks are sharp and slippery. Only one building of bathrooms in the entrance of the park and they are kept clean. They have porter potties throughout the campground. Campground office sells firewood and ice. The attendants of the campground are friendly and courteous. There's all sorts of businesses outside of the campground, even a grocery store. Overall I think the campground is located in a great spot.

Love this campground! Beautiful large sites...you can park any direction in your site you'd like, as long as your water and power reach. Not all sites have hookups, we were lucky enough to get one! They are dog friendly and very respectful. The movie on Friday was awesome and the bands on Saturday nights are a blast. This is our second year here and we've already booked our spot for next year!

Great place to bring your kids. The river here is calmer. It’s still kern so keep a close eye on them at all times the currents are very dangerous. Great spot to pan for fools gold. I’ve always had fun coming out here and nice place to come unwind from the city and see the beautiful fluffy clouds pass by. I miss it here so much!

We have been coming to Frandy for 7 years and we absolutely love it ! Great location on the river especially if you have children the water is calmer (aside from this year), bathrooms are decent compared to other campsites nice showers, staff is amazing we love the owner one of the main reasons we keep returning, Saturday movie night is a bonus my kiddos love it ! I would highly recommend staying at Frandy if your visiting Kern perfect walking distance to everything !I commend the staff here especially after the floods they worked their butts off to get the camp back to normal with what they could without raising prices! Our site books out a year so we were really looking forward to our trip and unfortunately our site was ruined it’s now apart of the river and the owner made sure to get us in an amazing spot to accommodate. Thank you and can’t wait to come back next year!

I had an exceptional camping experience at Frandy Park Campground this summer! The picturesque surroundings took my breath away, with lush greenery and majestic mountains in the backdrop. The facilities were top-notch, featuring clean restrooms and well-maintained campsites. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure our stay was comfortable. We enjoyed exciting outdoor activities like hiking and fishing nearby. Frandy Park Campground is truly a haven for nature enthusiasts, and I can't wait to return for another memorable adventure! Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

By far the most family friendly campgrounds with helpful staff 24/7 security. Consistency maintaining the grounds. Hot showers walking distance to diners outside the gate. Fishing accessible handicap friendly and pet friendly. they set up welcome birthday balloons for my daughter and wished her a happy birthday on arrival.

Decent campground. Clean restrooms/showers. But the many port-a-potties give the whole campground a continuous smell. (My site was 19 near them) Fun wildlife like skunks and bats on the river shore made evenings interesting. They showed a movie at the back of the office which was cool. Lounging chairs up front and vehicles in back, drive in style. Nice place for big groups. Games like ping pong, volleyball, foosball, ate available thru the office. We had a great time there!

Nice trip with awesome views when coming from Bakersfield. The campground is well located. I want them to add signs to make the people more aware to keep the surrounding are clean, specially close to the river.

Beautiful place to stay and camp. Even if you don't have a trailer there is places for your tents. They also have plenty of restrooms throughout the camp site and nice and clean showers. We so enjoyed ourselves and made more amazing memories. Highly recommend this Frandy campground.

I can't believe all of the great reviews here! This place consists of nothing but powdery Dirt and gross portable restrooms. Everytime someone drives through the camp site there's a dust storm. It's so awful here you couldn't pay me to come back!

Great campground right on the Kern River! The folks that run the place are wonderful!! You are right on the water here There are very nice restrooms with hot showers for a few quarters. Portapotties are lighted and kept clean. There are covered wagons available to rent that sleep six and a local place to rent trailers. You are in walking distance from quaint town shops and restaurants. This campground can handle large groups for events. I will definitely be back!

Great outing for them bakersfield "day trippers". Pack a lunch and drive on up. The Kern River is at its full potential. So take heed to the areas with warning signs for "Stay out Stay Alive". The waters are dangerous but also in the controlled areas there is kyaking and river rafting for your enjoyment. There are a ton of events in the summer months with museums hiking trails and lots of food and shops to explore.

This place was okay. It's across from a public park which means kids and drunk guys find their way walking across your campground. It's nice if your older and want to watch people tube down the river over and over again. They rent BBQs and let you check out games for free. We didn't care for being sandwiched between two large groups bumping their watcho music at 6 in the morning. Other than that it was okay.

Highly recommend this location! Sites are a good size. Staff very friendly! Washrooms/showers (coin operated) are clean. Very family friendly, with lots of games, a free movie night, wagons to rent, free horse wagon rides. Walking distance to park and town close by. The river is nice but not for swimming - very fast running and very cold. The only negative we would say is that there is not a lot of space to sit by the water - only for the sites along the water, and a small beach area for everyone else to share.

Very well maintained campground friendly staff. With the floods this year and the high water, they where every accommodating to us with our regular sites under water this year. The staff went above and beyond this year to make our camping experience enjoyable for our group. Thanks for making our trip very memorable.

Frandy is a great park right on the Kern River and right in the center of town. The management is extremely professional and the facilities are kept up very well indeed. There is plenty of room for every RV size and we were even able to get a pull-through. The only down-side is that when the wind picks up there will be excessive dust so just manage your site in anticipation of it. We camped at Frandy Park Campground in a Motorhome. Obviously, there is the river: rafting, fishing, swimming, etc. But this is a premier hiking destination as well so take advantage of it. Also, this is a great place to ride bikes. The antique shops in town are way above par and there are plenty of good eateries. Do not miss the food at Kern River Brewing.

this place is awful as soon as we got here the workers were rude they make you wear these bracelets the whole time and its horrible if you are any race but american then you better stay 600 miles away cause these people are major white trash the town here is so horrible and racist i was walking across the street and some lady literally honked at me and flipped me off because of my skin color there is nothing but a vons and thats miles away the little town has like no stores except overpriced vintage stores the camp ground has porter potties and nothing but dirt no roads just dirt the river is super gross and fast and honestly you cant even pay me to come back here its probably the WORST camping place ive ever been to in my life and the showers are super overpriced for like 1 minute it costs like 2 dollars just to start the shower and its cold they have a ton of wasps and the drive up here was a living nightmare its overpriced and horrible there is literally nothing to do over here id rather camp outside of the vons than to be in this campsite the people here are NOT friendly to visitors at all people are very rude NEVER AGAIN.
