The variety of different types of meats/marinades makes this place a “diamond in the rough” Meat selection is awesome, combined marinades. All different types of sausage/links is great too. I’m excited to try the elk burgers for sure! It’s nestled in Jackson and kind of hidden if you are not from there. I would recommend to take an ice chest so you can filler up ;)……the customer service is absolutely Fantastic……….this is a photo of my 1st haul from there and plan to do a “pre-order” next time!!!

Swingles is a GEM!! From the quality to the customer service everything is 100/10!! Oh Don’t even get me started on the marinades!! If you ever get the chance you MUST get the Kona tri tip, chili lime tilapia and pineapple chicken!! Just amazing!! We drive all the way from Sacramento just to stock up on their meats. There is no where else even comparable on pricing or quality! Do yourself a favor and just visit swingles, no matter what you buy you will be more than satisfied!Oh and don’t forget a pack of their beef sticks for the road another 100/10 and for only like 3$ you get 3 huge sticks! Can’t beat it!!

BEST BUTCHER SHOP IN NOR-CAL!! They have such a crazy variety and quality!! They have fresh kills, frozen, fresh marinated, and frozen marinated, chicken, rabbit, elk, buffalo, lamb (OMG the lamb selection) they have meal prep kits, marinated, basically pop them in the oven, ready to go. The girls are so energetic and helpful and super sweet. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

We always shop here for our meat but these past 2 years we have ordered the Thanksgiving turkey and Christmas prime rib... there is not enough stars to leave a correct review. They're amazing!!!! You have to try them! Order ahead of time.

Holy smokes! The prices are very reasonable and they have a vast selection of meats. Chicken, Beef, Venison, Elk and even Bison is available here. The seasonings are also amazing. This is a must stop if passing through Jackson.

Great customer service & Great meats!This is a place everyone needs to stop by and try. And once you do, you wanna go back and tell them take all my money. The different marinades are really good, and all the different meats are great as well. We have not been disappointed. Also, I know a lot of people rave about the Kona marinade, but in my opinion the ranchhouse is AMAZING!

Always a go to spot for local meat! Kona Tri-Tip always hits home for any guests. A hidden gym is their ravioli. Can't beat their bacon and sausage. Great for some biscuits and gravy. You won't be disappointed other than you didn't buy enough.

I've been going here since I moved to the area in 2005. Excellent quality, large selection and if you want something already marinated they have a tasty variety. Prices are comparable and in some cases cheaper than the grocery store. My favorite are the Kona baby back ribs.

Always friendly. They many types of meat. Not all are on display. They do custom cutting. I ordered a 1 inch thick ribeye steak. They cut it, brought it out and asked if it was up to my standards. Their premarinaded tri-tips and sausages are great.

There's a lot to like about this place but also, I have some gripes.Love:Pork tri tip (fresh and frozen available)Beef tri tip (fresh and frozen available)Fresh baconI would say that 75% of the options available here are marinated and another 65% are frozen. That's not exactly what I expect from a butcher shop. A butcher shop is a place I go to get the freshest meats, to discuss how to cook something I'm not familiar with and to splurge on a high end, quality hunk of meat. Unfortunately, that's not the case here.I asked for a fresh ribeye, cut 2" thick and visually (once I got home and actually saw it) it was nice. However, it's painfully obvious that they serve up USDA choice beef, the lowest quality on the map. The beef cooked terribly, was grisly and extremely poor quality. The price does not reflect the USDA choice and that's not cool.Skirt steakAgain, low quality. Defrosted it and took it out of the packaging. Boy oh boy. It just looked awfully tough! I grilled it up and the flavors were okay, because again, almost everything is marinated. But the quality of the beef is exceptionally bad.I gotta stop spending my money here.

Enjoyed stopping by during a winery trip to the area. Large selection of different meats, especially marinaded cuts to bake or barbecue at home. A good selection of lunch meat cuts too. I took home a Kona pork tri-tip, pastrami and salami. All were delicious and very reasonably priced. They had a lot of staff working, all of whom were friendly and helpful when we had questions. Most everything was prepackaged and not much of a display like other butcher's I've been to, although that could be because of the type of "foot traffic" they get. Definitely recommend if you're in the area to stop and grab some meat to cook up or enjoy later.

I grew up going to Swingles Meat Co. They are cheaper compared to regular grocery stores, and their meat quality is not even comparable to others. It's good quality, with amazing taste. It's also my favorite place to buy jerky! The only downside about them, is that their seasoned meat does have nitrates in it. Though this is the case for lots of seasoned meat everywhere. It's better to just buy plain, and do the seasoning yourself now. Nitrates aside, their flavored/seasoned meat is phenomenal! It doesn't hurt to have it once in awhile.

Excellent selection of quality meat. Some of our friends recommended this place and shared what they had and we were immediately hooked. It is a small place and there were quite a few people inside and a line out the door when we went so we felt rushed. I don't blame them for this because their friendly staff did their best to answer our questions and not make us feel rushed. Will definitely be back.

If you are ever driving in or around Jackson California you have to stop at swingles meat on highway 88 just before you drop down into the historic town of Jackson. They have some of the best meat I've ever had all the different cuts in varieties that you can choose from. From stuffed pork chops the stuffed chicken breast cordon bleu Beef Wellington not to mention their deer salami. But my favorite far from the rest is mother lode tri-tip it's something you have to experience. Anyway for a good piece of meat stop at swingles and don't forget their Honey Smoked Bacon and they're excellent jerky I could go on and on and on but I'm not going to stop at swingles meat in Jackson you will not regret it I guarantee.
