AMAZING! Jan is the est! She was fantastic with my 30lbs Maine Coon even with dogs there. She accomodated us on New Year's Day bc she understood how easily Maine Coons get matted fur and how it makes them uncomfortable and sometimes ill. She is experienced, sweet & knowledgeable and I wi never take Buddy anywhere else again! AWESOME GROOMER! JUST AWESOME!

Jan was so kind and gentle with myfur baby. She had me hold my baby while she clipped her nails, which I appreciate since we’re new clients. My baby was not stressed out at all since I held her during the clipping, instead of just leaving her there. You can tell she knows what she’s doing. She’s pretty quick also. I will come back with my other fussy fur baby next time.

I took my dog here twice. Huge mistake. Both of these incidents happened with the owner.The first time my dog was three months old and his nails were cut way too short and he was bleeding, which she tried to hide from me. I gave her the benefit of the doubt since he was an energetic puppy, but the way she handled it made me very uncomfortable.The second time I came in I made an appointment for my dog (now 8 months old) to get his nails trimmed. She told me I would be dropping him off then picking him up when he was done, so I didn't make arrangements for someone to watch my toddler.Her dogs were running around the shop and barked at us when we came in. My dog barked back at them and she yelled at me that I needed to get my dog training because he didn't know how to behave. She then came out front, got mad when she saw I had my daughter with me, and said I needed to get down on the ground and hold my dog so she could trim his nails. I was eight and a half months pregnant and had no business doing that, but she didn't seem to care.When I tried to put my toddler down to hold my dog she cried because she was afraid of the owner's dogs barking and trying to get over the counter (they weren't on leashes). When I told her I wouldn't be able to hold my dog she got upset and slammed my dog against the wall and tried to muzzle him. I grabbed my dog's leash from her, told her we would try a different day, and left feeling absolutely furious.1) I have never gone to a groomer and been told I needed to hold my dog down. If that was the case I would do it at home and not pay someone to do it.2) Walking in to her dogs jumping on the counter barking at us was very unprofessional and it was crazy to me that she immediately got upset that my dog barked back. She continuously made comments about me needing to get my dog training (which we have) whenever he responded to her being rough with him or her dogs aggressively barking. Any dog, no matter how well trained, wouldn't respond well to that situation.3) When I made the appointment she told me I would be dropping my dog off and picking him up, but as soon as I walked in she told me I needed to hold him. Her being frustrated that I had my toddler and was too pregnant to get down on the ground was very out of line when I had no idea I was expected to help. She was extremely rude to me and my daughter.4) SLAMMING MY DOG AGAINST THE WALL. At that point he wasn't barking, he was whining and trying to hide behind me and was very clearly afraid. For her to do that in front of me and act like it was no big deal makes me wonder how she treats animals when the owners aren't there.I have never been so upset in my life. This woman has no business working with animals.

Canine Clippers are the BEST!! Moved here 3 years ago and this place is very thorough and reasonably priced compared to the Bay area. Its too bad there was a poor review of one star posted to this site by mistake, regarding shots. There is no one there named Carolyn and Jan has been the groomer there since 1995 and is always BUSY, and takes great care of my cat for her haircuts in the HOT season.I would recommend this place to anyone who loves their pets!

FANTASTIC groomer. Our previous groomer had done extremely poorly so we decided to take our dog here. Best decision we've made for our dog. Amazing improvement. The groomer is such a nice lady and does a wonderful job for a reasonable price. I highly recommend Canine Clippers!

Canine Clipper in Jackson is the best cat groomer around...our cats always look fantastic after she's done and whatever shampoo she uses leave leaves smelling great for weeks afterwards! Highly recommended...she's he's at 223-5658 and the shop is next to Big Five.

I took my 13 pound Maltese to this place for a simple Grooming. Kept dog in car while I talked to Carolyn about the Groom. I was told my dog would have to get the Batola and Rabies shot before she would Groom my dog. I presented paperwork from the Petco in San Francisco that gave my dog his shots. My dogs shots are current until 2019.With all my Documentation,Carolyn refused to groom my dog. Carolyn really pressed for me to go to some place called Blue Oak and get my dog some more shots. Carolyn wanted me to Double Medicate my dog. That's a big Red Flag to me.I personally wouldn't recommend or be recommending this place to anyone.

I will never take my baby back there she is terrible and my dog has never been the same ! She cut him on his side, gave him sever clipper burn on his bottom and he looked terrible , I dropped him off at 9 am and he still hadn't even been started when I went to pick him up at 3 ! Plus she is just RUDE !!! Never ever again !!!
