We do some shopping here, but usually only when the other grocery store in town is out of the items we want. This is a nice store with a good selection, but the prices are higher than other stores.Today I stopped in to get my flu shot, with only a 15 min wait and some paperwork I was all good to go.

Shelves are half empty throughout the store. Went to grab a doughnut from bakery case and there were no tissues or gloves to do so in a sanitary way. I asked bakery clerk and she said "Yeah, we're out, sorry" wow, I'm considering a report to health dept because this is unacceptable. Prices are ridiculously high so safeway corporation has money to keep these mandatory supplies in stock. So incredibly unsafe!

The last time I shopped at the Martell Safeway, my cart half full of food was put away. I had to use the Men's room and left it for less than 3 minutes! I came back to the isle I kept it and it was gone! I asked one if the employees and they didn't know anything about it! It had my shopping list right on top. I had to redo all my shopping, trying to remember what was on my list! Instead of putting everything away right away, maybe they could hold it in the back cooler for 10-20minutes just in case someone comes back for it?

There's room for improvement with the produce department, but overall the store has a nice selection of food. It's organized and clean. Deli area has a great selection of pre-made ready to heat/go snacks, appetizers, lunches and dinners. Bakery has a variety of things to choose from. A Starbucks is located inside as well.

Not happy at all I went to a person who was handling the self check out and ask her for the Starbucks manager and she was about to ask the girl who was working in there and that I was having a issue with and I asked her please don't tell her or ask her I don't want her to know and somehow she found out I was complaining about her very unprofessional when a customer wants to talk to a manager that needs to be private and not be telling that person at all

This Safeway has been a wonderful store to grocery shop in. I love their deli department —their sandwiches are fresh made and always delicious! We buy from the grab and go area quite often. I shop from their weekly ad to collect gas rewards. A welcoming environment for ALL! 🇲🇽🇸🇻🏳️‍🌈🇺🇸

Store could be more clean. The belts that you put your groceries on are very dirty. Dogs ( except true service dogs )should not be in store. Especially in baskets. On my way out I observed multi colored flags supporting negative lifestyle. Do you have Amdrican flags in your d tore?

The best grocery store in town. Excellent customer service. Favorable deli counter. AWESOME bakery & staff with the best goodies! ( Suggest the cinimin rolls!!!) The meat counter has great selections for all meals. I like their Marinated Meats. Safeway also has a wide selection of fresh & local produce & Flowers For The Wife... Also, they need to recognize their liquor department. Can I say SELECTIONS!!! My family loves the Safeway shopping center in Jackson, Ca. From Safeway Gas, PetCo, American tires , and Starbucks to Game stop this shopping center has a lot of everything my family needs... This Safeway is just a GREAT STORE, only one thing.Just wish their pet section was a bit bigger & better...

It's very convenient with the store being less than a mile away from my house, always has what I need and using the member card has its perks, you may not save a significant amount of money but with times like this every penny saved is more than welcomed

I normally never write reviews for things, but here it goes. I usually always have the BEST experience using grocery pickup, but for the past 2 pickups, I have had over 100$ worth of groceries not make it to my car. When my receipt says it’s in stock and I have it.. when in fact I never even received the item. This is beyond frustrating. The first time it happened I put in a refund request on the app and till this day have not received my refund for missing groceries. The second time I was pretty fed up.. I spend over 300$ and probably ended up with 130$ worth.. and again it said I had all my groceries when I didn’t. I called the store and spoke to a nice lady.. I explained the situation to her, and she told me she did not have the rest of my order.. that made me pretty upset.. then all the sudden she found the rest of my order there. I’m hoping there isn’t someone working there that’s stealing peoples groceries, and this was an honest mistake. But this is people’s hard earned money! Groceries aren’t cheap! Thankfully I live close by and was able to make the extra trip to go back and pick up the rest of my order. I’m hoping by this review they can get it together.

This was a first for me. I went to Safeway as a delivery person for a major delivery service to pick up a customer order. I followed the directions to the "T" as one would say. I learned real quick about the mapping skills of the app and to use better judgement on that or I would have had to go to Sutter and make a u turn to get there. The directions say go to customer service.... Uh... No Safeway has an area just for this purpose!!! Who knew? It was clean and organized and the person working was happy and great to work with. I look forward to doing more pickups there as it was seamless and effortless. The store looks amazing from outside and impressive as you walk in. As a newcomer to Safeway I cannot wait to see the rest of the store. I hear it is amazing...From what I saw they gave a lot! There is even a Starbucks right inside the front doors. I've gotta get my Safeway on ASAP.

Very difficult shopping anytime after about 8pm or 9pm, although the store closes at midnight. The "overnight" stocking starts FAR too early.Thursday 3/9 was the worst of it with one stocker actually tossing cases of product toward my cart more than once 😆 I know the store was closing early because of the weather but dang, dude. I absolutely did my best to stay out of his way and be polite. Maybe he was having a bad night, it happens, but it was a bit dramatic and unnecessary.

I'm really getting tired of you guys closing early. There is absolutely no reason for you to be closing the store due to the weather when it is literally only raining down here. Being short staff due to weather conditions up the mountain is still no reason. If your short staff hire more people that do not live up in the snow! In a small town we need stores that stay open late and Safeway is the only one now

I bought a large ambrosia salad from the Martell Safeway yesterday.It tasted SO MUCH like the can I ended up throwing it all away! YUCK!!!🤢Ten bucks down the drain! 😡I hope the other stores do a better job.

Well it's a rather large grocery store and we purchased several sale items. Some food and alcohol. Service was good, store was clean etc. Prices hmm all items were on sale. In & out pretty fast and the parking lot was lit up pretty good. Not bad.Oh, I did forget one thing. I love it when they have sale on ice cream, buy one and get one free or you get two for about half price. Gimmicks hey go figure.

Nice store, but when I asked for crab normally the butchers do a great job cleaning them. Mine were not cleaned only slightly broken. Had to do the work myself at home. Workers shouldn't be lazy considering store prices.

This is my favorite store to grocery shop. Always clean, well stocked and staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are great , be sure and get the club card. Front manager is Liz.. she is a wonderful asset to the store. Welcoming, always smiling 😃 and helpful.

Do not order online, especially for delivery. Apparently they have different systems for online. We ordered some deli platters for a grazing table at our wedding 4 days before our wedding only to get a text message early on the morning of our wedding telling me that they barely got the order and that we needed to be more time-efficient and give them 24 hours notice. They did not refund me the delivery charge and there was so much confusion of it all. Good thing we have lots of family that we're willing to help or the food situation would have been a disaster.

Great place to grocery shop. The store is very clean inside. It has a great selection of items to choose from. The store includes the following departments. A Deli, Bakery, Meats and seafood, Pharmacy, Produce, Floral with Quest Diagnostics and Starbucks coffee.The staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful.I forgot to mention the Safeway gasoline station.
