I like to shop here on Saturdays and get the $5 off $25 or more and buy my Tide, Downy, Dawn, paper products, Dove body wash, cat food, cat litter, milk, cheese, ice cream, cereal, tortillas, canned goods, coffee, and Dr. Pepper. Their prices on those items beat everyone else, including Wal-Mart. The only two things I don't like is that they do not carry fresh produce or fresh meat and they are always out of stock on a lot of items, due to the large volume of shoppers. Other than that, I love this place!

Sodas were buy 3 pack Pepsi for $12 did not ring up. Rang up 7.50 each. Dude stood there staring at receipt for a couple of minutes. Ended up getting refund and left. Stop hiring tweakera!! They have no idea what is happening in that store.

Great deals for low or high end budgets. Store clean and wellorganized. Clerks very helpful and friendly. Plenty of $1.00 merchandise and other priced items are reasonable. Mask required and the clerks are behind a barrier. Open till 10pm.

This store is very clean even though it's very busy, good management and helpful employees. Great for a quick thirst & snack run or toiletries, their food prices are about the same as a regular grocery store. I even bought a $10 dress there pretty enough to wear on a date, now that's value!!!

Always great service, pretty clean and well stocked. I'm thankful they built this store here in Jamestown! I don't have to go all the way into Sonora for just a couple of things. I can go right down the street and they usually have what I'm looking for.

Any time you want to make a fast purchase try Dollar General. Small budgets, large budgets, they have the items that fit your wallets. Everything from milk to Asprins and much more. Love these stores.

They could have had four star review from me. The problem I have is that I'm 55 years old and if I stop there for a pack of smokes I don't want to show some kid my ID. I think we're well past that and I look a little bit older and weathered and I don't need to show them my ID. In fact let's make this two stars and I stopped going there

My favorite place to shop! Very friendly staff! And open late! Very convenient for Jamestown Ca. And great prices. I love the digital coupons and every Saturday if you spend $25 you get $5 off!

They seem to run out of common items such as milk slot and they limit your bags of ice to 2 per person. Also they need to open earlier considering they are the only dept. Like store in Jamestown and it would be nice to be able to get needed items before my child goes to school by Dollar general doesn't open until 8 so it makes it impossble to do unless my child is late to school.

Same premise as the other "dollar" stores. Canned food mostly either not common brands or product lines from brands that didn't sell well in regular grocery stores. Not a bad place to go if you need something quick and cheap.

Good selection, good prices, clean store. Only detractor is the parent company wanting to open up stores literally every 5 miles or so across the county, which is very rural. Every little town they have proposed opening up a new store.

Well I normally go through dollar general for birthday balloons. The last time I ordered I was asked to please call in advance the next time we have such a large order, so as to give them enough time to prepare the order before I come in to pick up. Which is absolutely no problem. However, I called yesterday to make the order and was met with a manager who laughed and insulted me right off the bat. Telling me they do not allow people to call and make the order ahead of time. It was her delivery of said message that really upset me. I can’t believe this woman is a manager there. Anyways I ended up calling dollar tree and they thanked me for calling a day early for such a large order. I’ve never been spoke to in such a matter without any provocation. It’s sad to see the state of customer service these days.

Parking lot, surrounding area covered with trash. Butts and oil stains everywhere. No pride in ownership. Inside felt like a flea market. Disappointing all around.

One afternoon I stopped in real quick for packaging tape. As I was getting it I saw the girl at the register. This man walked very quickly out of the back totally complaining and yelling about something. The girl just kept saying to him that it's ok, to just calm down, it isn't that big of a deal, she'd take care of it. He kept on ranting. She just kept repeating for him to stop, there were customer's in the store, for him to go in the back, it's not a big deal. He was like,"I CANT DEAL WITH THIS SH¡T anymore!" When I went to pay I asked if everything was ok? She said yes, he does this ALL THE TIME. I than said," THAT isn't ur manager is it?" She said it was. I was amazed that a manager would ever throw such a tantrum like that at any time much less out on the floor in front of customer's. She totally agreed and said she's tried to explain that to him before but that he just doesn't see it, doesn't get it, or just didn't care. I ended with that was really to bad that he was only making himself look terribly unprofessional and how unfair it was for her to have to work and have to deal with that everyday. She agree completely.

I do a lot of shopping for our veterans and other community people in need, and Dollar General offers a lot of affordable items that make each dollar stretch a little bit more. The "clearance" section, in every dollar general, is laughable. Every store has different "rules" or policies. This section is for inventory that no longer has a place on a shelf, but that they still want full price for.

Tim and his crew ALWAYS make me smile n' laugh, and always go out of there way to assist me whenever I need help, and even manage to keep straight faces when I ask quite stupid questions. (RETAIL RULE #1: The customer is ALWAYS confused.) LOL! :)

We stop in here once a year to buy teddy bears to throw at the Teddy Bear Toss for the Stockton Heat. They usually have a good selection at a fair price.
