Took my Dog there for a bath and a trim i was really surprised at how much it cost. It cost $97.45 which is outrageous for the work done. He did not need a brushout but they charged $15.00 dollars for that they also charged $5.99 for the shampoo .I believe it was too expensive for the work done and will not be coming back. I checked my old receipts and the last time it was only $50.00. I was impressed with the Staff very friendly not their fault they have raised their prices so much. My dog is only 25 pounds.Highway robbery.

We came here specifically to find cat grass because our cat was eating our plant. The cat grass was half brown and $10 for a small amount. The nearby Vons sells cat grass for $3 and the grass is so healthy green and double the amount that was at Petco.Everything else about the store is nice. We come here a lot for cat food, etc.

The food I bought (whole hearted) had a fish bone that was caught in my cats throat!! I will never buy it again!! Luckily I was able to get it out and didn’t have to go to the vet!!

Not my go to pet store but we needed an aquarium asap for our resuced pet turtle. Looks like they have re-modeled inside and it's a much better set of from the last time I was in there, which was a few years ago now. They had loads of tanks in stock so I was super pleased and so is Lola

I appreciate Vital Care—I received a complimentary bag of cat food with my regards. The staff's professionalism, calm demeanor, and helpfulness stood out. While I couldn't locate the small cat hammock tree with scratching posts I saw online, the cashier, despite a busy line, maintained excellent composure.

Petco is always a good place to go, their staff turns over quickly but they're good people to deal with. Do your research about the best dog foods before going there, the staff recommends the food with the best profit margin.

This store on Warner Ave. Refused to accept another Vets prescription for pet dietary food. When I called to speak to the manager about it they(The person on the phone) hung up on me. Don't go there

I must say that Petco has cleaned up their store quite a bit. Service is friendly and the wonderful young man that helped me with the fish was very knowledgeable👍 I only wish I could remember his name as he truly provided me with excellent customer service🙋 That's him in the photo with the red shirt..look for him..he's awesome!I was actually in for some food for my turtle (pictured) of 21 years👋🐢 which I did get..however seeing as the fish tanks was so clean and healthy..I enquired about getting some of those too.On the day I was in the fish all looked healthy and the guy that helped me took great care of them and none were sick as they had been before. Over all I pick Petco over the competitor ( I won't mention). Petco have earned my business and I'm really liking the new changes made. Keep up the good work.👍

Customer service is phenomenal. Stopped by to grab some supplies today not expecting to receive outstanding service. Jennifer and her manager (didn’t catch her name) reached out to their team to help me get an extra discount since I’m a VitalCare member. They walked me through the rewards and discounts I get through the app. The other store I signed up with didn’t even mention anything about this to me, and they did it without asking, without hesitation. Pleasantly surprised because I didn’t expect this from a big pet store chain. Jennifer was so sweet and patient. Thank you so much!! They saved me $15 off today :’)

I popped in to pick up chew treats and was able to find what I needed, the staff is always helpful and pleasant and truly love the pets that we are all shopping for. I also have my Cavapoo groomed there and they do a wonderful job and treat her very kindly.

Went in shopping for some new cat food, litter, and litter box last minute not knowing exactly what I wanted and what was best for my cat. Luckily, Jane was there to help! We asked her a inventory question on some cat food I was interested in purchasing. That question turned into multiple more due to Jane being very knowledgeable about the products sold here. We walked out of that store very happy with alot of new information about the vital care program, cat food, return policy, and litter that we will be purchasing once my cat is adjusted. This will now be my favorite petco location solely because of Jane and her awesome customer service.

