We stayed with 2 adults and 2 kids.Perfect location, very nice staff, the pool was perfect for the kids.Great location to go for epic drives and see giant sequoia trees.Close enough to the little grocery store in Kernville. The room itself was very rustic. I'm very picky about hotel rooms and this was below my typical comfort level but again I'm incredibly fussy. Its a cabin in the wilderness and staying here was more about me getting over my prissy self. The kids loved it and had no issues. There are no Holiday Inns or the like in this areas and most of the little hotels and motels around the area offered the same rustic cabin-like experience.

I've never stayed here. Just went down to see where Bull Run Creek enters the Kern River, across the river from the resort. But it looks like a decent place. Not a bad location with river access. A little tricky to find but the sign out on the road should indicate where to enter property.

I've been here three times now, It's a great place for folks of all ages. Our king bed was the best quality, so comfortable! We love having the studio with full kitchen, dining table and various sitting areas, it is very roomy! The fireplace is lovely, too We could hear the river from our cabin, as well as the frogs croaking. I could sit on the patio for hours and just soak all that nature and fragrance in--those views of the mountains!!The staff is incredible, gracious and full of info if you ask. The pool is clean and easily accessible, and you park right next to your cabin. I love this place so much that it is now a favorite of mine over higher end places along our California coast. I love entering the Sequoia National Forest from here, and I love short drive to Kernville to dine in the restaurants. Thank you to the staff at Falling Waters for making our visit memorable once again.

This is our home away from home. We live an hour away and happily pay the rate to stay here just to get away. Billie and Tina are great people! The grounds are beautiful and the pool is better than a 5 star resort. Everything is always clean and comfortable, and it's great for families or just a couples get away. I'm so grateful for such a wonderful stay everytime. Thank you for your hospitality!

This was one of the most pleasurable places I have ever been. Great for holidays due to the mini kitchens, and just a great family time! Even during the winter months it was soooo beautiful to wake up to a blanket of snow. We used to wish we could live there year round. And really a reasonable price.

This has been one of my favorite places for many years. They are pet friendly, clean, nice people and right by the Kern River. Right now the fire is relatively close and the air is full of smoke. Given the current situation I would have appreciated a lower room rate especially during the week.

I started coming here about 4 years ago,it’s the best place ever, rooms are clean , staff is great.. love Tina and billy, now when I call, they know my voice, yep, it’s my home away from home, and the pool, is awesome.. so glad I found this place!! Family /pet friendly… not to mention budget friendly, for the size of the rooms, my favorite is the Victorian, room, at night, it’s so peaceful, just sitting outside, listening to the river, and nightlife, of the wildlife..We have stayed in many other places up and around kernville, but we always come back here!!

Very kind staff, room was clean and smelled nice. We had all the kitchen supplies we needed and played some board games they offered to us. Spotty wifi and the shower head could use a clean, but other than that it was great!!

We stopped to look at Falling waters for a location for our wedding. The owner took us around and showed us at least 5 different rooms. They have the more traditional motel rooms and cabins with kitchenettes that include everything except your food. Also pet friendly. The motel type rooms are freshly renovated and are stunning. No 2 are the same and they have themes. The Victorian, king Arthur's room....many more. Some have wood burning fireplaces and others gas. Very spacious rooms. All have a pullout couch or a futon in them. Fridge microwave table to eat at. The non kitchen rooms are $150 and kitchenette cabins are $125. During off season its pay for 2 nights get 1 free. Few feet walk to river. Lots of open landscape. Each room/cabin has it's own briquette bbq. I cant wait to stay here.

Decent place a little out of the way. The pool area was nice, but the grounds and the exteriors have some deferred maintenance. The rooms are clean, orderly, and very large. They have kitchenettes with full refrigerators. Some rooms are themed; ours was out of King Arthur. Hot water comes immediately and the shower heads are in good condition. All in all, not the Taj Mahal but decent.

This is the worst place i have ever been to! The staff was not very kind, nothing seemed to work! The fridge in my room gave out and most of my kids food went bad! There was no hot water for a little while and the stove in my sister in laws room didn't work! My family and i rented out 3 cabins and they overcharged us! Do NOT go to these cabins they are the worst!!!!!!!!! Very dissapointed!

First came to Falling Waters about 18 years ago and have been coming back ever since. My family and I love it here. Billie and Tina are the best! They treat you like family! Wouldn't stay anywhere else. Bbq pit outside each room and all the amenities you need inside. Located right along the Kern River. Spectacular evenings!

Great place for R&R&R (Rest, relaxation, recreation)! Staff is wonderful. Billie and Tina are lovely people! Units (rooms) are spacious, clean, comfortable. There is a very sweet "yard" area with bbq and picnic table right in front of each unit. A wonderful place to gather with loved ones. I have been coming here for over 19 years with family and friends ranging from 2 to 91 years in age, staying in the "Riverfront" units. My brothers and I just brought Mom back last weekend! She's 91+, and though she is slowing down, she talks often of her trips to Kernville/Falling Waters. The community has something to do for all ages, such as swimming, hiking, fishing, river rafting (Chuck Richards offers this adventure), or driving up along Sierra Hwy. toward the magnificent Giant Sequoias. There are many different places to stop and fish or swim along this roadway. And you have Lake Elsinore nearby! A great vacation spot not too far away! Awesome place to create good memories! TERRI....

Decent rooms and the staff are very nice. There are a few review taking about bugs, which there are, but you are in a cabin in the woods, so this is expected. Overall I enjoyed my stay here.

Each room a quaint and well done design of its own in the bea-u-ti-ful surroundings of the Kern River Valley, even a small piece of the river to stick your toes in and the sounds of rushing waters. A pool to escape the summer heat and AWESOME management and upkeep! The only place I go for a break in the valley😍😍😍P.S. They are pet friendly, fur-babies welcome 🐶🐱

Great place for talking business while fishing or in front of your cozy cabinlike unit. Great thing is, you can gather around the fire at night and be right in front of all 10 or more units, Great place for a convention I'd say!

The rooms are absolutely gorgeous. The service was good, but the rooms had a cozy fire, small kitchen, great lighting, and I really enjoyed my stay.

This place is the most peaceful place right on the river that I have been to ,my Husband and I always stay here whenever we come to Kernville ,Lake Isabella, and the Kern River for three years now we have been treated like family. We have always a warm welcome from the Ladies whenever we stay there .

A wonderful place to relax, unwinding from the frenetic pace of city life. Staff is very friendly and cabin rooms facing the river have different decorating themes, giving them all varying personalities.

In the post season, had a nice quiet stay. Enjoyed the pool, and later the stars. Room was spacious with a small but functional kitchen.