DO NOT take your dog to get groomed here. I was so excited to give my puppy a spa day, but it was actually very traumatizing for him. Not because of the grooming itself, but because of the way they handled him from the start. I don’t know how you can work at petco and have ZERO knowledge on how to communicate with a dog. The first introduction was them forcing one of their collars around his neck. Not even a sniff so he can get to know them, just straight for the neck. That’s terrifying for a puppy. And when I asked if I could just do it because he was struggling so hard, the girl training the guy who was putting it on sat back with a cold, dismissive, “he has to do it”. I should have taken my dog and left right then. At least explain why he has to do it. Because he’s training? All of my questions were met with the same annoyed tone. Seriously the worst part was picking him up smelling like the STRONGEST vanilla perfume. Which I’m sure he didn’t appreciate and personally gave me the worst headache. I ended up taking him home and giving him another bath. No one even told me about how strong and disgusting that smell would be. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

Yesterday Wednesday, August 17th I came in to return 3 items (calm supplements for my dog) at the Huntington Beach store in Warner. I didn't have a receipt and the cashier called the manager. I told him I brought it through instant cart. He told me I needed a receipt and if it was over 30 days he couldn't accept the return because it was company policy. I said bummer but ok and went ahead and purchased over 100 dollars worth of merchandise. Right before I was leaving a Caucasian lady came in to return an item. She also had no receipt and she didn't know when she purchased it. The manager told her that the company policy was no returns over 30 days. She started to laugh and said ok then I bought it 29 days ago. They both laughed and he said, "I will do it this time for you." I was shocked he said told her that. He knew I heard him since I was next to him but he didn't care.He can make exceptions for her but not for me. Why? Is it because she was white and I am not?Feeling disgusted by the obvious prejudice and racism I picked up my paid items and left.I've been a Loyal customer for several years and this is the first time I've encountered this.Martie Tapley

Terrible store! Don't go to the store on Warner and Springdale. I was a customer for years and they have continually gone down hill. They don't even deserve 1 star. More than once I was told that they had a 2 month waiting list for grooming! I just needed my pet's nails trimmed!!! I walked in for a nail trim as you cannot schedule an appointment for this service online. If you call, you'll never receive a call back. Absolutely no one or any pets were in grooming. Grooming was empty. How can they state their so busy? I was told by another employee that they have a 3 month waiting list. This is ridiculous! The staff in the entire store are rude and not eager to please. I will never step foot in a Petco again. The shelves aren't fully stocked and the store is messy. Very unsatisfied x-customer!

Ok so, here is the deal here is the thing, this place is enormous. And it has a great selection of birds over some of the other Petcos. So if you're looking for a bird 🐦 I would check this Petco out first. The turtles sold here are typically larger than some I have seen at some of the other Petcos as well. But they have a great selection of everything, and truth be told, if you can't find it here, then you probably don't need it.

Petco is always nice. They seemed to have more diverse inventory this last time I visited. Reptile supplies and the fish area looked stocked. I would like to recommend putting the gift cards in the front next to check out rather than hidden behind some displays a few aisles over. This way I won't have to give up my place in line, to pay, because I had to get a gift card.

Don’t take your dog to get groomed on Adams and Magnolia. I don’t usually write reviews but grooming staff in Huntington Beach Petco is horrible. If I could give Zero stars, I would. I tried twice to bring my dog here, first time I thought ok maybe bad service was one time thing. My mistake, second time was worse. I witnessed them mistreating people’s dogs. They aggressively handle dogs if they can’t get the dog to hold still. They refuse dogs by telling owners that the dog doesn’t behave and can’t return. How is the grooming department still in business?They tried to tell me that my dog is incontinent. I asked them if they were qualified to make that diagnosis? Their response was “we can refuse any dog”. I told them he likely is nervous and has never had incontinence problems. I told them they shouldn’t be giving diagnosis if they’re not qualified to do so.They were clearly frustrated with my feedback and instead told me my dog can’t return.

Petco is the only groomer I will take my babies to because they personalize the care of my dogs and know their personalities. Daisy and Lucy hate baths at home but they love Petco and come home happy and smelling delicious like a day at the spa!

Awesome pet store. Bring the buddy to get groomed here sometimes too, they always do great job. Also visit for snake food.
